My daughter's wedding was here at La Tranquila Ranch, Tomball, TX. Sat. April 15, 2017. It was a very bad experience for her big day. It started out with the room upstairs, where the AC was not working, so it was about 150 degrees. This is where the groom and all his party were supposed to get ready and hang out, instead, they got ready in the bathroom downstairs and hung out in the ballroom mingling with guests as they arrived. It was hot in the ballroom where everyone was to sit. The venue was hosting tasting for other potential wedding parties on our paid time in the middle of our rented venue. The wedding was full speed ahead, I mean there was no time to breathe. Everything was rushed. We were all announced, then bride/groom dance, immediately after, bride/dad dance, immediately after, groom/mom dance, immediately after, eat, immediately after, maid of honor/best man speech & toast, immediately after, cut the cake. It was super fast, it took only an hour to complete all this and hours left until we had to leave. In between all this craziness, all the restrooms stopped working, starting with the 3 in the ballroom that flooded, then the grooms restroom (that was downstairs) stopped pumping water. This left only the restroom in the bridal suite that all our guest had to go to. Completely unacceptable to have your entire guest list trampling through all your belongings so they can go to the restroom. Then that restroom stopped working. The maintenance man was walking in and out of the wedding all confused. He had no clue why all 5 restrooms stopped working at the same time. We were charged $189 for an officer that was not there. When I questioned the owner "Anna", her response to me was "the officer was in the parking lot". We never saw or knew he was there. Her excuse for the flooded restrooms, she blamed on the DJ moving the portable AC. Forget the fact that the restrooms were NOT clean, she said it was from Texas dirt. The other restroom fails were because of the pump not working then that was blamed on our guests. She said someone went outside and searched out the pump and unplugged it. Come on, really, who would do that? Over half of our guests left early because there was no restroom working. If that wasn't enough, there was a swimming pool in the back of the venue, by the entrance all our guest were coming in, that was full of green filthy water and algae. When I insisted on compensation, all she could give back out of over $5000 that was charged for this disaster was $429. I am letting anyone and everyone that is thinking of using this venue to think again. It will ruin your big day. read more

I read all the reviews on this place and did the research I could before booking their Villa for my wedding. Well the reviews I read must have been from a family member or employee because this place RUINED the most important day of my life. I hope my review will save someone from booking here and having that happen to them. What made me boom here was ultimately their massive oak tree in the back that was absolutely beautiful. But that in no way overshadows the mess that occurred on my wedding day. The grooms suite had no air conditioning on a day that it was in the 90's in Houston. Absolutely no way anyone could be up there without cooking in their tux. My poor husband in his tux was sweating to the point that his face was red and the whole grooms party had to come downstairs, forcing me to remain in the Bridal suite. Then the coordinator rushed us through everything--I paid for 5 hours and she crammed everything into less than 3. It was a small wedding but I felt that no one cared how important that day was to my husband and I. Then we are on the dance floor and the lights aren't even on! 2 of my bridesmaids had to figure out how to get it turned on! The the final straw was when not 1, not 2, but ALL the toilets stopped working. When my mom spoke with the owner she was told it was our fault because a guest turned off the water. seriously?! You ruined my entire day and want to blame it on a guest?! I'm in customer service and deal with people's homes daily and no one EVER is to blame for something of this magnitude. It simply comes down to crappy maintenance. Just look at the rest of the place--the carpet is in complete disrepair, the pool is green, and there was a piece of the flooring missing from the dance floor! I'm partially to blame for picking this place becauSe you get what you pay for. But when you're in the business of the most important day of someone's life and that memory you should take it more seriously. Not just say "the most I can do it a 5 or 10% refund". I'm appalled and will remember this day forever with a negative stigma attached. read more

La Tranquila Ranch is a lovely venue in Tomball, Texas - truly a hidden gem! We celebrated our daughter's Quinceañera at this beautiful venue and were extremely pleased with all the planning from start to finish. Debra Riley was so wonderful to work with. She was well organized and made certain everything went according to plan. The celebration was amazing and exceeded our expectations, we received numerous compliments about the venue and festivities from family and friends. It was such a pleasant experience working with Debra and Natalia, they were exactly what we were looking for when we started to plan our daughter's Quinceañera. Both were super patient with all our questions and concerns during the planning process and during the days just prior to the event. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better team of professionals to work with. Their amazing attention to detail helped make our daughter's day the most amazing day ever! They also have an excellent list of vendors to recommend from the caterer, cake, DJ, valet parking service and everything in between. We organized a big charity fundraising event for TCH and our first choice for the venue was La Tranquila Ranch. The team is superb, it was such a relieve to know you can count on Debra and Karem, every single request we asked, they graciously accommodated. They helped us all the way, from the organization of the event and even during it. They were very attentive to the guests and helped us managed the whole event, from seating the guests to make sure every single person got their meal on time. Everything went smoothly thanks to them. After the event finished, they even stayed with us and helped us get all our decorations to take back home. Besides the fact that the location and the venue itself are beautiful, their staff is outstanding. Karem and Deborah were extremely helpful. They paid attention to every single detail. We had my Daughter's quinceañara on May 29th! We couldn't ask for a better venue! We absolutely love it gorgeous location and amazing service! Deborah our event coordinator was very helpful getting everything we needed done for us!! We got many compliments from our guests they loved La Tranquila Ranch!
