I had been hesitating for months to install a new remote start system in my 2021 Toyota RAV4. It just felt overwhelming to me S someone who hates paperwork and has ADHD. The original remote start that came with my car stopped working over the summer, and when I contacted the local Toyota dealership, they wanted about $400 to upgrade the software. Considering I've been paying nearly $20 a month for the subscription since I bought my car in 2021, I found that pretty frustrating. Instead, I chose to explore an aftermarket option that would be more affordable. I'm glad I did--so far, I'm extremely happy with the remote start system recommended by the owners of Remotely Started. They are a homebase company. They were incredibly helpful, answering my questions and making me feel comfortable throughout the process. Best of all, installation took less than an hour. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, and high-quality aftermarket remote start. read more

I recently had an OEM remote start and Drone Mobile installed in my Stinger and have zero complaints about my experience at Remotely Started MN. Scheduling my appointment was done easily through their website, I received prompt updates and notifications prior to my appointment and JD was able to get started on my car right away even though I arrived a bit early. Installations are done out of their household, so you're likely going to meet the whole family (and pup) while waiting for JD to do his thing, but everyone was very friendly and install only took about an hour. Overall, the price was very competitive (OEM starter and Drone Mobile install was done for less than I could find the OEM starter alone), service was friendly and the administrative details were a breeze. Would certainly recommend if you're in the market for an OEM or aftermarket remote starter. read more

The service was a fair price and done professionally and quickly. Don't be worried that the business is ran out of a house. This is a great small business and way better then last one I had done at a Best Buy. read more

From beginning to end these people are beyond amazing. You can pick a remote starter from the website. There is all kinds of information about each one and even videos demonstrating them. You can schedule a appointment right from the website to fit your schedule. Their prices are the same or lower then the other places. And when you arrive to have the work done the process is seamless! Fast and accurate. My old car, best buy put a remote starter in and it. Took two techs almost six hours, J.D Had my new one done in about thirty minutes. Save the stress, the waiting, and some money...Get your new remote starter at Remotely started. Like me you wont regret it read more

With just 1 review on yelp I was a bit skeptical. Then I went over to the website and saw the tons of happy customer reviews and I gave it a shot. I filled out the form, looked over my options and then asked a couple questions via email. I got a response right away and had all my questions answered. After making a $20 deposit I was able to easily schedule my appointment online. Fast forward a week or so... I just had a Compustar RF-2WG9-SP 2-way remote start installed on my 99 tacoma and couldn't be happier. I pulled into the garage and 45 minutes later and after a quick tutorial I was on my way. The remote start works even though I'm down a side hill and on the other side of my condo building. This thing is awesome, I'm not sure how I lived without it. I'll be recommending JD to anyone who needs a remote starter installed at a reasonable price. read more

Everything was great! This is all JD does, and it shows. He was quick (less than an hour) and properly installed the remote starter. The cost was fantastic for any install, much less one done by someone with as much experience as him. Brooklynn welcomed me and made me a cup of coffee to enjoy in their comfortable waiting area. Overall, it was just an extremely pleasant experience. Even scheduling was easy - you can do it all online. If I ever have another remote starter put in, I will come back to Remotely Started. Unless you hate money, there is no reason to look anywhere else. read more

This is the 2nd remote start I have had installed here. Fast, reasonably priced, great service, awesome customer care...just some of the thing you can expect. I couldn't recommend better. read more

I had my remote starter installed on 12/11/2017 but wanted to wait a while before giving a review. First of all, my inquiry for a quote was replied the very next day, I picked a time that I wanted and the scheduling set up was extremely easy. Went to my appointment and was there for maybe 30-40 mins max and everything was good to go. JD gave me some instructions on my two way remote and off I went. From the quote to the install, everything was so effortless and easy. Now I'm loving my two way remote which got me through some of these cold winter days. read more

Fast and easy install. Upfront about pricing. Use the remote start almost daily with the hot temps in the high 80's/90's. Highly recommend getting the one that includes the app, so easy to use anywhere. read more

JD installed a remote starter on my 1994 Oldsmobile and it is completely awesome. I was able to schedule my appointment online the very next day after making a deposit. The installation took less than an hour. He took the time to go over exactly how it works with me, especially some little things to make sure not to do. JD works right out of his home which was a unique and great experience compared to taking my car to a noisy crowded shop that can sometimes take hours to get something done. I had my roommate follow me out there in her own car, so we could go to a restaurant (there are tons nearby!) while waiting, but for those who don't have that option he actually offers to give people a ride to a local coffee shop. I will be recommending him every chance I get. Great experience. read more

Great Service for a great price. Read a lot of reviews, and these guys came to the top. Got the pricey unit with the 2 mile range, the real world range is obviously a lot less, so get the max. They hooked it up overnight on a complex Subaru electrical system without a hitch. Have had it for a year now, and no problems so far. Stop shopping and call them already! read more

JD has over 16 years experience and does quality work. He does this out of his home, so you save by not having to pay the retail front additional cost. I was running late to my appointment, but he was still able to squeeze me in and answered all of my questions once he was finished. His lovely wife was kind enough to take me to a local coffee shop to hang out while he worked, all told it took him only a hour and a half... and this was on a 2000 Subaru manual trans (extra work needed for manual transmission and paid for auto-on rear defrost). Very cost competitive, very happy with the value of the product and the service I received. Would recommend to any and everyone. read more

