Wednesday evening, I wanted a massage and found this gem. Walk in - no problem. Very clean and very quiet. The bed was comfortable, and I had no issues. Kevin took care of me, and I had a 90 min aroma therapy and got a hot stone massage. I am not going to lie; the pressure was intense in a way that felt good, like a release. Please note that it's been over a year since I've had a massage. I embraced every moment, and if there was an area where I needed less pressure, I let him know. I appreciate the stretches and full bodywork I received like no other experience. Was I sore the next day? Very. As I said, it's been over a year so I'm sure I needed it. Stretching and lots of water worked. I was fine by the next evening. I received a 10% discount which was very kind of them. I definitely will be returning and trying different types of massages. I also live a mile from here, so I'm glad I found this place. Enjoy! read more

Yaya's technique was very soothing. During the massage, Yaya paid attention to my directions. Excellent office, clean and friendly.

Took the hubby here for a Father's Day massage bc we had to cancel our Kearney Mesa appointment bc there was so much traffic and we didn't make it down that far. The massage was good. I love the hard pressure. I think this spot has real masseuse people who actually went to school for massage therapy bc they have like specific techniques to suggest that. However, they didn't have hot rocks. They didn't have the bar thing where they step on your back or crawl all over you. They didn't do the crazy thai stretches at the end that we're used to. They didn't do my heels. The girls are very nice though... the hot towels on the back of my neck was lovely. This place would be ideal for people who've had a long week. My traps and lower back feel a lot better, that's for sure!! Thank you!! read more

Another great massage! This time I tried the hot stone and it was wonderful. Staff is very nice too.

I have visited the Vista location and the gals working have mentioned their other location in San Marcos and that we should give it a try. I had that chance today with my sister. I knew one of the masseuse there and requested that she would be the one to tend to my sister and I would take any of the other masseuse available. My sister and I were very pleased with our 1 1/2 hour combination massage. They worked diligently to have Susi which I requested for my sister, work into the schedule. I had Patsy and for a short period, Vanessa. Patsy (very knowledgeable) placed her fingers on my right shoulder and immediately felt there was a problem spot. I had not yet told her at this point where my issues were, but yet she was able to find all of them. She used good, strong techniques, but yet, still gentle, that I had not yet experienced and was working out the tight and knotted areas. Vanessa had to replace Patsy, but they made sure before the massage to check with me if that was OK, and I said it was. Vanessa is a petite female, but with strong hands. All the ladies were very friendly and very accommodating. This location has a shower area, which I did take advantage of. This place is nicely decorated, very spacious and very clean. I was concerned that being in a busy strip mall and off the main street that the noise may be a concern, but it was not. I always bring my earplugs just in case I can't tolerated noisy incoming customers or street noise. I would definitely return for more great massages. Thank you Relax Zone for a great massage at your San Marcos location! read more

Always great message experience here. It is easy to book with them and even frequently getting same day appointments. The messages are very professional and the place has great ambiance. It is always very clean and quiet. I still go to this store even after moving to a further away location. Highly recommend. read more

Very happy with VIP massage. It's therapeutic and the hot stone is best. Will definitely go back.

Hands down amazing! Definitely one of the best massage places in north county. I've never once had a bad massage here.

I was a first time client here and I was Extremely impressed with the quality of my massage. I have Fibromyalgia, and in the past, my massages would hurt so much that I wouldn't go back. Not here! Paula was gentle yet firm and knew what to do regarding all my tender points. Give Relax Zone a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Husband and I went for a couples massage, I asked for a Swedish massage and husband asked for deep tissue. I'm pretty sure I got deep tissue and they mixed our massages up. I wish they would have clarified when walking in on who wanted what massage. I am now in so much pain in my neck and spine area. I'm giving 3 stars because they were kind and the space was clean. Definitely need better communication read more

Loved it! First time and a great experience. I would definitely recommend the Thai combo. Very clean, friendly, and professional. I did not have an appointment, but they were able to get us in. read more

The people here are very friendly and if you like Thai massage you should come here. A massage plus a good stretch is where it's at! My husband & I got a couples Thai massage and he said he would go back to this place, too. They called to move my appointment and that was fine with me but then I was running late, traffics was terrible AND they weren't whee I thought they wee (thank goodness for GPS). I called them a couple times en route and they were very understanding and didn't cancel me or give me a hard time about it. read more

The massage was great. I decided a need a deep tissue massage that really focused on my tight muscles and it was great. Walking out of the appointment I had immediate relief in my neck and shoulders. I will definitely be setting up regular appointments! read more

Great service. I will be going back. Karina made me feel aches and pains I never knew I had and worked them out.

