First of all, I get massages every week for chronic pain. Just to give you a better back ground of what view I'm speaking from. I have had massages all over the city and internationally. I prefer massages that I can feel through and through, where they use their elbows and a lot of pressure to get my muscles. With that in read more

I gave this little hole in the wall a chance today and I do not regret it. They provided amicable customer service, clear communication and made me feel comfortable. Amy is very experienced with Thai massage, I left feeling sooo much better. The only thing I wish could be improved is the linens used on the massage tables look old, id say a change in linens would make it look more presentable. Other than that everything was great! I also learned they use the first come first serve method which is nice when your personal schedule is not consistent. Look forward to coming back. read more

BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER HAD!! I've tried other 5 star places and honestly I just come back here!! Amazing ladies, prices and I don't hurt too much after! My back, neck, everything has felt beyond amazing after them!! Being in the service industry, my body has been really bad many a times and they always help! Hands down!! Give them your service!! read more

We have been coming to this place for about two years now pretty regularly. I really really wanted to like it and kept giving them chances. The massages are decent. But the bigger problem is they are always shortstaffed. They never let you book in advance, they only take cash and have zero wiggle room with that. And today I called to schedule an appointment booked it planned my entire day got a babysitter for my toddler paid $35 for my babysitter only for them to cancel my appointment on me 15 minutes before they thought I was going to call back and confirm my appointment again. If you're looking for somewhere cheap and a little dirty, this is a great spot. If you want somebody professional and understanding, I would look somewhere else. read more

As I drove up Escondido Bl, I called Yen's & was able to come right in. Ahhhh feeling so spoiled with a one hour massage. That's was a year ago. This last week has been very stressful with getting a rental painted and cleaned out. So twice this month I have called & got right in for the best & most relaxing massage. I don't like deep tissue, I like gentle relaxing Swedish massage. Sandy & Amy do a fantastic job. On the edge of sleeping but enjoying the firm gentle strokes on my tired body. An hour later and I feel revived, relaxed & stress free. read more

Great massage for a great price. The ladies are professional. The rooms were basic but the massage is out of this world. Both ladies have strong touch. I got a Thai massage but they offer several others. read more

Yens Massage is great. I recommend that you see Amy or Sandy. Good strong hands for Swedish massage, or they will stretch you around really well for Thai Massage. Very nice ladies as well. I highly recommend them. Don P read more

I have been coming to Yen's Thai Massage for many years now. I like the atmosphere and the location is perfect. Yen is AMAZING and does great work on my body to restore it. She was attentive, communicative, and very intuitive; by far the best massage I've had in a long time! I will definitely be going back soon. read more

This is the real thing. Just like what you would get in Chiang Mai or Bangkok. I've been to Thailand several times- I don't say this to sound snobby but to say that I've had quite a few Thai massages. If you don't know what a Thai massage is, you might be quite surprised that this technique is so effective for restoring balance, energy, and flexibility in your body. Thai massage is a vigorous routine that usually lasts 2 hours. It can have moments of "OMG! this is uncomfortable" just like when you do stretches to areas of your body that are really stiff. But don't worry- the payoff is huge! The technician starts with your feet and works up to the rest of your body, using stretching, bending, and pressure points. It uses a lot of leg stretches that help provide mobility to the pelvis and back, so be sure to wear comfortable, loose clothes when you go. You will never be uncovered during the treatment session. Tookta was delightful-- She is originally from Bangkok where she performed many hours of Thai massage and is now formally getting her massage certificate here in California. She is slow, deliberate, rhythmic in her movements, which is exactly what helps the body open up. The location is a simple, unassuming storefront on the corner of Escondido Blvd and 3rd. I just happened to see a sign that read "Thai Massage $45/hr" which got my attention. If you look elsewhere, this type of massage is often $70 -90/hr, if not more, so the price is a real bargain. If you can afford it, go for two hours. I know that many people would wonder why you would want that much time. It's different from other types of massage because it follows a specific pattern of stretches within each part of the body. If you go for two hours, you can get to a much deeper level of flexibility by allowing the technician to do a wider variety of stretches that help work into the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This is my new favorite place for massage and therapy. I happily drive 30 minutes from Carlsbad to get my fix! Just a minor note- they charge a convenience fee of $3 if you use a credit card. read more

