I recently had an OEM remote start and Drone Mobile installed in my Stinger and have zero complaints about my experience at Remotely Started MN. Scheduling my appointment was done easily through their website, I received prompt updates and notifications prior to my appointment and JD was able to get started on my car right away even though I arrived a bit early. Installations are done out of their household, so you're likely going to meet the whole family (and pup) while waiting for JD to do his thing, but everyone was very friendly and install only took about an hour. Everything was great! This is all JD does, and it shows. He was quick (less than an hour) and properly installed the remote starter. The cost was fantastic for any install, much less one done by someone with as much experience as him. Brooklynn welcomed me and made me a cup of coffee to enjoy in their comfortable waiting area. With just 1 review on yelp I was a bit skeptical. Then I went over to the website and saw the tons of happy customer reviews and I gave it a shot. I filled out the form, looked over my options and then asked a couple questions via email. I got a response right away and had all my questions answered. After making a $20 deposit I was able to easily schedule my appointment online. Fast forward a week or so... I just had a Compustar RF-2WG9-SP 2-way remote start installed on my 99 tacoma and couldn't be happier. I pulled into the garage and 45 minutes later and after a quick tutorial I was on my way. I had my remote starter installed on 12/11/2017 but wanted to wait a while before giving a review. First of all, my inquiry for a quote was replied the very next day, I picked a time that I wanted and the scheduling set up was extremely easy. Went to my appointment and was there for maybe 30-40 mins max and everything was good to go. JD gave me some instructions on my two way remote and off I went. JD installed a remote starter on my 1994 Oldsmobile and it is completely awesome. I was able to schedule my appointment online the very next day after making a deposit. The installation took less than an hour. He took the time to go over exactly how it works with me, especially some little things to make sure not to do. JD works right out of his home which was a unique and great experience compared to taking my car to a noisy crowded shop that can sometimes take hours to get something done. I had my roommate follow me out there in her own car, so we could go to a restaurant (there are tons nearby!) while waiting, but for those who don't have that option he actually offers to give people a ride to a local coffee shop. JD has over 16 years experience and does quality work. He does this out of his home, so you save by not having to pay the retail front additional cost. I was running late to my appointment, but he was still able to squeeze me in and answered all of my questions once he was finished. His lovely wife was kind enough to take me to a local coffee shop to hang out while he worked, all told it took him only a hour and a half... and this was on a 2000 Subaru manual trans (extra work needed for manual transmission and paid for auto-on rear defrost). I have to be honest I was a bit concerned when I first pulled up to the location to purchase a remote start for my wife's Christmas present. I was hooked by the web page and expected to see this big commercial building with Remotely Started MN neon sign. Instead I was greater by JD at the door and Brooklyn inside to write up my order. He's the one working on your car, and has done literally thousands of remote start installs, and has been working in car electronics for almost 20 years, so he's beyond experienced. Initially took my remote starter install search to a local Big Box store and was surprised by the poor customer service. I found JD at Remotely Started to be the exact opposite, and I was happy to take my business to him. He got right to work when I arrived at his home and his sweet wife dropped me off at a coffee shop to wait. She returned in about an hour and the job was done! Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews but felt this one was necessary. I found RSMN through a Google search. Visited their site, looked over some products, shot a few questions off to JD (which were immediately answered) and decided to lock in an appointment. I selected my appointment date, made a $50 down payment and was set to go. On the day of install, I locked the RSMN address into my phone and off I went. As I got closer, I noticed I was in residential neighborhood. I looked down at my phone which indicated I had passed the address. I thought this cant be. I spun the car around and went back this time focusing on the address vs. my phone. I found the address and turned in the driveway noticing a small sign which read Remotely Start MN. At this point I am thinking back up the car and drive away - this cant be legit. Well.....that did not happen. I parked the car and walked up to the front door. JD met me at the front door, welcomed me in and introduced me to Brooklyn. JD explained the process along with expected wait time - about an hour. I handed JD the keys and Brooklyn showed me to the waiting area. She could not have been kinder or more accommodating. About 25 to 30 minutes later, it was done - starter installed. I paid the balance and was off to the garage for my tutorial. JD walked me through everything in about 5 minutes or so. He explained things in a way even the the least of the techies could understand. Following the tutorial, I jumped in the car and off I went. Timeliness, quality and a good price. Most business's you chose 2 and sacrifice the 3rd. There we got all 3. Both my girlfriend and I had a remote start installed by JD and had a great experience. My girlfriend had an astrostart #AST5224 installed in her Saturn vue without a hitch. I wasn't sure if i wanted to have one installed in my gmc sierra. About 2 weeks later my truck was broken into in northern minneapolis and that was the deciding factor. I called JD up and said wanted the Autopage #RS915-LCD after doing a little research. The cool thing about this remote start/alarm combo is your remote will tell you if your vehicle is getting broken into, tells what temp the interior is and my favorite, baseball bat mode. You can actually set it to mute the alarm on the vehicle so in the event of a break in, the alarm only goes off on your key chain allowing you to surprise the thief. I so wish i had this a few weeks earlier. The install on both was great, about 2 hours on one and a hour and a half on the other. He walked us through the general functions afterwards and we were on our way. Lastly he was lower priced than anywhere else. Awesome!!! read more
