Great venue for art. Came here for a fashion show as a guest! You can create this room to whatever you want as long as you have the flair like @lovelycompanyy and the crew! Great people! Also the back room has fridge, sink, couch, clean restroom. What you need for a great event. I didn't stay for the after party but the feedback was amazing. Security is present to keep events safe too!!!

I went to see Chayse Sampy's art. I was very impressed with the quality and content. An overall theme might be transformations.

I attended a Fever Candlelight Series event at this location and the setting was perfect since it was their string quartet Halloween concert for spooky season. The studios is a bit difficult to find, but shoutout to original reviewer Meera for the useful description that helped out greatly! I agree that the area is a bit odd, but that just adds to the charm of the intimate concert experience. Fortunately for us the concert was in October so the temperature wasn't a huge deal, but it definitely did get stuffy when the AC wasn't actively running. Staff at the event was friendly, exceedingly helpful, and attentive. They have strict COVID policies in place including all patrons must wear masks regardless of vaccination status, so I felt very safe making the decision to attend the event. It is also BYOB and BYOFood, so plan ahead if you want to do a little snacking while you enjoy the wonderful event. Pro: parking is free since it is just street parking along the fronts of the surrounding warehouses. I thought there was plenty, but I could see that if there were multiple events going on in the warehouses that day it could get tight.

This venue is very intimate. I had a really great time. The band for Cultered Refined was awesome. They have several different shows where they place the music of a particular artist or artists from a specific location.

I went to see mo money mo problem, bad boys tribute. It started slow, picked up in the middle, and ended well. I don't know why I had high hopes for this show, but I wasn't delighted. Based solely on the vibe, ill give this show a try again, but the expectations will be low.

The stage for the flamenco performance was set in the corner. The door visible in the back right leads to the restrooms.

I recently attended a Fever event hosted at the Sanman Studios and here are a few things of note that might be helpful for future visitors. 1. The venue is in a rather unassuming part of town. From the outside it looks like a bunch of warehouses and the gravel parking lot can be a little off-putting. If you plan to attend an event here, try to carpool because the parking is a little limited. Several potential spots are occupied by dumpsters from the neighboring spaces. 2. I was delighted to see this venue enforcing COVID protocols. Guests were asked to be masked at all times when not actively drinking and eating. Pens used to sign waivers were disinfected between guests, and hand sanitizer was readily available. Guests were seated in pods with their own parties and some distance was kept between pods. 3. There is no food/beverage service. Outside food is welcome and the event I attended was BYOB. The staff informed us that there were cups and plates available for use. There are no tables though, so if you're planning on eating, come prepared! 4. The space gets a little warm. The event was lit with flameless candles (not sure how much this contributes to the heat) but it didn't seem like the A/C was on at all. The event sponsors provided fans for guests but if you tend to get hot, maybe consider bringing a travel fan!

I attended the Fever Candlelight concert. It was held in an small space and looked to be about 130 to 150 people present. The concert was GREAT! It started on time and was exactly 65 minutes. I loved the intimate feel and the candles. I'm going to discuss some key things that you need to know if you're coming here. 1. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR MASK ON AT ALL TIMES! NO EXCEPTIONS! 2. You can bring your own food and drinks to enjoy during the show, but be warned that the event staff will come up to you and tell you that AFTER EVERY BITE AND SIP THAT YOU TAKE YOU WILL NEED TO PUT YOUR MASK BACK ON! So annoying. I watched them tell at least 40 people DURING THE SHOW to put their mask back on. 3. Parking / Environment. Now this isn't the best part of town. It's sketch. Sanman has converted an old and dilipdated warehouse into their studio. It's nice on the inside but the outside still looks like an old and dilipdated warehouse. You'll need to arrive early to get parking by the door, unless you want to park all the way at the end of the block. It's dark, there are no lights and no security.

Thumbs Up: The rooftop lawn and garden are beautiful and provide a relaxing place to enjoy the city skyline. Thumbs Up: Portions of the rooftop are dedicated to gardens that grow fresh produce, adding a unique touch to the space. Neutral: I wasn't able to determine where the harvested produce ultimately goes. I'm sure the information is available somewhere, but I don't recall seeing it during my visits. Thumbs Up: I can actually see my home from the rooftop. Thumbs Up: I've watched a few rooftop concerts from my balcony. Thumbs Up: As an added bonus, it's always entertaining to hear some of my neighbors complain about the "noise pollution" during HOA meetings. Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. Thumbs Down: Access to the rooftop is sometimes restricted during seasonal events and special art installations. I understand the need for ticketed events, but I wish general access to the public spaces could remain available whenever practical. Thumbs Down: I am able-bodied, but I couldn't help noticing that rooftop access appears difficult for visitors who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments. The elevators are not easy to locate, and several were out of service during my many visits. Improving accessibility would make this space more welcoming for everyone.

They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered). A visit to Post Houston isn't complete without making the trek up to Skylawn! The views alone are worth it!

Doesn't look like much when you drive past - okay, I'm using the canned Yelp message there - and,…read moreif you arrive at night, it's likely that you'll drive right past it. The Palladium is located on a one-way freeway frontage road, so you can't make a U-turn to get there if you pass it up. But it's not one to avoid. The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.
