I spoke with the owner, Nasser, and he was extremely patient with me and listened in detail to what I was facing and he provided a few solutions over the phone for me to consider. I decided to go with one of the options Nasser provided and we scheduled a time the next day for him to service and make a minor repair to my system. Nasser arrived on time and walked me through every step of what he was doing and explained what I could expect. Relax was recommended by a friend. My heat was not working and needed service with the cold temps coming soon. They were responsive and communicated that they were running a bit late. The only issue i had was that he quoted me one price and after installing the new board he said it was $ 100 more than the original quote. He stated that the board he had to order was more. As it usually happens, during the coldest day of this year, so far, my heating unit stopped heating. I called my usual HVAC company, which should remain nameless. A technician came and without really looking at anything in particular, started upselling me by pushing me to purchase the entirely new unit. Even to a laymen such myself, it sounded utterly ridiculous. I immediately searched Yelp, had a good feeling about Relax HVAC and called the number. Nasser answered the phone, asked me all pertinent questions and informed me that that he could come for a diagnostic visit the same evening, which was spectacular, as it was cold and I had two little kids at home with no heat. Nasser arrived punctually at the promised time, expertly and carefully examined the unit and informed me of all available options. One by one, he troubleshooted each part of the heat until he zeroed in on the gas valve being an issue that caused the malfunction. Unfortunately, Nasser did not have this specific valve with him, but readily volunteered to purchase and install it next day. And that's exactly what he did. Remarkably, he did it despite the morning snowfall and probably horrendous traffic conditions. He came in promptly, expertly installed the valve and like "magic" heater started working again. Without going into specific prices, this repair cost me at least 10 times less than the other company was trying to charge me. The $75 diagnostic fee also seemed very reasonable, especially, considering that Nasser was able to come to my place within hours of my initial call. I definitely plan to go use Relax HVAC services in the future and would confidently recommend everyone to do the same. read more

Called in Relax Air TODAY based on the good reviews. I was expecting reasonably priced and personal service from the business owner, which is exactly what I got. Husband noticed a condensation related leak from an exterior pipe at the attic level. He saw the condensation pan in the attic was full, and vacuumed it out. The next day it was full again. We call on Relax Air, and Mr. Nasser Kamali made it out the next morning. He noticed our unit, initially installed by the builder through a large, well-known company, was not installed level. This caused a leak within the unit ever since day 1, and was not caught by our home inspection upon buying the house. The leak had flooded our HVAC unit, the entire bottom was full of leaked condensation, bleeding out to the huge black flex pipes, filling them with water for about 4 feet in each direction. He took me to the attic to show me. It looked like someone stuck a 20lbs. bag of rice into each of the flex tubes connected to the unit. The water caused the flex tube to sag, pulling more condensation into this trap, threatening to burst and cause flood and mold damage to my home that isn't even 4 years old. THE BUILDER HAD LEFT ME A TICKING TIME BOMB OF LIABILITIES AND ANGUISH. We were lucky enough to have caught this massive problem before a true disaster, and Mr. Kamali was the one who saved us. He saved us many, many dollars worth of damage, and really did his best to fix the issue in the most cost effective manner. I will never call on any other HVAC company for as long as Mr. Kamali is behind it. We detected a problem with our heating system and gave a call to a different company (don't want to name it) initially without looking at reviews and they charged us $100 just to inspect the system and there was no after communication from them. Apparently, the heating unit died after a few months and thankfully, I found Relax Air and since all reviews were good, I gave them a call. Kamal from Relax Air came for an inspection and he was able to figure out the bad components in less than 30 minutes. He identified the problem right away, but did get a little sidetracked thinking there was another issue. Had parts on his truck and fixed the problem. The technician came the same day we called on a Saturday, and were able to find a replacement motor by Monday. One of our AC units stopped working on a Friday night, so the following morning I called a few AC repair companies to set up an appointment. Relax Air was the only one that offered same-day service. The initial phone call was a bit odd, because once we had set up the appointment, the person asked me to follow up by sending him a text message with the details of the appointment. It struck me as a rather unprofessional way to manage appointments. And then they arrived more than an hour late, so by the time they arrived I was starting to wonder if I had made the wrong decision calling them. However, they got to work immediately and adeptly diagnosed the problem. They kept me informed about what they needed to do and why. They worked hard and stayed late to finish the job, and so we ended the day with a working AC unit. I found the technicians to be pleasant and knowledgeable. I don't write a ton of reviews, but this company is worth it. We arrived home last night to a broken A/C system. It was a Sunday. I called the big local company, but they couldn't get here til Tuesday (and they charged us an arm and a leg for our water heater repair last year...) Anyways, I called Relax Air based on the Yelp reviews and the owner picked up the phone on the 3rd ring. He said, "text me your address and I'll be there in the morning." Click. Hmmm. Well, I texted and about 4 hours later, he texted back and said he'd be here between 8:30 and 9:30. Sure enough, right on time. Lots of investigation, bottom line: need new freon, a new part, and coils cleaned. All repaired within a few hours for a reasonable (not cheap) cost. But we also knew our 15 year old system needs to be totally replaced (a fact he confirmed), so we asked for an estimate (still coming). He said, well, I can't give you an estimate until I look in the attic to see what the unit looks like up there--so he climbs up and low and behold, the major duct had come detached and we were cooling the entire attic. Sigh. It just kept getting better--so he repaired (taped down) the offending ductwork and ta-da--now the upstairs is cooling better/faster, too! The owner, Kamal, told my husband why he has his own little business--likes to do great work, control his schedule, focus on quality, etc. All the things we like to support. About three weeks ago, when it got very hot in the area, our HVAC died. We had family visiting and needed it to be repaired ASAP. I looked on yelp and Relax Air got all star reviews. I immediately called them at 8.30 am the next morning and Kamal informed me that he would be able to come and take a look at it in the next couple hours. Three hours later he was at our home and informed us that we needed a new unit. We were really stressed about how much it would cost us, but his quote was very reasonable. We told Kamal that we would like for him to replace our HVAC. According to his company policy, he informed us that he will replace the unit within 48 hours. And, sure enough, Kamal and his associate replaced our HVAC within two days. I had a water heater blow-out early saturday morning. Called around several places to see if I could get an install same day and most were not available. I spoke with Kamal - he was very informative and asked good clarifying questions and was able to be at my house in 2 hours.
