    Item summary

Four months ago, this company picked up my living spaces couch. I see online that they collected the item, but didn't do anything with it- no listed, sold, donated, etc.

1/2 of the Balsam Hill trees they picked up that retail for about 3k

Long story short, I had them pick up thousands of dollars in furniture and Christmas decorations (a 13 and 15 foot Balsam Hill Christmas trees less than 2 years old that sell on their website for almost 3k each). I told them I was going to donate them to a church but they told me they could sell them and get me really good money for them. After settling in to our new home, I remembered the pickup and messaged them about the items as I realized I never received the login to see what my items sold for. They had no recollection of any of my items. They told me that it was a junk pickup and there was nothing in my collection that would be sold. Thankfully, I took photos of everything they picked up. Once I presented those to them, they told me they would have a manager call me back. Like other one star reviews had stated, my items were mysteriously donated. Not a single item sold. I would have rather donated all of my items to Habitat Restore if this were the case. I asked them where the items were donated and they couldn't give me an answer. Just sent me some generic form saying I donated a coffee table. It didn't even have the 6k in trees that I donated on the list. This company is a bunch of crooks. They don't sell your items. And if they do, they keep the money and tell you they donated them. I would not recommend this company. I would rather pay a mover to pick up my items and take them to someone who actually needs them opposed to paying these people to steal your items and make money off of them.

    Loaded items in truck

Remoov was easy to use and they were great at sending confirmations. I had to add a couple items last minute and it was easy to make the adjustment on site, I just told the guys what was needed to be added and they did it with no problem. Mike and Chorizo were great at communicating ETA and finding the most efficient way to load my items I to the truck. They were respectful of my house and loaded everything professionally and quickly. They also cleaned up the extra wrapping plastic that was left on the floor and returned the trash cans back from where they moved them so they could clear the hallway to take out a big sofa. :) Remove doesn't take cash but I used my credit card, no problem. Waiting to hear back from Remoov to sell my stuff, I am optimistic and so far the service has been great!!!

    Guys loading my couch.

Micheal, Barrie and Chay was professional and efficient on preparing the items for transfer. They even ask if they should wear a mask noticing that I was wearing one. Thank you. I would use them again on my next remodeling.

Do you sell vintage and/or antique glassware, teacups and saucers, glass trays, collectible plates, etc? Also, framed art/prints?

First, I want to be clear--if this review were solely about Mr. Linden's crew, it would be 5 stars…read more His team is professional, helpful, and genuinely empathetic. They are a class act, and the overall concept of his business is excellent. Unfortunately, my experience with Kort Linden himself was very different. As the executor of my father's estate, selling his home was an emotional and time-consuming process. I spent nearly nine months going through belongings and preparing the house. Because I also have my own home and a full-time job, I hired Kort to handle both the listing and the remaining workload. I never met Kort in person--not once. While virtual signatures are standard, I expected at least one face-to-face meeting when handling something this significant. Communication was a consistent issue. There were multiple occasions where showings were not communicated to me. On three separate instances, my daughter and I unexpectedly encountered potential buyers inside the home. When I raised this concern, I was told it was "assumed" the house was vacant. While it was unoccupied, I was still actively working there. Additionally, I would sometimes arrive to find lights on, doors unlocked, and curtains open, indicating showings had occurred without notice. Once we entered escrow, communication and transparency did not improve. The home had been on the market for about five months, and we received a few low offers. Ultimately, we accepted an offer that involved significant buyer concessions. Initially, I agreed to approximately 4.5% in concessions plus a $1,335 home warranty. After the inspection, I was told the buyer requested about $21,000 in repairs, including the roof. Kort stated he had his own contractor provide an estimate of $12,000, but I was never given documentation for this estimate despite requesting it, or the contractor's information. I was also not informed when this contractor accessed the property, or when the inspectiontook place. Kort then advised that total repair-related concessions should be around $15,000. I made it very clear I did not want to increase concessions. However, I felt pressured to agree. The distinction I was given--that it "comes out of equity, not cash"--did not change the fact that it directly impacted my proceeds. This was still being debated at closing, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. Lastly, an estate sale was conducted by his team for the remaining items in the home. I was told it generated a little over $300, but I never received those proceeds or any clear accounting. Overall, while his team is outstanding, my experience with Kort Linden lacked communication, transparency, and professionalism. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending.

