I was up at a friend's cabin nearby and when the weather changed to rain, we stopped into Buffalo for some antique shopping. Buffalo Nickel was our first stop and no other store compared. Buffalo Nickel goes on and on and on. There are 2 levels and it can take some time to sort through all the goodies. There are adorable whimsy baby items, seasonal sections such as fall and Halloween, shoes, coffee cups, wall decor and more. You name it and they probably have it. Make sure to factor in extra time as to thoroughly go through each vendor, do expect to comb through items. I also appreciated the little coffee stand near the cashier with various baked goods. The prices were fair. I can't wait to return!! Open daily 10 am until 6 pm. I don't think the building has air conditioning so it was a little toasty. Some of the upstairs windows were open for ventilation.

And they're packed with an incredible variety of quality merchandise. They have something for everyone. The prices are also very reasonable. I'd go so far as saying that Annie's Attic is one of the best antique malls within an hour drive outside the Twin Cities metro area. BTW, we stopped at the other places in Buffalo and they all paled in comparison to Annie's. (Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time to Walden Woods which looks like it might be pretty great.) The customer service was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. They made it easy to customize the pieces exactly the way I wanted and were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. The all-wood dining table and chairs are beautiful, and the craftsmanship is truly impressive. One of the chairs arrived with a small crack, but I was very impressed by how quickly and smoothly they resolved the issue. They are making a replacement chair, arranging delivery, and will take the damaged chair back at the same time. No hassle, no runaround--just excellent customer service.
