I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.

He gave recommendations based on other things he noticed and sent me an estimate for those services right away. Communicating via text was so helpful as I was coordinating the repairs while working, and he made everything so seamless! I will definitely be using Tapia Auto for all my needs going forward!

Took my '14 Coyote in for a dyno tune after I did intake, headers, exhaust, etc. Tiffany was super helpful and communicated very well through the whole process! They knocked it out quickly, did a full blown custom tune (not the copy/paste crap or email in tunes that other places use) and the car drives and feels amazing. Everyone there was super knowledgeable and friendly, and it was well worth the money. Will definitely be coming back here as I build up this car into a nice daily, while stacking cash for a REALLY fast car next year

About a year ago, I took my LS engine block to APA Total Car Care to get a quote for replacing the…read morecam bearings, and unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience. When I dropped the block off, I was asked to leave it by the shop door. It sat in that exact spot for over two weeks before I finally received a quote, which I felt was unreasonably high for the work. I understand that shops have minimum charges, but waiting more than two weeks for a quote on a cam bearing replacement--only to receive a price that high--was frustrating. When I picked the block up, it had developed some surface rust because it hadn't been moved the entire time it was there. That said, the staff was friendly and professional throughout the process. Because of that, I'd be willing to give them another chance if I needed different work in the future. However, my first experience ended up being a frustrating waste of time.

I think Bill is a very honest man and here is my story. One day I kept loosing my coolant, I kept…read morerefilling it then stopped in to see Bill. As it ended up it was a lot worse than I expected. Bill quoted me just off the wall around a $1000. So when I went to pick up my truck he said, he had some good news it was only $600. Who does that??? Bill did that!! Then I had my truck serviced and Tom, Bill's son found that there was a leak in my water pump so they said it should be fixed asap. We scheduled it for Monday morning. I added to that service for them to service my front and rear differential and change the tranny fluid and put in a window washer pump. So that was all done then I picked up my truck and drove away. Everything was fine for a couple of days. Then the transmission was jerking hard. I brought it back and Selenoid A was stuck and they cleaned it up and did three trial runs and all was good. No charge. Then a few days later same thing but now it was when I would put it in park and as soon as it passed reverse it made a couple of loud noises, and thank God I was only maybe 30 feet from my driveway and my engine light came on. Went back home, called a tow truck and back I went. I had purchased a small plastic box that plugs into where shops plug into the vehicles to read the computers. (FIXD is a small computer to plug into a vehicle when our engine lights come on and it tells us on our phones what the issue is.) Bill gave me the same answer as the Fixd device did. He said he could pull that selenoid out again and clean it but we both agreed it was just putting a band-aid on a gash so to speak. So he ordered a new part and now my truck will run like new again. Bill said they will put this new part in for no charge for the labor. My truck is a GMC 2005 2500 Diesel with an Alison transmission. It has 117,000 miles on and I have owned it since it was brand new. Bill's Auto Garage is the best shop around as far as I am concerned. Thank you Bill and Tom, I appreciate everything you do for me. Worst experience I've had with a shop in a long time…read more I went out of my way to be as transparent and easy to work with as possible. I sent them a detailed message explaining EXACTLY what I wanted done to my Mustang -- full exhaust setup, how I wanted it mounted, clamps, O2 bungs, everything. I literally did their job for them and made it easy. All I asked for was a rough price range before driving OVER AN HOUR to their shop. Not an exact quote. Just a simple "around this much depending on fabrication." Any decent shop can give a ballpark estimate. Instead, they ignored most of my message, barely communicated, wouldn't answer straight, and kept pushing me to drive all the way over there just for them to look at the car for 10 minutes. I called multiple times and it felt like they genuinely did not care about wasting my time. Then they acted like what I was asking was unreasonable and basically said no shop in Arizona would do what I wanted. Funny enough, less than 10 minutes later I found another shop that actually knows how to communicate, gave me a price, and scheduled me immediately. What made it even worse was seeing them joke on Instagram stories about "if you're not a good customer we don't want to work with you." Meanwhile I was being EXTREMELY clear, respectful, transparent, and serious about spending over $1,000 with them. So if THIS is how they treat someone trying their best to be a straightforward customer, imagine how they'll treat everyone else. Communication was trash, customer service was trash, and they lost themselves an easy customer because of their ego.

He is highly professional, knows exactly what he's doing, and quickly pinpointed the real issue with my exhaust system. I had failed the emissions test with a P0420 code, which usually means the catalytic converter needs replacing. I went to several VVRP-authorized auto shops for quotes, and all of them told me I'd need to leave my car for 2-3 days, with repair estimates ranging from $2,500-$4,500. The problem? My car is only worth about $2,000! Rosco turned out to be a lifesaver. Using his diagnostic tools, he determined it was only a sensor issue. The part cost just $100, and he replaced it in about 5 minutes. After driving 75 miles on the highway, my car passed the emissions test without any problem. It's rare these days to find an honest and ethical mechanic, but Rosco is exactly that. Go here first--you'll get a clear, honest diagnosis and save yourself from breaking your wallet. Moreover , I am still hunting him down to pay for his services with many calls and text messages. He ignored to get paid A truly nice mechanic
