Our furnace went out, so we needed a place to stay for the night. My friends son's birthday party was at their pool a week or so prior, so I thought we should give them a try. The pool was a big hit with our daughter who is 4. Prior to going to the pool we wanted dinner. This was 6pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was closed. We were told that children could go in the bar prior to 9 p.m. We went into the bar and there was not an empty seat, and really while it looked nice enough, it was not the place to take a 4 year old. We went back to our room, and were able to order room service, but it was unimpressive to say the least, and I'm certain we paid room service prices versus self service prices. My family and additional family members (sometimes as many as 10 people) love to meet each Friday night for talk, smiles, and to share ideas on how the week went. We have visited the Remington Restaurant, at the Ramkota, on a somewhat regular basis for about 9 months. The Friday special meal is all-you-can-eat prime rib. I personally have had the prime rib and other menu items along with a nice glass of wine many times and have found, that in our most recent visits, we found the food preparation under par. Along with the prime rib being tough to eat, not cooked to each person's desire, and the service is slow, (we have used the same waitress for the entire time), we have anonymously agreed after this week, to start using a different restaurant. It's sad to me that the food and the service could be so lacking since the dining room is very nice, quiet and has a nice dinner mood. But with our total expenditure of, at times, 300-400 dollars, we feel we deserve better. :-) read more

Don't have your hopes up that much in this place. You get for what you pay but anything was fine with me. Some of the yelpers complain about the flavor. I have to agree with them. My steak didn't have any flavor on it so I had to add some flavor to it which is salt and pepper and you can't go wrong with salt and pepper on your steak. The steak presentation look really good but if you flip the steak, there was hardly grill marks on the other side which was pretty sad cause I was hoping that they will make grill marks on both side but only one side. The service was decent because I was in a tour group and a whole bunch of people didn't want to go out to eat so they stop by here to eat and there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant which I felt bad for her since it was pack with us. We had our Valentine's dinner here this year with some friends and we all enjoyed our meals. Their dinner special of bacon wrapped filet with a lobster tail, vegetables, salad bar and choice of dessert was very good. The only (and very slight) negative was the bacon around the steak was not done enough however the meat is all Certified Angus beef and extremely flavorful and properly seasoned and prepared. This place is never a mistake, always dependably good. Pricing is the same as Poor Boys however the experience rates head and shoulders above the other comparable places. Much better quality, quiet and private, you can have a conversation with your dining partners without having to strain to hear; No 'slop the hogs' bucket of salad. Linen tablecloths and napkins. Good quality flatware. This is just one of those places Casperites should seek out when they want an affordable, nice dinner featuring a great atmosphere and very good food. read more

Even though the food was good the service is awful. The excuse we got was that it was busy but we would often see our waitress just standing there by the bar looking at something like a deer in headlights. When we got our dinner no one gave us utensils and when we asked we were told to get them ourselves. No drinks were offered at all and the table even though it was whipped by the waitress after a good few minutes of us waiting the floor was left dirty with used napkins and sauce containers. I would agree with Carla E that the steak here is very good. I paid $20 for a 14 oz NY Strip, cooked perfectly and very good flavor and tender. If they upgraded the salad bar and steamed veggies it would really be an improvement but worth the price for just the steak. Staff was young but she got better during the meal. read more

My steak was bland, the black and white pasta was bland (after being touted as a bit spicy), and the blackened shrimp wasn't blackened. I sent my steak back twice before it came out NOT bloody. The food was...adequate. It was fine, but I can get 'fine' at Burger King. That being said, I don't have any complaints about the service. Our waitress was friendly and did a good job. read more

If I could give no stars, I would!! Service was terrible! Plus we called ahead for the buffet to find out the cost for kids. We were told $3.99, we double checked that price with our server who assured us it was that price. We got out bill and it was $6.99 for kids!!! We asked again and another server said we had been misinformed TWICE!!!! We never saw our server to pay and ended up having to get our change from a busser. Never again!! read more

Worst dining experience we have ever had. The restaurant was very empty. We had a nice waitress who took our order. The app of coconut shrimp was pretty good. Then the fun began. My wife is very lactose intolerant and asked to hold the cheese on her salad. It had cheese which she picked out and ate a little. My soup of beef barley was good. Then we waited and in about an hour the waitress came out and said she was sorry it was taking so long but they were out of baked potatoes. My wife said ok bring French fries. She had ordered the special BBQ ribs. When she finally got her order the ribs were uneatable. She could not pry off the meat. My order was country fried steak and smashed garlic potatoes covered with gravy. It was ok until I found a hair in the gravy. I did not eat any more. We were in the restaurant for about an hour and 15 minutes and never got a meal we could eat. read more

we are from California. for the quality of the steak and the price, it's a steal!!! the moment I cut into the steak I already know it's j great $18 steak for 12oz. chef salad is huge only $8. Ruben sandwich and French dip are delicious as well. service are friendly. happy customer and coming back for sure!! read more
