My son and my daughter wanted items and were told that the staff will hold on to it, these items were not locked up. My son bought an item and was told they will lower it to $10 but instead charged him $19. We have thrifted and antique shopped from Duluth all the way to Winona, we are local and decided to try this place for the first time and definitely the last. While you were busy following us thinking just because we are POC, we would steal, Dick and Jane over there were probably stealing. FYI, POC people like to thrift and antique shop too. I have never had this happen, this is the first time, which is just disgusting as we are locals. I'd much prefer the Antique 101 or Elk River Antique. Our POC money is just as good as a white persons. You don't have to follow us because of our skin color.

But it's packed with high quality, unique merchandise at very reasonable prices (see photos). Everything is clean, organized, and displayed nicely. Don't forget to checkout the 2nd floor balcony area. There are more goodies up there. I'd say that around 25% of the store is merchandise that wouldn't be considered an antique. I usually don't like this stuff but FBA does a good job. There are a few vendor areas with reproduction signs, bird houses, hand-made signs, and that sort of thing. But there's also a giant wall of high quality specialty cooking oils and vinegars in front - very cool. There's some amazing functional art on the front desk. There are instruments (and a pipe sculpture) converted into functional lamp art. I usually don't like this stuff. (I've seen other shops where someone shoves a light bulb on something old and tries to sell it.) But this artist, Charlie Fiss, is crazy talented -- amazing stuff! In particular, there was an awesome violin lamp with color changing LEDs (with a remote), a USB charger in the base, and a blue tooth speaker hidden in the violin so you can play music. The pipe sculpture lamp was pretty darn cool too. It had all kinds of doo-dads, knobs, switches, an old fuse, a digital readout, and an analog clock. Charlie - you rock! As a final note, the owner is really nice. My wife and I really enjoyed talking to her. Ironically, this building was built by her grandparents, and she has their photo proudly hanging by the front entry door. Unfortunately, it sounds like the city wants to buy this building so they can demolish everything and "develop" the land. Really? Do they need some junky condos or a crappy strip mall near the river? There's ample other store offerings including Kate Spade, Zumiez, Torrid, Ralph Lauren, Carters, and more! ++ The layout is pretty typical; a strip mall, with each store's entrance going directly to the outside. ++ There is a Five Guys and Starbucks to satisfy any pre- or post-shopping hunger. ++ Albertville Premium Outlets def offers more than enough parking to handle any size crowd. -- Like most outlet malls I've been to in the past few years, there are quite a few vacancies. I simply just wanted to reverse a transaction for a couple of items that were sold to him with every intention of paying him what he had invested, and when this choice was presented to this individual during the "holiday" time of year he couldnt get to the cash register fast enough!! A choice that not only cost him money, reputation it also cost him future opportunities to buy inventory for his store. All for a chance to put a measly $7 in his pocket rather than comprehend that choice just terminated a relationship with 3 other individuals that regularly bring him fresh & effortless inventory that sells itself to his customers. I wish there was a way to measure the cost of future transaction losses versus the gain of one $7 profit transaction that I could mail him daily until you finally comprehended "basic business 101" protocols!
