She did not answer back emails in a timely manner, but was very quick to change things in the contract and try to add additional cost. The venue itself was nice but needed to fix some things that were broken. Like stuff that got pulled off the walls that left holes etc. It also needs to be updated for the price they charge. It would be nice to have friendlier management. The first manager we talked with was very informative and is very nice and is a major reason we chose that venue. Had we first talked to the current manager we would NOT have chosen this venue. The new manager made the experience very stressful taking the fun and excitement out causing problems. The original contract should have been honored.

After visiting different venues in Houston, we decided to book our wedding at 15 Acres because in comparison to other places we visited, this one caught our attention the most with 1) The most obvious - this is a gorgeous place! and 2) Their customer service and attention to detail is impeccable (this is a family owned business therefore we got to work directly with the owners.) The 15 Acres family worked with our complicated work schedule since day one and made sure that all of our questions were answered. We got married on July 27, 2018 and it was AMAZING!!! Stephanie was present and knew our itinerary that started from 10am until midnight. She was present any time we needed something and because of this, things ran smoothly. To be honest, neither of us thought she would help us that much the day of the wedding yet she did and we could tell that she was very happy to do so and excited to see every moment of our special day. After the wedding, she followed up with us and wished us a happy forever. I was a guest for a corporate event and there was 0 effort to be proactive regarding the bad…read moreweather. As a 100% outdoor activity event center located in a flood-prone area, you'd think they'd have a plan. I don't blame the weather on them, but I do expect that they figured out how to create the best experience in spite of it, hours and days before, rather than just shrug and go, 'oh well'. The weather forecast was VERY confident that heavy rain would be there 24+ hours before - all local channels, Space City Weather, Jeff Lindner - it was a SURE thing. For example, bring the food under the tent BEFORE the time we were supposed to be eating, instead of wasting 45 minutes trying to rig a 'path' so we don't get wet waiting in line, even though the biggest problem there was water pooling and mud. The restroom is about a football field away from the only covered area we could remain, so they should have rented a port-o-potty to be closer, or have those plastic sidings to their golf carts to assist people in the mud and rain. Props to the Sheriff's Deputy that seemed more customer service oriented than the staff - he was telling us what was going on and seemed like he wished he could do more. Meanwhile they said they had a lot of staff milling about because the outdoor activities were canceled - not sure why they weren't pushing all the standing water out of the tent, or passing out food, etc. The store bought cookies they brought out were an after-thought, because they canceled the pre-arranged Funnel Cakes but didn't tell anyone. There were so many things canceled or cut short that still could have been managed with some preparation - like more tent siding they could drop down to stop rain from coming under the smaller tent. The food was good, but there was so little of it! I don't think they served the amount that was paid for, we ran out of some things. I can tell they're used to handling young kids, because they were treating us grown adults like we only eat 2 small pieces of brisket, 3 sausage slices and 2 tablespoons of potato salad! I was excited about the petting zoo - I'm sure the animals were safe inside a barn away from the rain. Again, if they had their golf carts prepped for rain, they could have offered to drive us back and forth to see them. There's a lot of risk mitigation that needs to be learned for an event facility such as this - if your event is expecting rain, cancel or reschedule!

I let her know approximately how many people and expressed interest in using her catering services. My daughter chose steak and potatoes, and I wanted to add a large charcuterie board. I was told that someone would get back to me in a few days with a quote price. I never heard back, and it's May. My husband brought up a good point thinking that there were probably a lot of big company Christmas parties in December, so my little party was probably not a priority booking during thst busy time. I get it, if that's the case. It's just not good to tell someone you will get back to them in a couple of days, then don't. It's May 3rd. Luckily, I found another place I like even more in Waller County to have her party. I understand choosing priority bookings, but I don't understand not following up at all, even if it is to tell me that my date was no longer available.

She worked so hard for us! The grounds were beautiful, we got to spend the entire day getting ready there which most places won't allow you to do. Anything I needed was provided. The food was delicious, the DJ was a sweetheart, and their recommended photographer and videographer (Bella and By Your Side) were so great! The grounds were stunning for my photos. I am from Boston so planning a wedding was tough from across the country but the venue included a lot of things so it made it much easier for me. Everything leading up to our wedding was very easy and everyone was super helpful which made the…read morewedding planning process so much easier so for that I'm very thankful! However, our wedding day was disappointing. We pretty much had to do everything ourselves as far as decorating goes so it made the day quite stressful especially for my mom which makes me sad because I didn't get to enjoy any part of the getting ready process with her. We informed our coordinator that we had quite a bit of decorations and that we were worried about timing but we were assured that we would have a lot of help and would be able to knock it out quickly however that's not what happened. I was informed that for the majority of the morning our coordinator was on her laptop. She did help with the table centerpieces but not much more than that. If my mom didn't have my sister in law helping there's no way everything would've been set out in time being that we were still scrambling towards the very end and we worked extremely hard on the decorations for the wedding. We had also asked three separate times for the ceremony chairs to be wiped off because they were still wet and dirty from the day before and she assured my mom that they would be cleaned before the ceremony however we heard from several guests that they were still wet and that there were dirty wadded up tissues on some of the chairs. During the "rehearsal" people weren't told where to stand and during the ceremony our coordinator didn't even help with our flower girls or ring bearer so they had no idea what they were supposed to do. More importantly, our coordinator didn't even check to make sure the best man had the wedding rings. I double checked to make sure they were gone but they were still in the bag so they had to be rushed to the best man as they were already lined up. We had also specifically asked for no one to be allowed inside the reception hall before the wedding as we felt it took away from it but that didn't happen. My maid of honor went to talk to our coordinator about it but she didn't seem too concerned with it and still let people in. We had battery operated candles lining the aisle and we noticed last minute that they weren't on so my mom asked the coordinator if she could turn them all on (you just have to point the remote close to them). She did it but not without rolling her eyes. Following the second half of the day our new coordinator was MIA for most of the night, at least that's how it felt to us. We had no idea what was happening until our DJ was announcing it. Our photographer helped us do the cake cutting and when the reception was coming to an end, my father in law was asking us if he needed to pull our car around and when he was supposed to do it and we couldn't find the coordinator to even ask her so he left the reception to pull the truck around just in case which I'm glad he did because no one came to us to make sure it was there. I really don't want to come across as petty here and at the end of the day it's not what's important but we had been looking forward to our day for a long time and it felt hectic and stressful but it is what it is. I've never left a negative review before and I honestly wasn't going to but I emailed the owner of the venue after he reached out asking how they did telling him all this and more but I never heard back from him and it's been 3 months. The venue itself is beautiful but if you're looking for an easy, organized wedding day then I really wouldn't recommend it.

They have a gravel/grass parking lot with no lines so you just have to make up your spot. They have a cute barn reception area with huge windows. I did see someone fall walking in the grass. Like this lady ate it! They have cute swings to sit on and take awesome pictures on. The food was good. I am not sure it they make it there on site or it is catered. The dance floor isn't too big and not too small so it's a good size to make it look like people are always dancing. The restrooms are clean and they offer mints and tampons. I would attend any event at this place!
