We attended the NL vs Sweden FIFA World Cup game here and had a great experience. All the people employed thru the stadium were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Since it was a hot and muggy day, free cold water and run thru water mist (provided by the fire dept) were offered. Outside of the stadium, there were multiple food trucks, activity areas, and clean mobile restrooms, not the gross porta potties. Went through security- women make sure to have a clear bag/purse and size as specified. Seating sections were clearly marked. We loved our seats and had no issues with views. Section 330. Restrooms were nearby and if there was a line, it moved fast. Great game! I also appreciated that it's a closed stadium. There were storms during the game and we were not affected. Although after the game, all were notified to shelter in place for a bit due to lightning. Easy peasy experience!

FIFA World Cup 2026! What a time to be alive to experience hosting teams from all over the world in the US after so many years. It being my first time going to NRG I want quite sure what to expect. I will say this though that NRG and Google/ Apple maps need to figure out why the orange parking lot is sending people to the wrong location. Outside of that everything else flowed so smoothly! From parking passes to checking in, everything was digital with plenty of kiosk all around. The lines flowed so smoothly you would've never thought that there were over 60k people in attendance. Also thank God the A/C was working because temps were at 100 degrees and I would've passed out for sure. There were plenty of food trucks outside of the stadium, but once inside you were kind of limited to your typical hotdogs, nachos, and the sort. I tried the hotdog which was just ok and the chicken fingers tasted more like fried pieces of batter than actual chicken smh. So likely didn't get much chicken to say the least. Now the fries were exceptional! Thankfully fifa also allowed guests to bring in one water bottle do that cane in clutch along with fill up stations all around the facilities. The game was the highlight of the experience! Watching Canada vs Morocco in action was amazing. The energy inside of NRG was unmatched. Everyone was just so respectful and nice. Even though two of the players did get into a lil argument at one point in the game. Overall, great seats for a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you NRG for being apart of the World Cup tour. Just work on those chicken fingers because that was unacceptable.

Very nice stadium! I visited for the World Cup Germany v Curaçao match. Houston had the mounted police, swat, and foot patrol out. Crowd was orderly. Over dropped us at Petco next to the stadium and it was only a 10 min walk. Entrance process needs work. Too forever to get thru the screening line then it was quick to tap the ticket. Searing signage isn't the best either. We followed an arrow that said we were headed to our seat and ended up walking around the whole thing. Best part of the stadium. . .Verizon WiFi Access and AC. I'm not sure how I felt cold inside the huge stadium when it was 1,000 degrees outside. Prices were as expected; 40 for a beer and seltzer. I'd watch a football game here too. We left using a rickshaw. Austin was great and took us back to the Blossom. I'd use that again instead of waiting for an Uber.

I've only been to this stadium once for Taylor Swifts Era's Tour in 2023 and now recently in 2025 for a football game but I liked it. It was weird having the roof closed for the concert. I didn't find the beers too expensive in the East Club where my seats were for Tay Tay, but in the main seating areas they have crappy beers for more. I dunno. I got large Voodoo Ranger IPA cups for around $10 which is great for a stadium but that was in the private East Club . Parking at the stadium is a bit much, but I parked in a private lot across the street for $15 which isn't bad. It was more for football and other events. The sound was great and despite being up a level on the side, I had excellent views of the stage and had so much fun. Only bad part of the experience was taking over 1 hour to get out of the parking lot (despite the exit being less than 50 feet from where I parked).

I honestly love the vibe of NRG whenever I've been for concerts or sports game, and this time was no different. Knowing the venue supports about 70k people and the entire venue was almost full is electrifying!! I will say, not a fan of the parking situation and the fact they were charging $125 or so for parking for the World Cup. Had to go to the metro station, park there for less, and take the metro to NRG. Also, wasn't a fan of the actual set up in that all the gates to enter are at different corners of the stadium so while gate B was front and center, the one we had to enter through - gate C - was all the way around the corner, so we (as did many other people) got caught in the rainstorm heading in. But, the people scanning you in are so amazing and efficient!

Inside, Portugal vs Uzbekistan, June 23, 2026.

I believe this is the farthest place I have been in the world so far. The World Cup Group K match was between Portugal and Uzbekistan. The result was 5 to 0. We arrived in Green Lot parking around 11:15AM, June 23, 2026, we left Dallas at 7AM. We didn't purchase anything in the stadium. There was AC inside to combact insense heat. Afterward, we headed for Jusgo supermarket.

