*4/4/25 Part 2 Of 2* THE MASSAGE: Coco checked with me to see if I wanted light, medium or hard pressure. I went with medium pressure and asked if she could work on the right shoulder. Since my job as a limousine driver requires a lot of sitting down, I also asked for the glutes to be massaged. The last massage I had a week ago (at another business) didn't do massage. It was a body rub with no pressure whatsoever. I needed pressure applied to my body and Coco delivered on this with precision and know how. The first 40 minutes or so I was covered and massaged through thin sheet. The sheets DID NOT smell of mildew like other places I have visited. The sheets were fresh and clean. Coco worked out the kinks in my muscles, but this was just the preliminaries. When the preliminaries were over, the sheet was moved down to my buttocks. Oil and a mix of lotion was rubbed into Coco hands before massaging my back. Coco then worked my shoulders. As instructed by me, Coco worked on my Frozen Shoulder and Arm more than my other shoulder. Coco worked on my neck and back with the same amount of care she gave me frozen shoulder. All of this steady pressure Coco was providing, is highly appreciated and extremely delightful. How I did not fall asleep during my massage is beyond me, but I enjoyed every waking moment of the massage. Coco checked on me to make sure my massage is copacetic. Since I did not wish to talk during my massage, I gave Coco a thumbs up sign. She liked this and laughed. A pleasing sound. I could hear some other men and woman getting massages, but like me, they did not wish to talk unless need be. When chitchat was in session, it kept to a minimal. *The music selection unfortunately is very limited. The same song(s) get repeated over and over again. I highly recommend updating the musical library like the new store owner has with the store* Coco as instructed spent more time on my gluteus maximus and thighs. Coco informed me that my left side buttock and thigh were extremely stiffer than the right side. This explains why sitting this past week was much more uncomfortable than weeks prior. Coco helped alleviate the tightness...stiffness in my muscles. I hope to visit here again. Hopefully not wait as long as I have next time around. The chest and stomach massage helped. The past few times I have been stomach massaged by Coco or Jennifer, I knew the next day my bowels would be cleaned out. A very pleasant bonus after a monumental massage. I decided I would get ten minutes extra add-on to my massage. The foot massage and light body massage to end the session was exquisite. Coco let me know the session was over and I thanked her. I lay there for a while thinking about getting four hands for 2 hours next time. I knew I would have to call ahead of time to set this up, but I think it will be worthwhile. I could see myself doing this for my birthday on July 15th this year. Good heavens, I will be 48...! We will see....2 hours might not be enough time. Speaking of seeing, I had extra oil on by body that I was able to remove with paper towels and/or a regular dry towel. I normally don't use a hot towel if it isn't in the same room as the massage table. Same thing applies to the hot stones. Upon leaving after paying, I noticed a woman in tights sitting in a chair, who appeared to be filming me. She might keep it for her collection. If I had the money, I would likely take this to court. I had a terrible and traumatizing experience that took me over a month to be ready to write this. It was a bday gift voucher I was redeeming (they were unaware) but seemed nice. Front desk told me the woman who would be massaging me was great and im lucky! So im in my robe waiting and a man comes in...Whatever, that was weird. Then the massage goes fine. He ends it off (after massaging my whole body and feet) to then go straight to my face... He poured this oil over my closed eyes and the burn I felt after that...What a terrible and scary experience, with no response from them. I immediately knew something was wrong (whilst being undressed and now not being able to open my eyes for the next 20 MINUTES straight) I was crying and telling him it burned and asking what the hell it was and if I could please get a wet towel or ice. I couldn't tell if I was losing my vision over that whole period and it truly shook me to this day. They stood and watched me (even peeking through the curtain) while my naked self tried to get dressed whilst crying my eyes out. He quickly grabbed the bottle (peppermint/tea tree maybe) and ran it over to another room. That was over a month ago and my vision is still definitely worse than before/more blurry. I have googled and it has confirmed my after effects. What stuck with me was the lack of compassion, and not believing me that it felt like fire in my eyes. I felt vulnerable in the worst way and it'll be a while before I can even bring myself to get a massage again. As a young woman, that was so unsettling that I made sure to stop at the front desk on the way out and plead that they not use that on anyone else to step foot in there and that essential oils (my guess what it is) do not go undiluted into someone's skin. They looked at me like I knew nothing so I left. But just know, this is the care you'll be in. The skin around my eyes was burning and visibly swollen/irritated/charred for the next 7 days. read more

I called because I have an expired Groupon and wanted to see how much I'd have to pay out of pocket minus the groupon credit because the amount paid is never supposed to expire. The manager was rude the entire time telling me I had to pay cash and didn't even answer my question, telling me I have to come tomorrow morning. She told me they charge 110$ for an hour couples massage as long as I pay cash. I went online to their website and it says it's actually $99.99. I asked about the Groupon credit and she told me no and hung up on me. So they're ripping people off with dishonest business and also not allowing people to redeem their expired Groupon credits. When we got there, they were very quick, we were brought to the space and the partitions are curtains but the ambiance is dark, and quite and soothing music playing. I would recommend wearing biker shorts or leggings to make sure they can properly massage you. I had a guy masseuse and I thought I would feel uncomfortable but he was very respectful and asked me if he was pressing on too strong. January 2022 - COVID Review: My husband got a Groupon to get a massage here a few months ago so he recommended that I try it out when I was in need of a last minute massage. I didn't buy the Groupon, but I called on a Saturday early evening and was able to get an appointment for an hour later. Cindy was my masseuse and although there is a bit of a small language barrier with the staff, it wasn't too bad since you shouldn't really need to be talking while you're getting a massage. I asked for an hour deep tissue