Drink: This is primarily what tanked my rating. I ordered a Jasmine Green Tea with Lychee Jelly and 50% Sugar. While sweetness was spot on for me, I was surprised to see that my drink was very pale in color, and was upset at how there was virtually no tea flavor whatsoever. While still refreshing, the drink tasted like an overpriced flavored water. Verdict: This place has potential, but it isn't quite hitting the mark for me. Honestly pretty happy with this spot. We swung by after watching a movie to check it out and luckily it wasn't busy so we were able to order right away. Immediately the place felt clean, spacious, colorful and cozy. I liked how readable the menu was so it was easy to pick out something that caught my eye. I got the Silky Mango which was perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness and mango flavor. Arguably one of the best drinks I've had in recent memory. The Thai tea was more or less what you'd expect. We ordered it along with the karaage combo since it becomes a decent deal that way (food kinda pricey otherwise). The flavor and chunks of the chicken along with the sauce were pretty tasty, an above average offering. The sea salt fries were also pretty good and one of the managers asked for our feedback to make sure they weren't cooked too long to improve it for future customers which we appreciated. I'm not a huge boba tea person but I'd say it's the spot I look forward to going back and trying more stuff the most in the area. read more

Their strawberry matcha was okay but the matcha was not very strong. I came to their grand opening, so they probably were still working out their flow. The wait time was very very long (3+ hours) and we were around the 90th in line. It was brutal waiting outside, but they did try to bring around water and their guava sunset drink frequently which was nice. There was some seating along one wall. I noticed they have an espresso machine so you know you're getting the real thing and not just powdered coffee & non dairy creamer milk tea. Now our drinks! "Liquid Gold" (aka Oolong MT) w/ 75% sweet: 9/10 I really enjoyed it, and could taste the oolong tea. Didn't seem watered down at all! "Ube Vietnamese Coffee" less sweet: 10/10 so yummy! On the slightly thicker side. Think of almost like a melted icecream consistency but really good. Definitely can taste the ube AND the viet coffee which goes so well together. I'm a fan! I heard about Teaspoon opening up on the Pearland Eats Facebook page, so I knew I had to check it out. I got the Liquid Gold drink (honey oolong tea with cream) and added honey boba, 25% sweetness, and light ice. I liked how you could actually taste the tea and it had just the right amount of sweetness. The texture of the boba was perfectly cooked also. I downloaded the app for $3 off, and while the cashier had initial difficulties redeeming my coupon, it was fixed quickly by the manager. The interior of the store is a decent size, it's very clean, and the paintings on the wall are pretty. Personally, I think their classic milk tea is pretty up there for me (8/10)! You get the taste of their tea + cream that comes with it (it's not watered down like a lot of other bubble tea spots). The honey boba is slightly chewy and sweet (perfect texture). I haven't tried their other drinks but my husband has gotten their silky mango drink and he likes it - good balance of milk & mango. Their customer service is elite -- they always have my order ready to go and see me so often that they know me by name I'm glad to see Pearland expanding with the bubble tea scene -- this spot opening up on this side of town is a game changer. Teaspoon is Pearland's newest boba spot and has only been open for about a month. It's in a shopping strip right on 288 so it's easily accessible with plenty of parking. Per usual when new places open up, I give them a month or two before I check it out for myself. I came on a Sunday for an after lunch coffee fix. Inside is spacious with a good amount of tables and seats off to one side. They have some merch and an ordering kiosk if you don't feel like talking to anybody. There was a young crew working and it took a little bit before someone acknowledged me. I asked a few questions but didn't really get solid answers so I was on my own to figure out what I wanted. I'm sure you guessed by the name that their big sellers focuses on tea drinks. You can get it in the milk tea, fruity, or matcha variety. They also have a handful of coffee and lemonade selections as well. I had a taste for coffee and I saw one of their seasonal specials was the Dirty Thai Tea. It was your traditional Thai tea, but mixed with some strong coffee. I added some honey boba for some texture. While they were making the drinks, I saw they had a large selections of toppings for drinks like boba, gels and what not. It's not on the main menu, but visible to see. I also saw where they prepare their boba. The drink took awhile to come out and they were not really calling people's names. I just happened to make eye contact with the young man who took my order and he just offered me my drink. The drink itself on first sip was strong. After a nice stir, I really liked the mix of Thai tea and coffee. It definitely gave me a little extra pep in my step. If you want a more refreshing drink, a regular Thai tea would be more up your alley. The honey boba was perfect. It had the right firmness to it and had a nice hint of sweetness to it. Tried teaspoon's newest location in pearland on my way to study for finals at the pearland library. I tried them once before in Austin and remembered liking the liquid gold. I ordered the same