My wife and I loved our experience at NRG Stadium. We went for World Cup over the weekend to watch Germany vs Curacao. Everything was amazing! The energy in the building was contagious. The game was top notch. The stadium is fantastic. The food was fantastic. Just an unbelievable experience from beginning to end!

49ers VS Texans! Bang Bang Niner gang!!!! I'm faithful to the Bay! NRG is a pretty nice stadium that is very big and spacious. I should have been reviewed NRG but here we go! My 49ers lost this game but it's all good, we had a lot of injuries and Texans were desperate for a win, but they do have a good defense! Overall, the stadium had some decent food to choose from and the seats I had were nice as well. You can get a good glimpse of the field no matter where you sit.

NRG Stadium provides a great experience when it comes to football games. The place is well kept and clean when you first enter. There is plenty of food options and the number of areas to purchase food or drinks is enough that you may only wait in line maybe 5 minutes till it is your turn. The only gripe I had was exiting the stadium as it took much longer especially for those using the escalator because hte ramps were packed solid and moving very slowly.

We really enjoy this stadium, plenty of concessions, seats are great. Loud as fuck in here. Parking was half a mile away, but not a bad walk. Plenty of things to see and definitely eat and drink. Restrooms super clean. Fun atmosphere, grandson loved it.

I mean it's well run event center. The rodeo is amazing. Everything runs like a well oiled machine. Super fun

Rodeo
Sherita S.

My friend group attended the Rodeo on a Friday. The security check was operated at the best capacity this year, which made entering the carnival easily accessible! When we got in, everyone went their way to get food! That's really what we went for, THE FOOD! We danced, we laughed and we danced again! The rides were lit and the people had on their outfits!! If you have never attended Houston Rodeo, you should experience it at least once! Cowboys and cowgirls doing country activities, the concerts, the rides. Don't miss out!

Erin D.

Came for the rodeo recently, but I've attended plenty of concerts and events at the NRG stadium! Very kind staff, ease of stadium navigation and the food options are great!

The center is modern, clean, organized and has all the amenities. I came prepared with a clear bag but entry was still a breeze. Security does a great job pointing people in the direction of their seats and ensuring that stairways and hallways remain clear. In terms of food and drink, I was really impressed with the number of options. They have two full service food counters on either side of the arena. While I personally did not get anything, I saw people passing by with nachos and popcorn. If you want something a little more substantial Antones Poboys and Chick-fil-a were both set up for grab and go. They also had lots of alcoholic beverage options from tall boy beers, liquor for cocktails and even a spiked fresh lemonade stand. The arena has a fan shop onsite, some historical displays and a kid coloring zone. The game itself was well played (they won!) and executed from the announcer to the lights and entertainment. Great experience overall.

I tend to forget about this venue as it is sandwiched between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. NRG Arena is definitely old school (it was built in 1974). It actually reminds me of Burger Center in Austin which was also built in the 70s (IYKYK). The capacity is 8K, but it seemed smaller to me. Because it's an older venue, it doesn't have features such as illuminated stairs (like Toyota Center). People were using their cell phone flash lights to go up and down the stairs in the dark. The concourse area is a bit on the small side. The bathrooms weren't great but they weren't a complete disaster. On my last visit, I attended the World AIDS Day concert with Janet Jackson (she was amazing!). The staff was helpful with finding our seats as well as the merch table. We had a row of just 3 chairs which meant we had the entire row to ourselves (my best friend is brilliant lol). The sound quality was better than I was expecting, though at one point the volume of Janet's vocals seemed off. I didn't buy any food or drinks, but I imagine it's overpriced like any other venue. Tip: Check their socials for info on parking, bag policy, etc. Parking for the show was $20 (though it varies by event) and they do take cash and credit. The parking lot is right next to the arena so you don't have to walk terribly far. NRG Arena is okay. It's definitely not my favorite venue in the city, but it's good enough.

Firstly, this was the same venue that hosted Houston's Phi Slama Jama teams that included Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Young, and Clyde Drexler. It hosted live acts such as Elton John, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, The Jackson 5, Madonna, Genesis, Prince, and Bob Dylan to name few. Yes, this place is a bit dated looking, but it most definitely looks nothing like a high school arena. Hofheinz Pavilion seats about 8,500 spectators, has multiple video screens, etc. The University of Houston has announced $40 million in upgrades, and already blows all other basketball arenas in the Houston area away minus the Toyota Center and Reliant Arena.