First time in the SM location, I had gotten an hour long deep tissue massage and it was wonderful. I'm usually very tense in my neck and shoulders but I walked away feeling like jelly. read more

This review is actually for two things- my first visit there I got a regular full body massage, and it was very good. I had asked for deep tissue, and it was more of a Swedish with firmer pressure, but not bad. The second time I went was for a foot massage WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I did not want to give this business a 1 star review, because the full body massage was good, but the foot massage was terrible. I have had hundreds of foot massages over the years, but none like this. Normally, they put you in a chair or low table and soak your feet. Then they spend the majority of the time on the feet doing massage and reflexology. The remainder of the time most places do some massage on legs, arms, neck and some have you roll over and work a little on your back. The foot massage I received here was strange and unpleasant. I was taken into a regular massage room with a high table and was on my back the entire time. No foot soak. The therapist began rubbing my left shin, up and down for a long time. She spent very little time on my foot- which I found odd because the focus is supposed to be on the feet. She put a little pressure on a few points on my foot, but that was it- no actual foot massage. Again the majority of the massage was on my shin. She spent about 15-20 minutes doing this then moved on to the right leg where she did exactly the same thing. It was a shin massage, not a foot massage. It actually started to be irritating having one part of my body massaged for that long. When she finished that part I was relieved and was looking forward to another part of my body being massaged- or maybe even my feet specifically. But no, she actually went back to the left leg and started rubbing my shin again! At that point I sat up and asked her if that was all she was going to do for an hour. She said that's all they do for foot massage, but that she'd spend the last 10 minutes on my neck which she did. Worst foot massage ever, especially considering she spent a total of maybe 5 minutes on each foot. They contacted me afterward and asked me to review them. I told them of my experience and they offered to give me extra time on my next massage, but I declined. It would be too awkward to return to this place. Again, the full body massage was good and I'd recommend that, which is why I gave them 4 stars. I didn't want to hurt the business with 1 star, but wanted to share my experience. Anyone who has received what I think is a typical foot massage with reflexology is not going to enjoy this. JMO. read more

Had a great relaxing deep tissue massage. She focused exactly on the areas that needed it most. Will definitely go back!

This was my second time getting a massage here and it was fantastic both times!! Ellie was my massage therapist the first time. She is super knowledgeable about sports and deep tissue massage and working areas running takes a toll on. My second time was just yesterday with Thanya. Also amazing!! I had the Thai combo. Seriously one of the best massages I have ever had and I have had my fair share. The atmosphere is peaceful. No pressure. read more

I was visiting my sister and while she was at work, she made me a massage appointment near her house. Conveniently, she was able to book the appointment and pay (and include tip) all online. She booked a 90 minute Swedish/deep tissue massage. Since she did it all online, I didn't have to worry about a thing, which was much appreciated. My appointment was with Nan, who was ready to greet me as soon as I walked through the door. Since it was my first time, I filled out a new client form and was shown my room. Nan also showed me where the bathrooms were, which I really appreciated because forgetting to pee makes for a reaaaaallly long 90 minutes. Once I was settled on the table- Nan got to work! She applied the perfect amount of pressure and focused on areas that needed the most work. She worked quickly but effectively and she made sure I was comfortable. If you like a deep massage with lots of pressure- this is a perfect place for you. Overall- I really enjoyed this massage. It was a good value for the quality massage I received. I wish I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular. read more

Great massage! After few months of massage places being closed this was much needed. I definitely feel little sore right now- good sore of course. I like my deep tissue massage really DEEP and I usually request a male masseuse since I assume that they're stronger However! I had female and she did phenomenal job! I'll definitely visit again read more

I am new to the San Diego County area, and was looking for a massage to help with a muscle that I pulled in my back. Relax Zone had good reviews and an easy to use website , so I gave them a try. My therapist Marie was fantastic. I had a Swedish massage for an hour, followed by some intense, Thai based work on my lower back and hip area. It was wonderful! Marie's knowledge of anatomy (she is NCBTMB Certified) and her ability to go to my comfort limit without exceeding it, gave me great relief and really enhanced my mobility! The spa itself is very clean and professional, and they offer a discount if you book online (tho my feeling is that the rates are so reasonable, I won't use that discount!) I definitely will be returning! read more