drink here and my classmate got the creamy jasmine. The liquid gold is a honey oolong tea infused with tea. If you get their app you have 2 separate discounts you can use but I forgot to apply them while ordering. The drink wasn't as good as I remembered it being in Austin but they did just open so they're probably working out some things. I felt like my drink wasn't sweet enough. Went for their grand opening BOGO deal and was happy to have another tea spot in the area. There's some saturation here but I think one more can't hurt. Lines were very long though I still couldn't quite figure out why. It took 20 minutes just to get through to take my order, and it only took less than a minute to place it, so even with the long line, it shouldn't have been that excessive. It took another 25 to get my drinks, so I think there's just a bunch of kinks to work out. My drinks were crazy sweet despite asking to reduce the sweetness and they forgot to add the toppings. I didn't catch this until after I had left and I wasn't about to return to wait in line again. I hope they do well once they've been operating a couple more months. read more

Came here on opening weekend to take advantage of their bogo deal. I opened the guava drink and ube coffee. Both of them were supposed to be less sweet. Either they were made incorrectly or their drinks are just super sweet because both of them needed to be watered down. Especially the guava one. I wound up not even drinking it. Which is a shame because I think the flavor would be great if it weren't overly sweet. So just a word of caution, I would definitely order your drinks at half or less sweetness. I visited Teaspoon recently and read on Yelp that you get $3 off if you use the app. It took a while for me to figure out what to get because of all the unique drink options. I ended up choosing liquid gold with boba. The total drink cost was nearly $7 but luckily a more reasonable price with the coupon on the app. We were here on a weekend afternoon and it was busy. Drinks took about 15 minutes to come out. They were not announcing names when drinks were ready either so it was confusing to know when your drink was ready. Eventually we just went up to the pick up counter to ask if our drinks were done or not. Know that if you order online or through the app they will put your drink in the fridge once it's ready. On the app you could only add on brown sugar crystal boba as a topping. I just checked again and this has been updated. I think we weee looking for regular honey boba not this other boba which is smaller pieces and tastes different. The drink overall was tasty but I was disappointed to see that I had gotten the wrong boba. I also tried their Vietnamese coffee and it is very strong! We ordered off their online app (they have a $3 off promo for new members) and the drink was not prepared - the empty cup was just sitting behind the counter and I had to request the worker to prepare my drink after people who arrived later than me got their drinks first. My drink was prepared completely wrong - ice when I requested no ice, no boba when I requested boba. I got the liquid gold drink which is their honey oolong tea with lactose free cream 10% sweetness no ice. The tea was very watered down, lacking any flavor at all. Also no creaminess whatsoever. It was basically like drinking water with boba. The boba texture was average, not the most optimal chewiness but pretty standard. I decided to give this place a try because of the buy-one-get-one-free promotion and thought, why not? I asked my mom to pick them up for me and told her to request no ice. However, they charged extra for no ice (which is standard), but still filled the drinks as if ice had been added. If you're charging extra, the drinks should be filled properly to make up for the extra space. On top of that, the amounts weren't consistent and one was almost half a cup full--which is pretty crazy, since I've never seen a milk tea served that low before without ice. UPDATE: I've included a picture of the response from the owner so everyone can see the type of person running this business. It's disappointing that an owner cannot take accountability for their business failing to do something correctly. Making wild accusations instead of owning up to mistakes is mind-blowing. I've never had a manager--let alone an owner--say such things. No, the milk tea did not leak (the plastic lid is sealed to the cup), and no, it did not sit in the sun long enough to evaporate. I was so glad to find a boba place nearby and for my first 4 visits, the service was spectacular! One girl even helped me decide on a drink for my autistic son who has texture issues, and when I came back the next day, she asked if he liked it (he loved it) and we celebrated that "win" together. That was such a sweet moment and I was really looking forward to this being a frequent indulgence. However, my visit today sealed the deal and I'm done with Teaspoon Pearland. I do not like the regular boba that comes on a drink (too hard, too chewy), so I've been substituting it with a different kind and they didn't charge me extra for the swap. Today I went in and ordered the exact same thing I got just yesterday and a woman who told me this is a "franchise" and she is a "manager" said I would be charged for the swap because the black boba that comes on the drink is free (hilarious! nothing is free!) but the brown sugar boba is not. Then she said something about the people who didn't charge me were wrong and shouldn't have done that and I am sure those sweet people weren't trying to cheat the business because they don't know me from a can of paint.
