After my neighbor had his front door kicked in mid day, I decided to look into security systems. After doing some research it came down to two companies; Reliable Home Security and Vivint. I called RHS first and spoke to Matt. Awesome guy, took the time over a few late nights to answer all my question and concerns. Walked me through pricing, instillation and overall product expectations. I then called Vivint because my neighbor chose them. When I called I spoke to a young individual who in my opinion was going off a script and didn't know the product. I also felt at the end that he was using a pressure tactic to close the sale (I know I work in sales). Kept saying only today instillation free. The next day I get 6 texts and 4 phone calls from Vivint saying "TODAY ONLY! FREE INSTALL!". At the end of the day I chose Reliable Home Security because they were local, good reputation and Matt took the time to understand me. Vince is the instillation guy who showed up and he was amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable and took the time to explain EVERYTHING before he left. Glad we chose this company and I would do it again. A+ read more

Matt showed up at our new townhouse last week in Sloans Lake and got right to work efficiently wiring and installing and configuring our new security sysrem- he finished quickly and then patiently and expertly explained how it worked to both of us and answered all our many operational questions. It is very apparent he takes pride in his work and is very knowledgeable and customer-focused. He has already made several follow-up visits since last week to assist in configuring additional services (wi-fi Internet,, enhanced security, etc.) - we are very pleased with the end result and really appreciate this service now that we have it and had a technician like Matt to showcase it for us. Also a big shout out to Jim Brennan who came out and and configured our audio/video system for our (4!) TVs - he installed hardware and mounting apparatus equipment and hung each of them Perfectly on our walls, completing the job in a couple hours. We definitely would recommend this one-stop shop LOCAL company for all your security and audio-visual needs. Sincerely, Mike read more

I needed a new alarm company and monitoring service since my previous provider is retiring. I contacted five alarm companies and met or spoke with them about their services. I chose to go with Reliable Home Security because they are local and Matt provided me with the best customer service of the five regarding explaining his services and pricing in a very patient and professional manner. Our install tech, Kai, arrived on time to do the install. He examined my existing system, made some good recommendations to upgrade the system, installed the system, and was very patient in giving me and my wife a tutorial about how to use it. No time in my interactions with Matt or Kai did I feel pressured to purchase items that I did not need. I am also grateful that I did not need to agree to a multiyear contract compared to the other companies that I spoke or met with. In addition, the monitoring fees were less than the other companies. I highly recommend Reliable Home Security without any reservation. Neil N. read more

After researching 8 security firms, I narrowed my interest to 3. Then after contacting those 3, I chose Reliable Security to send someone out to assess my situation. On the phone, Matt was quite thorough when answering my questions and did not rush through them as we discussed each one. When the technician came to the house, we went through the entire home while the technician asked questions as to my concerns and what i thought our security needs were. He was pleasant, not in a rush and was ready to install having all equipment in the truck. The system is easy to use and I appreciated the follow-up as Matt checked to make sure everything was working correctly. So far, all is working as expected. We've had one false alarm since installation and Moni was right on it, confirming our safety while exhibiting patience and courtesy through the entire call. Overall, the product and service has been great, and for a reasonable monthly service fee. I give Reliable 5 stars. Randy V of Denver read more

I am extremely pleased with my decision to choose this security company. Shortly after I requested a quote online, Matt contacted me within minutes. He was incredibly thorough, addressed all of my inquiries, and was not at all pushy. Collin arrived at my residence to set up the system in just a few business days, and he was equally fantastic. Matt had provided me with an estimated arrival time, and he called beforehand to inform me of his expected arrival, and later on to provide an update. He ensured that I comprehended how everything operated, and I felt that he tailored my system to suit my home and requirements perfectly. Additionally, he was very friendly towards my overly affectionate Golden Retriever. I found Reliable to be transparent about their fees, with no significant surprises, unlike my previous experiences with other security companies. Moreover, the technology they utilize appears to be top-of-the-line, from the user-friendly control panel to the mobile app. read more

I have been very happy working with Reliable Home Security. Their staff is wonderful and always helpful and very responsive. No hidden fees or high pressure sales here! Just really good information to help you make an informed decision. The system itself is awesome and so easy to work and understand. I love that it can be managed through my iphone and my sons iphone and the push notices are a great extra feature. Reliable is very affordable compared to other home security companies and I am very impressed with the systems they use and the functionality of the systems for the price compared to what other companies offer. I highly, highly recommend using this company because they offer a great value, great technology and excellent customer service and they truly DO care about your satisfaction. read more

