I came away impressed and thankful I made the decision that I did! First off, ample parking. Secondly, ample seating for people who want to come in and either just plop down and do some work there or sit down for a catch-up session. The workers there were all friendly to me. They told me this place has been open for about two years, and that all the beans come from Yemen. Cool! Before I ordered, I had read about the pistachio latte here with oat milk. It was reviewed as delicious, and when I asked the barista, he indeed said it was the most popular thing on the menu. Another cool thing, you can go light on the sweetener if you're watching your sweets in your diet. Also, they add a Haraz spice mixture to it that's all sorts of wonderful. For the pistachio latte, you have the option of getting it hot or cold. I opted for a nice, hot latte. It was delicious. The one thing I would say is that the barista automatically assumed I needed a to-go cup, and when I saw that as part of the order and tried to clarify I was looking to be for here instead of to go, I don't think he got the hint. The reason I say this is because I'm so used to coffee latte art being only done for the for-here cups and not so for the to-go cups at different coffee locations all around, no matter the place, and I wanted to see the neat latte art! Alas, I still only got the to-go cup, but at the end of the day, this is small potatoes because it tasted all sorts of wonderful, even without the latte art. It just a rich earthy feel to it that combined well with the sweetness and oat milk. Oh, and while I didn't get any of the pastries there, I did take a picture of it. It looks so good. One of these days, when I'm not so strict on my diet, I need to try. But I did take a picture of it! I do highly recommend Haraz. This is a quality spot and a nice find in Pearland.

I have been looking for same white mocha and had yet to find it in over 10 years! Then Hando popped up across from my brother in-laws place. I was in absolute heaven when I tried their white mocha cookie frap. I require one everytime I visit manvel/Pearland. Staff has been so nice. No complaints here. There is a drive through where you do order and pay at the window. Hubs is a fan of their cold brew and lattes. I would say decently strong coffee. Havent tried their food options as i just run of coffee. I appreciate the hours of operations opening early enough so we can swing by to pick up coffee on the way to work! He has Type 1 Diabetes, and having nutritional information, especially carbohydrate counts, is extremely important because we have to calculate his insulin based on what he eats. The staff did not have this information available or know where to find it. I know nutritional information is not required for every business, but for families like ours, it's not just a preference. Managing Type 1 Diabetes means constantly making calculations to keep my son safe. Without accurate information, we are left guessing, and guessing with insulin can mean his blood sugar goes too high or too low. As a mom, it's hard enough managing all of the daily decisions that come with T1D. My son should be able to go out with his family, try new foods, and enjoy a normal experience without us having to wonder if we are making the right choice for his health. Having this information available would make a huge difference, not only for people with diabetes but also for customers with allergies or other dietary needs. Even with these concerns, we really do love the feel of First Cup. It's a welcoming place with a great atmosphere, and we will continue coming back. I just hope they consider improving the reheating process and adding nutritional information because those changes would make an already great place even better.