Well the Chargers game was making me upset so I randomly decided a massage was a better use of my time. I couldn't take the stress! I rarely get massages and don't really know the difference between all the different types of massages. I was curious about the Thai massage. She was talking about walking on my body and I was like sure! Lol. I used to walk on my ex's back all the time so I wanted to experience it for myself. Amy helped me and she was great. Very welcoming. I was already wearing loose clothing and she said it was fine to keep on. The massage was a lot of stretching and pressure on different points of my body. I really liked it. I am not good with remembering to stretch when I work out so it was really good for me to do this massage. It was some good stretches, like yoga style. Felt amazing afterwards. It was a good deal. For the amount of work that she did during the massage, the $45/hr price is well worth it. She says there are over 300 different techniques that goes into the massage. She also learned this in Thailand so I knew I was in good hands. I'll definitely come back again! read more

I teach hot yoga about 40 times a month and am frequently in need of deep tissue massages - Specifically my shoulders, low back, hamstrings and quads. I was skeptical about trying this place out but OMG the Thai/Deep Tissue combo was incredible!! Sandy knows what she's doing. I highly recommend this place & I'll definitely be coming back monthly if not bi weekly.‍ read more

My first massage in 35 years. I requested Amy based on Yelp reviews. I have had chronic lower back pain for 6 weeks. I had a 1 hour massage that was amazing. Back feels great. Will return often. read more

Went here once and was not impressed. Walking in it didn't seem very upscale which I didn't care about. However, I could hear the bell ringing and loud talking all throughout the massage. I worked with caylee and there were several points at which I wanted to get up and leave but coming in with neck pain, I stayed, hoping it would get better. It did not. She left several times and left the door open. I paid for an hour and only got 50 minutes. She could not apply the pressure I needed even after asking. Most of the time she just gently ran her hands against my skin. She did not put any focus on my neck, as I had requested. I could have gotten a better massage from a friend. The massage only helped very minimally for my neck but I left feeling very disappointed and like I wasted my time and money. read more

WOOOW. This place is amazing. Very low key, not too expensive, and Great staff. I woke up the other day and could barely walk. I decided to get a massage. This was the first time I've had a "real" massage. I called maybe 3 minutes before I went in and asked if they took walk-ins and if they had time. I was told to come in right away and the place itself was not crazy impressive however the massage I received from Amy was amazing and my pain is close to gone. She was friendly and not too talkative as I am not the talkative. Definitely going back again and definitely recommending this place to everyone I see. read more

Yen's is a mom and pop massage parlor with spa-quality masseuses. Being 6'1", 215lbs, and fairly muscular and athletic, it's hard to find a masseuse who can really "work out the kinks". I've only worked with Kaylee so far, but I thoroughly enjoyed her deep-tissue massage. She has a firm, strong grip that's capable of giving various levels of even pressure to ease even the most stubborn knots. She's very intuitive, and good at locating the source of most trouble spots and working outward from there. She can also provide a good helping of friendly banter. I know this isn't necessary for most massage clientele, but it really helps me relax and get into the mood of things. Between the massage and the conversation, I feel refreshed and completely at ease by the end of the hour. The ambience is what you'd expect from a mom-and-pop parlor. But, for $45/hour, the quality of massage and the experience is well above par. I'm definitely coming back to this place. read more

BEST. MASSAGE. EVER. I had a combination Thai / Deep tissue by May. I really liked that she just figured out what I needed and just went with it. My sister and I were in the same room and she had Amy. Both women were really nice and friendly and SUPER GOOD at giving massages. They must be completely exhausted at the end of the day because they put a lot of effort into giving a good massage. The place is very understated but comfortable and relaxing. Not only was this the most affordable massage that I have ever had, it was the best value because every single minute was packed with massage-y goodness. I Highly recommend this place. read more

Great place! Came here for the Thai massage and deep tissue. Both performed by kaylee (not sure that's how u spell it) but both were amazing. And you can't beat the price! read more

Yen's Thai Massage - Massage Therapy Near Me - Escondido, California

Great for what it is. It's a cheap massage by good therapists. I go after hard work outs and it helps me heal much faster. It is not a spa. It's small and bare with rooms that are not very quiet but I'm ok with that for 45/hour. I pay 90/hr when I want really nice scenery and a sauna. It is completely legal here. I've heard of other places that have shenanigans going on but this is not the place. read more

I've never had a massage before-but I knew my back needed it. I was hesitant for a while because I thought it would be an uncomfortable experience. I planned a massage on the morning of my wedding day. I asked for a relaxing massage and definitely received 100% more than I was expecting. Luan was professional and extremely talented in her chosen profession. I have been getting massages for years including a couple in Thailand when I was there while in the Navy. I rate this as the most relaxing massage i have ever received and more than once in the last two weeks have recalled that massage and cannot wait to schedule another one with Luan. read more

