    CRISPY EGG ROLLS
    Jennifer N.

Went for Houston Restaurant Week lunch around 2PM on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The decorations are cute but it's an overall casual place. I opted for the $25 HRW menu and got the crispy egg rolls, the black tonkotsu ramen (for an extra $2), and the creme brûlée. My dad got the Nem Nuong Platter. The egg rolls were tasty, very crispy with a good amount of pork. The ramen was flavorful, with lots of noodles. The broth is a little bland at first, but the highlight of the ramen is a thick, well-roasted, plentiful piece of chashu that really makes the ramen well-rounded. The Nem Nuong platter was also a highlight, a sort of deconstructed version where you make your own. Very fresh ingredients with lettuce, mango, cucumbers, crispy rice roll, and a well done sausage, with a nice light sauce that pairs well. The creme brûlée was small but tasty, the top bruleed to a perfect crunch with a nice smooth creme underneath and a strawberry cut in the shape of a heart. Overall, very impressed! Even my dad, who is very critical of Vietnamese food, agreed. Will definitely need to come back and try their other options!

The staff struck me as snooty but the food was damn good. The heartiest Vietnamese food I've ever had. I didn't know some Vietnamese food was like this.

we LOVE this place! It is our go to dinner spot as a family!! We haven't tried anything that isn't absolutely delicious! The inside is beautiful, we love sitting by the bar! They have a great happy hour! Also the owner is always out and walking around talking and helping customers! She's so friendly! Cannot recommend this place enough!

For starters the decor for Christmas made this place stand out. The cucumber martini was perfect. The cooked baos were yummy for an appetizer. My mom and I both had the chicken pho. our waiter Hailey was so sweet and personable. We will be back

Fantastic Japanese Beef Curry Meal !!!

I finally tried this place after hearing great about it. I ordered the Japanese Beef Curry Meal tonight before going to the gym later. It was made well, meaty, soupy, savory and very delicious. It's definitely different than Indian and Thai curries, but a great dish if u are a curry lover like myself. The chunks of beef were all tender, hearty in taste, fatty just enough and had some bite to them. They were soft, but not mushy either. The mushrooms n carrots were well-cooked. My server Levi was very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He did everything so professionally and told me of some other great menu items for next time. The guy at the bar area was also very welcoming as well. I will be back here in the future when I'm around this area and plan to try a couple other tasty entrees.

I went for dinner during their grand opening. I've been reading great reviews on their Pearland location so I decided to try it. Their menu selection was huge and listed which ones were only available at one location (Webster or Pearland). I ordered their mango shrimp (so yummy and it was interesting that the dish had strawberry popping boba with it), Bo luc lac / shaking beef was okay, and lychee lemon drop (so good!). I ate at the bar and Long was the bartender who served me. He was friendly and suggested the drink. I have another drink to try when I go back. I also met the owner. She was friendly and we got to chatting. The decor is beautiful. So is the menu. It looks so fancy and upscale. Even the napkin is fancy. The flowers on the ceiling are beautiful. I will definitely go back here to try their other menu items despite it being on the east side while I'm on the west. I already asked if she can open one on the west side eventually. Too early to ask since she just opened this second location, but I wasn't the first one to ask her.

Stopped in for a ladies night. Beautiful decor. Ordered the mango shrimp...absolutely delicious! Served on a bed of lettuce dressed with mango dressing, not overpowering though, and fresh mango. Shrimp were fresh and lightly battered but crunchy. I ordered the fried eggrolls because they smelled amazing. Served with sweet and sour sauce. They were really good. I didn't order a cocktail today but their drink menu is absolutely impressive. Short night out, but will definitely be back!

My friend and I met here for dinner last week and the ambiance is so pretty! It's not a huge restaurant but had decent seating. It's a good restaurant for families, a date, or just friends. I asked our waiter, Levi, what he would recommend as far as pho or ramen goes (it was cold out so I wanted something soupy) and he said his favorite is the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, so I went with the spicy version of that. I really enjoyed it! It wasn't spicy but gave it a tiny kick. Levi was a great, personable waiter and asked if we had any questions and was available when we needed him. My friend ordered the Vietnamese chicken curry and enjoyed it. For an appetizer, we ordered the spicy wontons but it lacked flavor and needed more broth/sauce. I don't recommend it. I'll definitely go back to try other items.