massage and she truly delivered! She was small, but mighty and I loved that the massage included hot oil, hot stones, and hot towels for $60 (that's $1/minute!). Yes, it doesn't have the same "upscale spa" vibes as some of the other more expensive places, but the massage was legit. Each bed is separated by curtains but I wasn't disturbed by sounds or other patrons that were there. They do charge a $2 processing fee if you use a credit card and tips should be in cash. I have had different individuals over the years, but they all do a comprehensive job. The massage includes stretching and movement of arms and legs which really get to the root of pain and soreness. Nowhere in the store do they state there are fees for using a credit card. However they will charge you an undisclosed credit card fee , and then advise you to tip the massage therapist less than what you intended to tip him (to cover the cost of the undisclosed fee). Aside from this being bad practice for the customer and the employee, it's probably also illegal. Not a very relaxing experience. I bought a couple's massage package on Groupon. Boy, what a mistake that was. The place had temporary "walls" that were basically curtains. Every sound could be heard during this "relaxing" massage: employees microwaving their lunch, eating said lunch (I have a thing with people smacking their mouths while they eat so this was NOT fun for me), other customers talking on the phone. Hard to hear the music and tune out the world and bliss out when I could not control my surroundings and the noise level. The employee giving my husband a massage did a good job--checked in with him, making sure that the pressure was just right. My husband enjoyed his massage. Considering this was a birthday gift for him, I am glad that he enjoyed his. I was not given the same luxury; employee did not speak to me about how much pressure I wanted. He just went in and attacked, emphasis on "attack". The employee massaging me was brutal to my neck and shoulders. And not in a good way. I was in so much pain later that day that I seriously thought that he had pinched a nerve or did some serious damage. I could hardly sleep or move my neck later that night. And he bruised my lower back. Yep. The next day, I bent over to pick something off the floor in our home and the back of the shirt lifted up. My husband said, "Did you get a bruise?" Sure enough I did. My massager was so forceful that he freakin' BRUISED me! The pain from my neck and shoulders was much worse than the bruise. Had a Groupon for a couples massage and decided to take my mom. I'll start by saying this place isn't super fancy it's basically a big room and there's curtains for privacy. We were in a "room" together and it was very spacious. They have soothing music playing in the background. My moms and I really enjoyed our massage. They really took their time and unlike many places where we felt cheated on time, this place gave us some extra minutes. I asked for a harder touch and my masseuse pressed hard but it was not painful. I like that they started the massage with no oil because I've had massages where they slathered oil on you and just rub it around which doesn't do anything. Then he used hot stones and hot towels. My partner's masseuse did not ask, though we believe that was due to a language barrier. The massage was good though it does seem up to the masseuse as to what they do specifically (eg: my partner got a head massage but I did not). The parlor does not have individual rooms, per day, but have a series of curtains set up to separate patrons. This makes it convenient for them to change a one person room into a two person room for couples massages (I'm all for efficiency) but it does mean that you hear everyone else. It's not a loud environment though, so that didn't bother me. I'd go back again. read more

I live fairly far from Fairfax, so I called them about 30 minutes before my appointment. They did not pick up. At first I thought it was a mistake but then when it happened again I realized it in fact was deliberate. When I stopped my massage and told them I'm not paying for that. This is my regular place to go for a nice massage. I've been coming here since before they left the Fairoaks Mall. I don't have a favorite person here yet but a couple of them seem to be pretty good. I got a Groupon deal here for my wife and she hated it. The place doesn't have private rooms for massages and instead uses hospital like curtains as dividers. They didn't have any sheets to cover in and instead used small towels. Instead of using mostly oils to massage with, they instead would put a towel on your back and massage over the towel. Worst of all, she had a woman massaging her to begin with and randomly a guy switched in without communicating this to my wife. They also force you to leave a tip when you leave. I have came here several times this past year and each time was excellent. This time however, was the worst experience I have ever encountered. I made sure to call ahead for two appointments to be done at the same time, separately for me and a friend. They confirmed over the phone but once we got there we were told they were "too busy and couldn't do it". My friend left and I ended up getting just my massage. During my massage, his phone rung on two separate occasions, which he answered both calls. I then hear a camera click to my terror. My Mom recently passed away and my Sorority sisters gave me a Spa Finder gift card. I called Relax Rite to see if they took Spa Finder gift card because Spa Finder stated they did but I just wanted to double check. I talked with someone and he said they did take Spa Finder gift cards and so I made an appointment on Valentine's Day, February 14th at 7pm. When I got to Relax Rite on February 14th at 7pm, all the masseur where giving massages and there was a couple waiting in the waiting area. A masseuse told me to sit down. No one asked me for my name or if I had an appointment. The couple went back and I waited a total of 15 minutes and a masseuse said someone would be with me in 5 minutes and she put up 5 fingers. 45 minutes goes by and a masseur ask me how I am paying. Now I watched someone else pay after their appointment was over so I thought this was odd. I explained my Spa Finder gift card had $50 on it but the massage I wanted was $55. I asked if I could pay with the Spa Finder gift card and then pay him $5 in cash. He tried to get me to use both of my gift cards and they would give me a gift card for $45. I told him I did not want to do this. We had trouble talking because his English was not that great. Once we got the payment situated. He started giving me my massage. He said I was really tight and he used pressure that was too much for me so I had to keep saying lighter. My massage was good however, he did not ask me what parts I wanted him to spend more time on or if I had any part of my body that was giving me issues.
