Learning to drive can be a challenge, so I decided to head to Renault in Bolton to take a look at vehicles as a first-time buyer, to help give me a rough idea at what would be available when the time comes and I do pass my driving test, and to get some extra motivation to get me through.
The location is good, along Manchester Road, there are plenty of other dealerships nearby including Nissan and Mazda, so it's easy to head to a couple of dealerships on the same day if you allow enough time.
The staff in the dealership had great knowledge about the cars and pricing schemes and seemed friendly and helpful, while at the same time not being pushy towards a sale at all. It just felt really comfortable and friendly overall.
I was mainly looking at the Renault ZOE, as I'm looking for an EV, they had a display model inside the showroom, to look at and sit in. I was advised that this car is set to be discontinued and replaced by the R5, which would be the most similar model.
The showroom was also spacious and clean and didn't seem too messy or overcrowded like other dealerships.
They do close at 18:00 during the week, which I find to be very limited as it doesn't allow much time for people to come in, in the afternoons and after work; they close even earlier on weekends.
Very friendly staff, a modern dealership and many positives for sure. 4* read more