Made it to the soft opening for the new Remton location in Pearland/ Friendswood. The restaurants design and aesthetic is very cute and the food was delicious as always (my family has frequented the Webster location for many years even before it was renamed to Remton). We had the beef rib phó , special phó , pork spring rolls and a dozen oysters . Our server was prompt, patient and polite. The food took a wee bit longer than normal which is to be expected from a first day soft opening. We didn't mind. No complaints as everything was great! Check them out if you're on that side of town.

This place is phenomenal. I started with the Bay Area location but this much closer to home. The bar is immaculate and stacked! The food is so authentic, bold in flavor and just delicious. The owner will typically come by and greet you and inquire about the experience. The staff is all very kind and accommodating. Please check them out!

Nicely decorated including the bathroom. Service and Food were good. Loved the grilled pork steamed bao and the signature sampler presentation with the blue crab crisp.

With the assistance of the yelp app, we called bars and restaurants sitting in the Denny's off of Woodridge drinking regular coffee. Finally, a lovely young lady picked up the phone, "Cooter Brown's." We had to take detours because the highways were closed too. I already mentioned Texas was closed. Mind you yelp said it had two reviews. I told him, "You know they are probably the owner's friends." The parking lot was empty in the front. How did the bartender get here? When we walked in to my surprise there were a handful of folks all playing darts. They have a back entrance and that's the door the regulars use. Beer only dive bar, doesn't usually suit my fancy, but this one did. They had plenty of Smirnoff in several flavors. We played few rounds of pool and enjoyed plenty of cool music from the jukebox. Everyone there was friendly, even the dude who caused a ruckus and was banned from ever going back during her shift. (Talkative on his way in, but didn't say anything to us on his way out.) Michelle the bartender took great care of us, she was in a great mood for having to work on TX Ice-pocalypse 2017. Cheers to cold, I want to see you weather, and a FUTUREcast of the sniffles. Going out in that cold weather was not a bright idea *sneeze* but going to Cooter Brown's is...

We were looking for a place to grab a drink after a Taco Tuesday meet up and came across Two Dogs on Yelp. Driving up, it was clear that it was a dive. I love a good dive bar, but I honestly didn't know what to expect walking into this establishment. It was a Tuesday, so it wasn't terribly busy. There were some gentlemen playing pool and one of them looked up for a second, then smiled and kept playing. At that moment, I knew we would be fine lol. We were immediately greeted by the bartender (I believe her name was either Tish or Trish). She was very friendly and explained that they only have beer, however you are able to bring in bottles of whatever alcohol you like. I was happy to see a decent craft beer selection and opted for a Crawford Bock. You're also allowed to bring in food. Seating is plentiful at various tables around the bar. At one point, the bartender asked if we needed the air to be turned down because the draft was strong. She was extremely hospitable! They normally have pool tournaments on Tuesdays, but that day they didn't. That may have been why it was super chill. It was a nice way to end our Taco Tuesday.

I parked right in front of the dive bar. Ambiance (3.5/5): You should look at Two Dogs Saloon through the lens of what's its meant to be: a casual dive bar. That means no frills. There's plenty of room in the bar and there was A/C. There's seating at the bar and a good number of tables outside of that. There's also an area with two pool tables and darts. Service (4.5/5): The bartender working was friendly and chatted us up. It was a Tuesday so it wasn't busy but she took good care of us. One pet peeve though: they don't give you an itemized receipt when you pay. I could have asked for one, and I should have, but this is something that should be standard everywhere. Food (N/A): While they don't have food, they allow you to bring your own. There's a Mexican restaurant right by the bar and they have a menu at the bar to make things easy for you. Drinks (4/5): No liquor, this is a beer type of joint. The beer list isn't terribly impressive, mostly your run-of-the-mill. Crawford Bock is what stood out to me out of the options they have. With that being said, the beers are fairly priced so that's a plus. Overall: Bar options in Pearland are limited, especially bars that are open late. If you're looking for a drink at a casual spot with affordable prices, Two Dogs Saloon makes for a good choice. They also have happy hour specials earlier in the day.
