I needed a couple of keys copied, but the clinker was the skeleton key I needed for a building that is 110+ years old. Copying the keys was easy, but the skeleton key was more difficult. Instead of selling me a couple of keys which may or may not have worked back at home the locksmith suggested I pull the lock from the door and bring it in so they could find an exact duplicate to the key. He explained there were thousands of options for skeleton keys and wanted to be sure they had something that worked. I appreciate the honesty and suggestion as a previous purchase of a key from a larger hardware store establishment failed because the key failed to operate the lock. I have another lock that needs to be reassembled or replaced and will rely on their expertise for assistance. Even though the bus ride from my home in north Minneapolis to their south Minneapolis location is lengthy it was worth the trip.