As I knew he would do eventually because he does it with almost every one-star review (there are so…read moremany of them!), Bo Patrick came along and whined that he had somehow been mistreated by clients deeply unhappy with his service. Our contract with Fidelity stated that the sale would include artwork. It did not specify oil paintings. We did ask Fidelity to auction artwork, and all the artwork we wanted to offer for sale was photographed weeks ahead of the auction by Fidelity's employees or agents. To be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. In his reply to my original review, Bo claims that "The day before the auction [my family] removed $20,000 in artwork and now you are upset because we charged you a commission to do that but that's exactly what the contract allows us to do." First of all, it's quite a shock to read that we owned artwork worth $20,000, because that's not what Bo told us at the time. He gave us a much more modest assessment of the paintings' value. Second, regardless of the worth of the paintings, that is not what happened. I don't know if Bo's memory is so poor that he cannot recall the events of his sale with us, if he is so lazy that he did not bother to check the facts, or if he is sufficiently deficient in honesty that he doesn't care about the facts. But his account is wrong. Bo knew that the oil paintings would not be for sale. We had a Zoom meeting with him and Kelsee more than three weeks before the auction in which he tried to persuade us to let Fidelity sell the oil paintings and our father's home; thank God we never seriously entertained the idea of letting him sell the house. But we told him immediately after the Zoom meeting that we had decided against selling the oil paintings. When Bo originally talked to us about the paintings, he wanted to have an online auction, so that people all over the world could bid on them. But that never happened, because we told them weeks ahead of time that the oil paintings would not be included. Again, to be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. You cannot believe anything Bo says. He whines that he "had buyers from all around Arizona and other states drive-in for those paintings.... When they arrived, they were very upset with us as an Auction firm.... You affected our reputation that day big time." But if Bo had people traveling from out of state to bid on items we told Bo were not for sale and did not let Fidelity photograph or advertise for the auction, well, that sounds very suspect to me. It is by no means our fault if Bo advertised for sale things he knew would NOT be for sale. We did not affect his reputation--HE did. If people were upset with him that day, it is entirely his fault. Bo won in our lawsuit against Fidelity not because the contract let him charge a commission (the judge agreed that it was a very badly written contract and did not redound to Bo's favor) but because, as I stated before, at the hearing, the judge allowed one and only one witness to speak: Bo's partner Kelsee Wirtjes. Please read my original review to see what happened next. In the time since I posted my original review, Fidelity has received two more five-star reviews, but three more one-star reviews. Their previously poor rating is even worse now--and it's entirely their own fault. The crucial point remains the one with which I concluded my original review: Why would you hire an estate sale company who is so disliked by most people who have hired it? Learn from our mistakes. Stay away from Bo Patrick. Don't believe his unctuous denials. However much he tries to shift the blame for his bad reviews to the people foolish enough to hire him, the fact nonetheless remains that most people who hire him to run an estate sale are extremely unhappy with his services.

Not only did they pack more than I could imagine, but they made sure that every piece was wrapped and placed in a proper way to protect against breakage. They were certainly "Busy Bees". Every box was labeled and easy to identify. We had plenty of precious items, antiques, and items that are not easily replaced. They were incredible with the smallest to the largest of items. The conversation developed because he saw we were packing to move, and he informed us of his bigger operation as an estate service. He was very kind, friendly, and honest about everything. A great conversationalist, we agreed to let him handle our estate for several reasons. The main ones being his service would handle the marketing, showings, and LEGALISMS of selling a property with minimal involvement from us. Secondly they would take care of the valuables with a dedicated sale, and see to it that everything else would go to the charity or donation business of our choice (we went with Goodwill). Finally, they would take care of the cleanup/clean-out of the entire property inside & out, prep it for the buyer, and make sure the closing went smoothly for us (a GIANT bonus considering our age & health issues). We were handed some hurdles in late 2023 during the sale period unfortunately. The HIGH interest rates and an uncertain world situation hit the housing sector HARD. That didn't deter Kort and his team whatsoever thankfully. With investors pulling out of the market en-masse, Kort was able to find several other buyers for us to pick from, with nearly no delay. There were factors on OUR end that made things even harder for him to line things up (age & condition of our property), but again they handled it all without so much as a peep of protest or reluctance. In the end he was able to find a cash buyer for us, organized & setup all the various inspections, and the final couple of weeks were a whirlwind of success! Im not sure if a 'typical' real estate agent would've been able to do what he & his team did honestly... and certainly wouldn't have been there to respond to EVERY SINGLE little question, text msg, call, etc. A great experience, an amazing guy & team, and we couldn't recommend higher.