I am just here for a visit and ended up sleeping wrong and decided to find a Thai massage place that I thought could stretch me out. The first place I tried didn't work out, and it was the best thing that could have happened to me. When I contacted Relax Zone they texted me back within 10 minutes and asked questions about not only the services I wanted but also why I wanted them. Had they not asked, I would have gotten the Thai massage which was a bad idea and would have caused more aggravation. I continued to ask several questions and was downright indecisive, but they were very knowledgeable and not once did they get aggravated with me and were instead very patient and helpful. I decided to get the 2-hour hot stone massage and added a 30-minute reflexology session. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. I have gotten plenty of massages before, but my session with Linda was absolutely life-changing. I have been raving about her to everyone since I left, unfortunately, only one of them even live close enough to try it out. So I decided to help fellow Yelpers :) Linda was very professional, her techniques were perfect, the right pressure, and the right amount of attention to each area. I literally felt like I was in there 4 hours and it felt great. If I could go get another massage before leaving I would. If I could fly her home to my mom and my grandma and everyone I know, I would. When I'm back in the area, I will definitely be back and I can't wait. read more

First time here and definitely coming back. The massage was amazing; Kevin and Karina were great.

Wow, I had the BEST massage yesterday, but then Susi always give the same best ones! So I said the same thing each time. I try to go every 6 weeks, after each session I feel like a new person. Thanks Susi!! read more

Since my original review I have gone back for one 60 minute massage and two 90 minute massages, all with Karina. She has become more and more familiar with my needs in upper body massages, even when they change from the times before. She senses what additional techniques will work, but more importantly, Karina really cares about how her touch is received. One can really feel the giving energy from her; it is not just an impersonal mechanical routine. She has the real gift for this and I feel very fortunate to have found her! read more

Was very pleased with the overall experience with this business. From the online booking, to the friendliness/professionalism of the people and especially the quality and authenticity of the thai massage. I booked an 1.5 hour massage with Kay. Kay was friendly, professional and well trained in thai massage, which I have learned to appreciate from my extensive travels in Thailand. She said she ran (or possibly owned?) a spa back in Thailand prior to coming to the U.S. and has been doing massage for many years. I'm glad I finally found a place that has authentic thai massage here in North County. Highly recommend. read more

Ellie did a great job. She tailored it to my requests, and did deep tissue that really helped the pain in my upper back.

This place earned all five stars!! I came here with my mom, we each had a 50$ SpaFinder gift card. As soon as we walked in the door our masseuse's greeted us- they are very friendly and welcoming. Our massage was excellent! The ambiance is very relaxing, clean and welcoming. The price is 55$ each for a 1 hour Swedish massage but when you go in a pair it takes 5$ off- coming out to 50$ each. Overall, great customer service, the place was very clean and nicely decorated and the pricing is very reasonable. 10/10 recommend I had Yuki and my mom had Nen, both did a very good job! We will be back! read more

Yelp cliff notes: My professional opinion on relax zone thai? This place is the bomb.com! Yelp unabridged version: In all seriousness, this was the best thai massage I've ever had. I stumbled across this hidden gem thru yelp and decided to take my mom and myself here for some good ol' pampering. Little did I know, I'd be subjected to a euphoric 90 minutes of deep stretches and massage. The spa is located inside a small and unassuming strip mall. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly lady who helped us sign up as new customers. I asked about the yelp deal (buy $115 for $150 worth of services) and she seemed a bit confused, but added that we just needed to buy it and bring the piece of paper that confirms the deal. After about 10 minutes, we were led to a scarcely lit, short corridor that smelled of cinnamon. Each room was spartanly furnished but still had a nice soothing feel to it. Now onto the stretching and massage.. I know what you're thinking.. I'm paying someone $74 to help me stretch for 90 minutes?? Stretching (when done right), is sooo underrated! Sonya, my masseuse lead me through a fluid sequence of deep tissue massages and stretched my every limb. It was like each stretch seemed to ignite a sense of relaxation. Don't let the petite build and soft spoken ladies fool you, they have more strength in their pinky than I do in my whole body. Needless to say, she was able to get out all of my knots, as many as there were. My momma and I will definitely be back :D highly recommend Kim and Lulu :) read more

Just two reviews!? I desperately needed a massage this weekend but the spa at the resort I was staying at closes at 5pm. So my friend found this place because it was close by to the resort. They were opened until 8pm so we called to see if they had an opening for 6 people super last minute. Good thing was they were able to fit all of us in at the same time. I got a mix of Swedish and Deep tissue for $45 for an hour. My masseuse was very nice and knowledgeable. I really liked her and her technique! One thing that bugged me was my bed didn't have a hole so I had to lay with my face to the side (to be able to breathe) and that strained my neck. read more

I had passed this place on my way around town and I wasn't sure what to think, but I was pleasantly surprised. The San Marcos location is very clean and the massage therapist did an excellent job getting my muscles really relaxed. She used some amazing smelling massage compound and stretched me out throughout the massage. She also used some different technique on a really bad knot that I had that really helped it out.
