There's plenty of parking outside and inside is set up where you can have tables and chairs in one area and there's an area where they serve food out of. We attended because one of our relatives is expecting. We had a good time we played a few games and food was served. This is still pretty new to me, but I would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

They did a fantastic job with our wedding in terms of keeping it organized and on point…read more The whole event flowed smoothly on the day of. We got lots of compliments about the venue and food. It seemed like everyone really enjoyed it. The pictures on the website are accurate and this is a very good facility for both the ceremony and dinner. We looked around town quite a bit and did not find a nicer venue. The chapel was surrounded by trees - creating a serene environment - and the dining area was a very elegant dining room with adjacent outdoor patio areas, bar and dance floor. The venue is high quality with a classic style and requires very little to no additional decorating. They will do any tablecloth or centerpiece upgrades, etc, for you. They also coordinate with the florist so you really have no venue preparation work beforehand unless you are doing something highly customized. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous which was a concern because you want guests to be happy and well fed. You do need to be aware that kids meals are not the same as adult meals, which seems obvious in retrospect. But, we didn't understand that until after we sent out our invites with RSVP's. I think it was an oversight on our part with so much going on. Luckily, the kids liked their meals. There are two types of wedding venues: 1) Venues where you rent a space and then do everything else yourself, and 2) venues that are more turn-key. Turn key places charge lower amounts for facilities but charge more for food and alcohol which you can't get from a third party vendor. That's the trade off. Prices around town just to rent a venue like the Julia Ideson Library for example are extremely high for what you get, so it made sense just to pick a good venue and have them do most of the work for us. AG is turn key. I think it evened out with what we would have paid to do all the work ourselves, so that was a big plus that we got a high quality wedding without having to attend to all the details ourselves. Otherwise, you have to rent chairs and silverware and handle all the little details yourself. Since the food at the venue was excellent, it didn't matter that we couldn't have it catered. The wedding coordinator on the day of was a big help and kept us from having to do event management on the wedding day. You will still have to hire a DJ, photographer, florist, minister and getaway driver, so there is still a lot of work to do for a wedding. All those people can coordinate pretty easily with the event planner, though. The wedding planner even took it on herself the day of to call the limo company that was picking us up and make sure it happened on time so the car was just waiting for us. Also, if you have a served meal as opposed to buffet, you will need to do your own seating chart and name placards. You will also need to bring in your gift card holders and small details like that. Just be aware. You'll likely have to do that anywhere, though. It was a great experience getting married here. Update: 7 months later, people still keep talking about what a good wedding it was. One out of town guest said it was the best venue she'd ever been to. I just saw Cody J's review and am confused as to what all the issues were. AG certainly does not warrant 1 star. That is somewhat bothersome to see your wedding venue get dinged by someone and have him say the venue was lacking when it wasn't. You do have to be really organized and understand what is going on to keep your wedding at a certain budget. There are simply too many options and variables that only the couple can make decisions on. You have to ask tons of questions. That is true basically anywhere. It doesn't seem like he knew what was going on.

An Evening At The Ball…read more I attended a beautiful, elegant, and breathtaking wedding at this particular venue. With its enormous and spacious ball room which consists of 500 maximum capacity, this venue is great for a plethora of big events. Special features are high ceilings, grand spiral stair case located behind the stage area, and the large foyer area when you first enter the building. Not only do they rent this gorgeous building, but they also offer event planning, decorative, catering and hosting services. The wedding party consisted of three sections, the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. During cocktail hour, guests were presented with a self serve buffet of fruits and veggies with multiple sauces and dips. The catering and wait staff were top-notch. With over 300 people in attendance, the wait staff worked as a team to provide fast service in serving each table. They were well organized and dominated extreme professionalism. Instead of standing in a long line during the reception, all tables were served simultaneously by the wait staff. The dinner menu consisted of warm bread rolls, a side salad, chicken Alfredo pasta accompanied by fresh steamed carrots, and green beans. The beverage list included sweet tea, sprite, and coke soda. The food was delicious and the sweet tea was magnificent! The wedding planners and decorating team did an awesome job creating an extravagant and elegant event that will leave the bride and groom with beautiful memories to reflect upon in years to come! The soft classical music, dim lighting and the flickering of the burning candles created a relaxing tone as the guests waited for the ceremony to began. The decorations were traditional and classical with soft pastel-colored florals, center pieces, and sheer draperies. The vibe was one out of a Disney Princess story. It felt like an evening at the ball! I rated this establishment four stars based upon the cleanliness of the ballroom, the lovely presentation and setup of the decorations, the professionalism of the wait staff and owners, and the relaxing ambience of the atmosphere. My only complaint and the reason I did not give five stars, is that the women's and men's restrooms were out of hand soap and were not restocked. This is an important matter that should be addressed immediately especially with COVID and other germs spreading rapidly. However, I highly recommend this venue if you are seeking a beautiful ballroom for your special occasion.

I want to express my deep disappointment with the management at La Fontaine. We have used this…read moreballroom for multiple events over the years, including my own wedding, but this recent experience was by far the worst. Our niece's 15th party on 7/12 had several issues starting with the setup. Two main decor features listed in the contract were not installed. When we raised this with the manager on duty, Mr. Sergio , we were told these features were missing and too late to be set up. The decor manager should have proactively informed us about the shortfall and arranged a credit for the missing items, but no communication was made. The decor manager did not hold any accountability that she list some decor in the ballroom. The maintenance of the ballroom also showed a significant decline. Four industrial portable AC units were in use--was this communicated beforehand? Was the main AC not functioning? If so, should we receive compensation for this? Additionally, many ceiling tiles had visible water stains hidden behind fabric. Why weren't these replaced? It feels like an attempt to hide the damage. The gold glass tables inside were dirty and not cleaned before the event as well. Customer service at the bar was equally disappointing. The bartender, Patricia, displayed a poor attitude, was slow, and lacked the energy expected in her role. My father-in-law even had to step behind the bar to help because of her slow service, which offended her. She also cut people off arbitrarily, handling the situation poorly and causing discomfort for many guests. A bartender should be upbeat, efficient, and courteous, none of which were evident. On a positive note, the manager Sergio was great trying to resolve these issues, though the decor manager did not support him well and clearly needs retraining on client communication and decor management. Overall, this experience was hugely disappointing, especially given the high price and reputation La Fontaine portrays was not refilled and run down. I hope my feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality of service in the future.

It's a beautiful historic building located in the Heights, and it's a quirky space, with the old truck bays downstairs and a more conventional event space upstairs. The Good: Lovely historic building. Decent parking. Central location. The Bad: Difficult Management. Management is available only on Saturdays from 9-10am. No other times - if you need to measure, plan, or tour the venue, that's when you've got to be there. No rehearsal times are possible, unless you rent the venue again. Management seemed put off after our second visit - we wouldn't have had to come back if their hours were not so brief! Questionable Business Practices. We meticulously cleaned the venue after our event, yet $60 was withheld from our deposit, without explanation. After calling them, the excuse we were given was that there was "water on the floor, probably from someone dragging a garbage can." That costs $60 to fix? All in all, it's a pretty place and inexpensive, but the fact that the lady running the operation is so difficult to work with makes it impossible to recommend the venue.