After having a Honeywell system at my home for over 30 years, it needed to be replaced after we had new windows installed. It took me quite a while to be convinced to go with the 2Gig system that Reliable Home Security installs but after my daughter tried it out at her home and really liked the features and the professional manner in which she was treated by Jake, so we decided to go with them as well. So far we could not be more pleased. The installer showed up on time, did a very good job explaining things and was very neat. We had one contact that was defective a week after the installation and they were very responsive and came out that day to replace it. I would highly recommend Jake and his team at Reliable to anyone looking for an alarm system. They have been great to work with. read more

Many thanks to Matt and to Colin. They explained all my options, explained how the system works, answered all my questions with great patience and installed the system within days of my initial call. I have never had a security sysytem before and I was nervous; I did set off the alarm myself the very first day, the response was immediate, professional and very understanding. I am now comfortable with the key fobs, the phone app and the in-home panel. Thank you for the protection of my home and for the added sense of security that I now have whether "home" or "away". Would not hesitate to recommend Reliable Home Security to friends/neighbors. read more

Reliable Home Security is a breath of fresh air for anyone wanting a great local company for security and home automation. We were unfortunate enough to find Vivint before finding Reliable. It was a nightmare with Vivint and we ended up canceling and having them remove the security system. Then we found Reliable and it has been the best experience I've ever had. They are personable, professional, and do NOT use scare tactics or high pressure sales tactics. They have delivered on every promise and were up front with us on what we needed. We can not recommend them enough, really, SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE HEADACHE and choose Reliable first! read more

Everyone at RHS did a great job. Jake was dry helpful in all aspects of the sales process and Troy was prompt, courteous, patient in explaining the system, and tidy. Mark was my initial contact and I had a very comfortable feeling from the "get go". Jake even returned my call on the weekend and walked me through a small set up issue. I could use 1 more house sign (Jake said he'd mail to me along with business cards). The only suggestion I'd make is that your window stickers need to be "inside the glass" and not on the outside. We are very happy with the service AND the technology. Great job Reliable Home Security! read more

I genuinely cannot say enough positive things about my experience with this company. As a first-time home owner, security was a very important part of feeling settled in my new home. I almost made the mistake of going with a self-install system, but received a call from Jake (who btw was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the process). Jake walked me through the ordering process, installed the system and showed my how to use the system and all of its features. If you are looking for a home security system, I would recommend Reliable Home Security time and time again. read more

Jake and the rest of the crew at Reliable Home Security are great. They provide local convenience with the newest state of the art technology for our home security. They have great communication and have consistently addressed my needs and questions within a short amount of time. The home security systems they use are awesome. We are able to arm/disarm via mobile device, and we also bought a thermostat that syncs with the system so we can adjust our heat via mobile device as well. Overall a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone looking for home security. read more

I could not be any happier with my experience with Reliable Home Security. Matt, who helped me decide what type of system to install, was so patient, knowledgable, and friendly. He patiently answered my many phone calls and questions and helped me find the best deal I could get. Colin who installed the system was professional, thorough, and helped us get up to speed on the system quickly. The system itself is fantastic as well! These guys offered the best price I could find, and had much better customer service than anywhere else. So glad I went with them! read more

We got our Reliable Home Security recently and we couldn't be happier. Jake Schucker was excellent at spending as much time as we needed to understand the system and the costs in advance. He came to our house and we discussed what we wanted and his recommendations of how he could provide that for us. So far everything is great. I'm looking forward in the future to adding on to the system with the optional home automation products that our system will operate as well. Thanks Jake and Reliable Home Security! read more

Monitronics was about 4th on our initial list for home security inquiries and quotes. After it was done however, Jake and everyone involved at Reliable were far superior with EVERY aspect involved. Experienced, honest these guys offer the best in the business and are quite more affordable than any competition we spoke with. The agent Jason that came out for install took us through the entire process, the equipment is intuitive and customer service in general was quite pleasant! Highly recommended!!! read more

It has been a great pleasure to have this team make my home smarter including installation of Security and Monitoring systems, and the multimedia entertainment hook ups. Jake, Thanks for everything! Just wanted to send a note about Roger. He is a great representative for your company. He was patient with us explaining the system and how its supposed to work. He cleaned up after himself, with Annie being a professional housekeeper, that really impressed her.
