This was my first time getting a lash lift and because I have naturally skimpy lashes, I also added the lash Botox and organic lash repair treatment. Layla recommended that I use the keratin mascara (sold in-store and online by her business) beforehand, which I did for two weeks. It was a great idea because by the time of my appointment I was able to see a notable difference in my lashes as they were longer and thicker. During my appointment, Layla was attentive and thorough. I walked away feeling very pleased with the results and continued using the keratin mascara afterwards twice a day. It has now been 2.5 weeks since my lash lift and the results are still there. I was super excited to get my brows laminated, shaped and to get a lash lift. My experience with Layla was utterly miserable. She was impatient, critical and very pushy. The results were unflattering (brows) and barely noticeable (lashes). Was charged $340 for this. The experience was not at all relaxing. She was very money hungry, and I felt I continually had to ward off her efforts to upsell me. I have had my brows groomed before as well as my lashes lifted, and have never experienced this before. She was very critical of my natural brows, which are long and full and I have often gotten compliments on. She mocked them, and said the length was unflattering and that they looks like man brows and rectangles. She seemed to have no ability to adjust her style, and instead shaped them in an extremely unnatural, high maintenance way. They are not even and the left one is too short. The end result is not flattering to my face, as well as aging and harsh. I only hope they grow back as full as they were. She also continuously tried to upsell me for expensive add-on treatments that she claimed were critical to the success of the treatments. She made sure to make her pitch once I had been there for a long time and the products were on my brows and eyelashes. When I didn't choose to get them, she acted as if the success of the lamination and lash lift was seriously jeopardized. I wish she would have told me these additional treatments were necessary for the success of the lamination and the lash lift before I got them! I also got more hard sell when it was time to pay, as she pushed keratin mascara and also some cream she claimed was critical for the eyebrows. She charged approximately $50 for each product. I finally broke down and got them because of her relentless selling, which added approximately $100 to the tab. When it was time to pay, I gave her my credit card. She became very irritated that I hadn't studied the voluminous instructions she had sent me carefully enough, which apparently also included that she only accepted cash and Zelle. (Imagine showing up with $400 cash!) She charged me 3 percent for the credit card fee, which was $12. I can only imagine how much profit she is making on the cream and keratin mascara that she pressured me to buy. I looked up the cream and found it for about $20 on various websites . The location is in the commercial building next to the Boiling Crab. It's an alleyway where a few miscellaneous doctors offices are located, and is easily accessible from Main St, or through the parking lot in the back.
