Everything is already so well maintained and beautifully decorated, so as far as planning goes, Miller's Creek genuinely cut the workload in half. There are twinkle lights and lanterns everywhere, a fire pit, horseshoes, a brand new giant deck out back. Even before bringing your own decorations, the entire place is perfect, romantic, and comfortable as is. The walls are covered in super cute decor and there are spots and stations for anything you would need. The owners offered to provide many MANY items to help us save money, like floral arrangements, centerpieces, and decorations. Not to mention tables and chairs, tablecloths, a selection of decor, flowers, lighting. Debra was so kind and offered us everything she had on hand to make my wedding extra special. As an added bonus, the owners Debra & Wayne, are basically built-in attendants for anything and everything you might need. From day one, Debra walked my mom and I through EVERYTHING, most of it I had no idea how to even approach. Debra is SO quick and knowledgeable with weddings, and we were so lucky to have a total pro on our team. I didn't ask a single question that wasn't answered in a helpful way! She was also available promptly through text at all times which was a huge lifesaver. She provided us with recommendations for food, music, and decor. She told us what we needed to do and what kind of timeline to keep. I'm probably exaggerating a tiny bit but she's almost as good as hiring a wedding planner! Having my wedding 20 feet from their home made me a bit wary in the beginning but Debra trusted us and left us alone unless we asked for her. If you're looking to have a rager, this might not be the venue for you. But if you are respectful and ensure your guests are conscious of the fact that this venue is also the owners' home, please check it out. You won't regret it. If I had gone anywhere else, I don't think my big day would have been nearly as perfect. When it's time for our anniversary party or our next photoshoot, we will be heading back to Miller's Creek for another magical night.

Restroom was clean, stocked with various essentials (lint roller, tissues, lotion, other toiletries) and well maintained. Navigating to this venue can be a bit intimidating. Located off of a side road (no traffic signal) that intersects with Hwy. 105, you feel as if you're driving into the deep woods until you reach The Carriage House. It is a very unique setting, and when you leave, the road gets very dark! Parking is ample, but be aware that the parking lot itself is actually stones and rocks (a bit difficult to travel across if you're wearing high heels). She was very straight forward regarding what was or was not included in the rental fee (included: access to building all day, chairs, table, set up, and more). She was also able to recommend vendors that she had worked with in the past and had done a good job. All of the recommended vendors were Conroe based- and many knew each other and had worked together. The venue is large enough to fit 300 people, but we felt it was perfect for our 125 person wedding. While there was an option to do the ceremony on the deck, we chose not to since we were married in June. ' Ultimately, the reasons we chose Waterpoint were: 1. scenery- the building itself was very pretty, but more than that...the views over the water at sunset were spectacular- and made for great pictures. 2. Lynn and her flexibility. She allows you to use any vendor. It's a full weekend rental (no rush to geteverything out by a certain time the night of the wedding). 3. She had been wanting to celebrate here the past couple years, but the Texans were usually still playing, so she'd pick a brewery in Spring with TVs instead. The entrance is inconspicuous and is one way in/out. Parking is decent. You can take tours when in season. When we were there, there was a baby shower happening in the small barn-looking building and a cooking class on the covered patio. So, we sat outside in the cold with some sun shades covers. It was a huge, open area. The sun was out, so it wasn't too bad. They could use some outdoor warmers or a fire pit. You go inside and order wine and food. They had limited options and didn't have any non-alcoholic wines. They had water and soft drinks for NA drinkers. No charcuterie since they had so many different events happening. There were 2-3 people manning the bar, and they seemed a little unorganized or critical of each other's help. It was strange. I tried a few samples of their rosè, one Chardonnay and a sparkling before I settled on 2023 Laren's Wild Rosé with strawberry and rose petal undertones. I liked it because it was less dry than the other rosé. Other than the baby shower and cooking class, it wasn't very busy on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few parents letting their kids run around the area and on the stage. There was live music inside. Staff would come out to pick up wine glasses and serve the flatbread that some people in our party ordered. The pepperoni pizza looked good. I ate before I got there, so I didn't try. I particularly wouldn't return unless it was a family or friend celebration of some sort. While not a vineyard, there are other wine bars in the city that offer NA options, a larger wine selection and food.

Everything leading up to our wedding was very easy and everyone was super helpful which made the…read morewedding planning process so much easier so for that I'm very thankful! However, our wedding day was disappointing. We pretty much had to do everything ourselves as far as decorating goes so it made the day quite stressful especially for my mom which makes me sad because I didn't get to enjoy any part of the getting ready process with her. We informed our coordinator that we had quite a bit of decorations and that we were worried about timing but we were assured that we would have a lot of help and would be able to knock it out quickly however that's not what happened. I was informed that for the majority of the morning our coordinator was on her laptop. She did help with the table centerpieces but not much more than that. If my mom didn't have my sister in law helping there's no way everything would've been set out in time being that we were still scrambling towards the very end and we worked extremely hard on the decorations for the wedding. We had also asked three separate times for the ceremony chairs to be wiped off because they were still wet and dirty from the day before and she assured my mom that they would be cleaned before the ceremony however we heard from several guests that they were still wet and that there were dirty wadded up tissues on some of the chairs. During the "rehearsal" people weren't told where to stand and during the ceremony our coordinator didn't even help with our flower girls or ring bearer so they had no idea what they were supposed to do. More importantly, our coordinator didn't even check to make sure the best man had the wedding rings. I double checked to make sure they were gone but they were still in the bag so they had to be rushed to the best man as they were already lined up. We had also specifically asked for no one to be allowed inside the reception hall before the wedding as we felt it took away from it but that didn't happen. My maid of honor went to talk to our coordinator about it but she didn't seem too concerned with it and still let people in. We had battery operated candles lining the aisle and we noticed last minute that they weren't on so my mom asked the coordinator if she could turn them all on (you just have to point the remote close to them). She did it but not without rolling her eyes. Following the second half of the day our new coordinator was MIA for most of the night, at least that's how it felt to us. We had no idea what was happening until our DJ was announcing it. Our photographer helped us do the cake cutting and when the reception was coming to an end, my father in law was asking us if he needed to pull our car around and when he was supposed to do it and we couldn't find the coordinator to even ask her so he left the reception to pull the truck around just in case which I'm glad he did because no one came to us to make sure it was there. I really don't want to come across as petty here and at the end of the day it's not what's important but we had been looking forward to our day for a long time and it felt hectic and stressful but it is what it is. I've never left a negative review before and I honestly wasn't going to but I emailed the owner of the venue after he reached out asking how they did telling him all this and more but I never heard back from him and it's been 3 months. The venue itself is beautiful but if you're looking for an easy, organized wedding day then I really wouldn't recommend it.

They have a gravel/grass parking lot with no lines so you just have to make up your spot. They have a cute barn reception area with huge windows. I did see someone fall walking in the grass. Like this lady ate it! They have cute swings to sit on and take awesome pictures on. The food was good. I am not sure it they make it there on site or it is catered. The dance floor isn't too big and not too small so it's a good size to make it look like people are always dancing. The restrooms are clean and they offer mints and tampons. I would attend any event at this place!
