The chicken doesn't taste real and has a funny after taste that I just can't place. The romaine doesn't look old, but tastes like a combination of old and outside. And, I've had much better dressing. Definitely not at the top of my list of places to order from in the future. So glad I have a stash of beef jerky at my desk!

I had a fair amount of hitches which included two date changes and constant increases in headcount. One week before the event (after I thought everything was finalized), I was asked to host a political meet/greet for a Senate candidate--which added even more to our headcount *and* an earlier start time. Every speed bump was handled with complete ease and reassurance by Karmi and her team. The day of the event, the crew showed up on time, set up 2 hors D'oeuvres buffets in the main area for the pre-party/Open House. During the Open House, appetizers of mini beef wellingtons, shrimp brochette, smoked salmon lollipops and skewered chicken were passed to the guests. Everyone had already raved about the beautiful buffets with the tasty dips, tortes and baked brie. The passed appetizers were served non-stop. Just when I thought that they had surely run out of one of the appetizers, another tray would appear. Everyone loved ALL of the food. The bar service was outstanding, also. Their beverage package included soft drinks, still and sparkling water, three type of wine and a GREAT assortment of beer (Shiner, Dos Equis, Heineken, Bud Light and Budweiser). There may have been a couple more, but it wasn't just a light beer and a regular beer to select from. The wait staff worked efficiently passing around food and clearing up used dishware and stemware. They were dressed very classy, were absolutely friendly and courteous to our guests. They were very well coordinated and worked tirelessly. Mind you, this was after 2 hours of setting up, working the event and then efficiently tearing down everything. They were packed and making rounds to remove their supplies in less than an hour after the event ended. We had a lot of high-ranking guests in attendance and they e-mailed this morning thanking us for hosting such a fantastic party. I really owe the credit to Catering by George, Karmi, Leila and their team for making our event such a success. Thanks so much!

You can tell he loves his job and he does everything he can to make your day perfect. He thinks of everything and has a great vision. His helpers on wedding day were also very nice and helpful. Him and his staff were very intuitive and responsive to our needs. I would 100% recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or other event. He really went far beyond what we expected and I really don't know how to thank him enough. Dewayne is so genuine we all loved him and appreciate everything he did for us.

The woman who was originally helping me left the company and after I e-mailed her a few times with no response I decided to call and I figured out that she no longer worked there. It kind of irked me that they didn't put bother to forward her e-mails to the new assistant or call me to let me know or something. 2. They made a mistake on my bill and charged me for 22% gratuity (contract says 18%) and luckily I caught that before they made their final charges - CHECK YOUR BILL! 3. They put a tax on the Delivery and Set Up Fee which I didn't even think you could do - it would've been really nice if they stated that up front because when you find it later it just feels like you're being nickel and dimed. 4. If you want a napkin fold you have to pick the napkins up yourself a day or two before and take them to whoever is doing the fold - as if you need anything else to do the week of!! Luckily I was able to switch and use the napkins at the reception venue instead. Despite these things the linens looked nice at the reception and they were pleasant people do deal with. I would recommend them at the end of the day.

A lot more affordable then i would have guessed as they were the 4th vendor we went to and had the same quality linens as the others for about half the price. Everything ran smoothly on the wedding day and on time. Had a really good experience with them and will be using this company again later this year when my parents renew their vows! 5 stars and i totally recommend them.

Stephanie (owner) is my coordinator, and she is everything a busy girl needs in her life. Stephanie is like a personal assistant-wedding edition, and she genuinely cares about bringing your vision forward. I cannot stress how important it is to have a coordinator who is ON, all the time. Since I have a crazy schedule and unpredictable work hours/home hours/school hours, it was imperative that I select a full service package. And y'all-En Vogue delivers. She texts me, calls me, tags me, picks up vendor samples for me, proof reads emails for me, communicates with all the top vendors in the city, and goes above and beyond to de-stress a very stressful season in my already-chaotic life. I knew that wedding planning while balancing my full time job and full time school, among life's other surprises, would be a challenge. But she and her team make it feel organized. To start off, it is not my goal to defame En Vogue Events, I am still a bride and customer service is HUGE to me. When looking for vendors, I want the opinions of an honest bride to help me, before signing a contract with a vendor. So, this is my reason for writing. I cancelled my services with the company over two (2) weeks ago and purposely waited this long before writing a review, to see if Haley Hughes would call to reconcile and admit to not following the contract, the company never called/email to apologize, so I decided to let her brides know what I experienced. If I were a confrontational person, who was rude and derogative, then I can expect a company/individual no longer provided their services, but I am the complete opposite. I just expect to get what I paid for and for a company/individual to do their job. I am still in the process of planning my wedding and when I worked with En Vogue Events, it started off okay, but then I noticed Haley would not respond to emails in a timely manner, I would have to remind her to send over timelines, she did not attend the floral meeting (which was stated on the signed contract), she did not contact me to attend meeting with other vendors (also on the signed contract), unreturned phone calls/emails...etc. When I first met with Haley, I mentioned that customer service is the most important quality of a company. She expanded on how she is great at that, she is anal and so business will get done...etc. Just last this month (May 2011), I had to cancel with her in the middle of my planning, because there is no way I wanted to give someone thousands of dollars and they did not care about my wedding When I realized I could not take it anymore, my fiancée and I schedule a meeting with Haley to discuss how this business relationship is not working and what she was going to do; since she did not follow parts of the contract. She understands that my fiancée and I live 60 miles out of the city, so we had to prepare the night before to meet with her. She wrote me around noon, the day we would meet, to cancel. This was not the first meeting she cancelled. After that, I knew she did not care about our wedding. Our venue in Dallas is beautiful and most of the brides who host their wedding there, is willing to pay a lot of money for vendors. Our contact at the hotel has many years of experience and loves to hear about vendors, so she can recommend to her brides. We also plan on having our wedding figured in magazines and websites, which would have also brought her additional contacts. I have no idea if it was a personal grudge (which I have no idea why it would be, because Haley and I barely spoke, she only showed to one meeting to get to know me.) The hotel recommended a new planner in Dallas and we are so happy. I said I would not go over budget for a planner, but I did, just because her recommendations from the hotel, and from other brides was positive. So if someone is willing to go above and beyond, we are willing to pay. This is a long email and I did not included other instances my fiancée and I had with En Vogue Events, but working with them was the absolute WORST part of planning this entire wedding. So, if you want a planner to care about you and your special day, in my opinion, this is not the company.
