RENAISSANCE Renaissance are the top tier luxury hotels and resorts of their parent company Marriott. Little less than an hour from The Bronx and a ten minute drive from MetLife Stadium is this fitting hotel in East Rutherford, NJ. Friendly staff Decent sized clean rooms Comfortable Beds and Pillows Highway Views NYC like Bar/Lounge. Serving great salads. Decent charcuterie. And well prepared drinks sprinkled with lively bartender bar talk, topping off our stay at this NJ property. TIP: Shuttle Bus option to stadium $20.00 p/p Check-In 4:00am (Early Check-In avail) Check-Out 11:00am (Late Check-Out avail) Daily Parking Fee Concierge Breakfast 3.5

I choose this hotel because the price was obviously better than anything in New York City. We came for a quick 24hrs in New York as the hotel is in New Jersey but, close enough for driving into the city. Also, even closer the American Dream. The lobby was very nice with great decor with a small hotel store available. The rooms were very spacious with the microwave in the lobby area. I did not have time to check out the on-site bar and restaurant. The staff was friendly and there was a $12 charge for parking added to the room. The hotel sit right off the highway but, there are no attractions surrounding the hotel. Otherwise , I will be back.

I can't speak much of the hotel since we weren't guests. However, the lobby is pretty. However, if you're attending Bananas Comedy Club, as we did, double check your receipt!! (The reason I'm leaving the review under the hotel is because I understand it's the hotel who manages food and beverages.) Back in March (yes, it's now July), we attended a comedy show and had a wonderful time. We ordered a sampler platter, 2 sodas, and 2 glasses of wine. The bill comes out towards the end of the show, it's dark, and my husband hands over his credit card to pay. As we're walking out, he comments to me that the bill was over $110. Seemed a little high, but it is what it is. We get to the car and look over the receipt only to find we were charged $42, for a bottle of wine when I only ordered a glass. I spoke to a family member of a friend who works there and was told they got a new system that weekend and it was a common mistake, but an easy fix. I was told to call John in catering to get it straightened out. I've left several messages and have not heard a word.

Great hotel! I came in a few days ago for 1 night. The hotel lobby was clean, orderly, and peaceful. The front desk attendants were very approachable, helpful, and kind. The hallways are cute with the prettiest light sconces. A light walk away, I loved the first floor bathroom's luxe design. The room had spacious bathrooms and area space. READ ABOUT MY DINNER AT FINCH'S (THEIR ONSITE DINE-IN RESTAURANT) IN MY FOOD REVIEW! I love the soft pillows on the bed, very comforting. The blankets had a bit of weight which was also comforting. Thank goodness for their complimentary (on shower wall) full size shampoo and conditioner; there was a body wash available as well. Hotel sized bar of soap and lotion stood on the sink/vanity. I appreciated the extra counter space and dish. The room at night was peaceful. I chose breakfast on the 9th floor and it did not disappoint. It was buffet style. I have to return in order to learn the breakfast attendant's name. She was very helpful and kind. I put a scoop of egg on my plate with some 3 turkey sausage links; I also put 1/2 a Belgian waffle, and half a scoop of their delicious breakfast potatoes. I chose to pour a glass of orange juice. While grabbing napkins, I grabbed a croissant, delectable. It was a lovely breakfast I couldn't finish. I'm not sure if there is a pool on the premises as I did not ask. I apologize for my lack of photos; I guess this gives me a reason to return!

My family stayed here at this hotel a few years ago. We had a terrible experience and was promised by Peter Warner (Front Office Manager) a comp stay for a future stay. We recently reached out and spoke to the new director there Seidou Ngapout. He declined the comp even though I have a email stating a promise of a future comp stay at the hotel. He said they are under new management. Beware staying at this hotel because they don't honor their commitments to the hotel industry. I will be contacting the BBB about this poor hospitably and poor business ethics. If you're staying here at this hotel, don't let them promise you anything, make sure they fix the problem and give you something that they can't take away.

I give the team a lot of credit for pivoting when it was clear The Hudson Rose wasn't going to take, but Nutley still exists a few steps below Montclair and Maplewood in this regard. A post-pandemic restaurant needs certainty and needs to minimize the weird lulls that now exist in the dining calendar. Bacarosa had the product and service, but there just weren't the logistics to drive this kind of scale. Nutley's always been kinder to the smaller places on Franklin Avenue, and I think that's still where it sits as a dining destination. That's no fault of the staff or product, but that makes it very difficult to manage overhead on this space, quality, and staffing. I don't look forward to this space inevitably taking a step back to its Gondola/Peter the Great banquet hall days of yesteryear, but The Franklin Steakhouse set a poor precedent by moving from its cozy spot just north of here to a space that could hold two of its former locations. I wish this team the best and hope we see them in this corner of the county again sometime. Thank you for giving the place the quality it deserved, even if the traffic just wasn't there.

I was pleasantly surprised that they had roast pork as one of the entrées in the buffet. I don't typically think of that being an Italian dish, but regardless it was really delicious and that made me happy! They also had chicken francaise amongst other dishes. I must say that I consider myself a chicken francaise connoisseur. Lol! That is my favorite Italian dish and what I always pick when I go to an Italian restaurant. I found this particular chicken franchise to be just OK because the chicken was on the thick side and I like it thin. I also thought there should be a bit more sauce in the container it was in. I do remember that the other time I was there the chicken francaise was thick as well. Otherwise, the restaurant is fine as they have ample parking, though the spots are tight. Service was attentive and I do recommend the restaurant for any party or event.

In February 2026 she received an email stating that due to the time of year and demand, the price would have to be increased which came to an additional $700 for the party.