Best massage I've ever had! I normally go to Massage Envy but my sister and I couldn't get in on the day we wanted to. I found this little place and didn't know what to expect. I like deep tissue massage the best and the ladies said they could do that but I would probably like Thai massage better. My sister and I went for it! Holy cow!! I have never felt better! And the price is unbeatable! read more

I had hurt my leg/knee while hiking. I explained I wanted a medium level massage and to please be gentle around my injury. We'll I left there feeling amazing. I know it's not totally healed by any means but I feel better and that's what's important. I diffinatly be going back thank you. read more

Outstanding Thai massage. I left feeling calm and peaceful, as if everything were right in the world. The rooms and ambiance are fairly basic, so you shouldn't expect anything fancy. But the massage is so great that I don't mind that. The only downside is that I don't live closer because I'd be there all the time! read more

Came here after working 2 consecutive 14 hour days in the kitchen and left in just as much pain after a 2 hour massage. The beds don't have the head rest which means you spend the time with your head tilted back or turned to the side. I even told therapist that it was uncomfortable and she didn't really respond. You also could hear them working in the other rooms and people coming and going through the front door. They also didn't honor the price I found on line of $45 for an hour or $70 for 90 minuets. I ended up not leaving a tip and have contacted my credit company to dispute the charges. read more

First time going with Yens Thai Massage and to start I was very grateful to have been taken in on such short notice. I will be sure to be giving these guys a try again next week to help support my road to recovery. read more

Been here twice. Second time around, I'm 34 weeks pregnant. Yen, the owner took really good care of me. She laid me on my side with a round pillow between my legs to help relieve the pressure on my back. She did an awesome job massaging my upper and lower back and my legs. I also requested she work on my IT band. For the price and service, you can't find a place that caters to pregnant women. I felt so much more relaxed when I left. I definitely plan on coming back one more time before I deliver. :) read more

I treat myself to a massage once a month to de stress from work. I have tried multiple places all over north county but never really liked one. As a frequent flier to Yens Thai Massage, I wanted to update everybody on some changes. Prices have gone up to the standard for the industry. $40 for 30 minutes. $60 for an hour and $90 for 1 1/2 hours and a 3 dollar processing fee for credit. Still worth it! This place does such a good job, and these ladies deserve it. read more

Yen's Thai Massage - A picture of the prices! I snagged this last time I was in. - Massage Therapy Near Me - Escondido, California

I lived in Thailand for a year and had weekly Thai massages there. This place is legit! And not spendy! For newbies to Thai massage: you keep your clothes on. I wore leggings and a tank. (Men, wear your comfy sweat pants or PJ bottoms.) It's often called "assisted stretching" and it is just that...gentle pulling, twisting, and pressure from hands and feet on all your trigger points. Yes, they walk on you. Yes, it's awesome. No you can't fall asleep during it because you have to pay attention, but you will feel rejuvenated and taller and livelier and relaxed afterward, and you will not be drenched in oil! Bonus! I'm already looking forward to going back. I had Amy, who is Thai and from Thailand and has an incredible story to tell about her life if you're interested. As others have said, this place is unassuming, but it's quiet, the rooms are warm, and the low-key atmosphere surely helps keep costs down so it's all worth it. read more

I have had multiple Swedish style massages before but when I came here I decided to try a Thai massage. I had never had one and really didn't know much about it. About 30 seconds in I realized what I signed up for and was SOOOOOO glad I did! This was honestly one of the best massages I've ever had. Traditional Swedish leaves you feeling like you spent the last hour relaxing where Thai actually stretches the muscles while relaxing you. It was wonderful! They only do massage here so you also don't have to deal with blow dryers and women chatting loudly in the back ground. It is clean, quiet, and professional. I will most definitely be going back! read more

Went to Yen's for Thai massage. It was a good experience, place is clean, rooms are kept cool and lighting is dim, parking very easy in the rear. As for the massage itself, I would definitely suggest a few areas of improvement. First, her hands and feet were very cold and I wasn't prepared for this shock. I take responsibility for not telling her right away. It was that I preferred to go to sleep and not abruptly tell the masseuse what to do. She proceeded to have a loud conversation with another co-worker through a closed door while her knee was deep in my back. And finally, I really wanted to sleep through the entire massage as my body was very tight from long work hours and she kept talking about how she loved living in Escondido. I would return to Yen's just not to this particular person. read more