JD installed a remote starter on my 2003 Trailblazer and it is heaven on earth to have! JD was super quick and everything is way beyond my expectations. If you are thinking of a starter, you won't find a better man to do it than him! read more

You would be a fool to take your car anywhere else. JD's operation is a well-oiled machine. He's the one working on your car, and has done literally thousands of remote start installs, and has been working in car electronics for almost 20 years, so he's beyond experienced. He works fast - you schedule a time on his website, show up and the work is usually done within an hour or two (depending on the car). The price is more affordable than any alternatives, far better than Best Buy and any dealerships. The old adage is "fast, cheap or quality work - you only get to pick 2", but JD manages to do all three. read more

I have to be honest I was a bit concerned when I first pulled up to the location to purchase a remote start for my wife's Christmas present. I was hooked by the web page and expected to see this big commercial building with Remotely Started MN neon sign. Instead I was greater by JD at the door and Brooklyn inside to write up my order. Everything else from there was first class and beyond professional. Today as I pulled in the driveway for my 9:00am appointment the garage door opened to welcome me there before I had the chance to put the Honda into park. JD showed me to the waiting area, Brooklyn offered coffee even their dog made me feel welcome. Almost 35 minutes later JD had the remote starter installed and ready to give me the run down on how to use the system. It worked perfectly. This entire experience was amazing. The communication was amazing, emails to confirm the sale, email to establish an appointment, email appointment reminder, email thanking you for the business. Did I mention the price was also amazing! Need a remote starter? Buy it here! read more

I would definitely recommend JD's Remotely Started for anyone considering getting a remote starter for their car. The scheduling process was a piece of cake and I very much appreciated that it was all done through email and online. I even commended him on the smooth online process while I was in the shop getting my remote start installed. From the time I arrived to the time he was complete was about 50 minutes! The cost was also reasonable. When it was all said and done, the cost was over $100 less than what my regular dealership quoted me. JD and his wife are friendly and super accommodating. Now I'm actually looking forward to it finally getting cold so that I can start using the remote starter. read more

Initially took my remote starter install search to a local Big Box store and was surprised by the poor customer service. I found JD at Remotely Started to be the exact opposite, and I was happy to take my business to him. He got right to work when I arrived at his home and his sweet wife dropped me off at a coffee shop to wait. She returned in about an hour and the job was done! I was pleased with the great service and pricing. Well worth the investment. I normally don't leave reviews, good or bad, but JD went above and beyond when I noticed that my tail lamps weren't fully functioning. JD made an appointment with me on Thanksgiving Day morning so that I could safely travel to see family. Turned out to be a simple blown fuse and he had me on my way in 15 minutes! If you're going to have a starter installed, this is the place to do it. Don't waste your time and money at Best Buy or anywhere else. JD is the man! read more

Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews but felt this one was necessary. I found RSMN through a Google search. Visited their site, looked over some products, shot a few questions off to JD (which were immediately answered) and decided to lock in an appointment. I selected my appointment date, made a $50 down payment and was set to go. On the day of install, I locked the RSMN address into my phone and off I went. As I got closer, I noticed I was in residential neighborhood. I looked down at my phone which indicated I had passed the address. I thought this cant be. I spun the car around and went back this time focusing on the address vs. my phone. I found the address and turned in the driveway noticing a small sign which read Remotely Start MN. At this point I am thinking back up the car and drive away - this cant be legit. Well.....that did not happen. I parked the car and walked up to the front door. JD met me at the front door, welcomed me in and introduced me to Brooklyn. JD explained the process along with expected wait time - about an hour. I handed JD the keys and Brooklyn showed me to the waiting area. She could not have been kinder or more accommodating. About 25 to 30 minutes later, it was done - starter installed. I paid the balance and was off to the garage for my tutorial. JD walked me through everything in about 5 minutes or so. He explained things in a way even the the least of the techies could understand. Following the tutorial, I jumped in the car and off I went. The moral of this review - don't prejudge based on location. I recommend RSMN with a resounding 10. read more

Fast installation, and JD and Brooklyn were great! I'm super happy with the remote starter I purchased. Go before it gets colder!

Timeliness, quality and a good price. Most business's you chose 2 and sacrifice the 3rd. There we got all 3. Both my girlfriend and I had a remote start installed by JD and had a great experience. My girlfriend had an astrostart #AST5224 installed in her Saturn vue without a hitch. I wasn't sure if i wanted to have one installed in my gmc sierra. About 2 weeks later my truck was broken into in northern minneapolis and that was the deciding factor. I called JD up and said wanted the Autopage #RS915-LCD after doing a little research. The cool thing about this remote start/alarm combo is your remote will tell you if your vehicle is getting broken into, tells what temp the interior is and my favorite, baseball bat mode. You can actually set it to mute the alarm on the vehicle so in the event of a break in, the alarm only goes off on your key chain allowing you to surprise the thief. I so wish i had this a few weeks earlier. The install on both was great, about 2 hours on one and a hour and a half on the other. He walked us through the general functions afterwards and we were on our way. Lastly he was lower priced than anywhere else. Awesome!!! read more
