Buying an old house meant lots of updates…read more New outlets, phone jacks, lighting, upgrading the box to handle larger capacity so that I could use the toaster and the coffee maker at the same time. Lots of work! The guys at David Electric came & did me up. The cost was well under the price I had expected to pay. The employees were prompt, neat, polite and cleaned up after themselves (yay!). In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! But the boys at David Electric replaced all the bad hooks once I got replacements. Next big job is to replace some seriously old wiring. Got a great price on the job. Now I'm just saving up my pennies so I can afford it. No doubt as to who I am gonna call when I'm ready though!

Today I went to Tri-City Sales in Ipswich, MA. To shop for new double ovens. It was a remarkably…read morepainless process! The woman we did business with is the sister of the owner (her name is Janet... ask for her!!) and she was very professional and competent. My parents had done business with her before and I was pleased to meet her. One of the big things that pleased me was that the disposable fee for my old oven is going to be less than $100 and the install is less than $300. I had gone to Doyon's in Gloucester earlier in the day and the quoted me $800 for the same service!! I will have my new ovens in less than two weeks. It will be great to have it done since I replaced my cooktop last year (took the gas out and put an induction top in).
