What was exceptional was Lauren, the physical therapist who helped me recover from lower back pain. Her breadth of knowledge, and patience with me, were truly remarkable. She worked with me on the tiniest of "micro movements" -- and for the first time I really learned how to access and work the core muscles that I needed to strengthen in order to alleviate lower back pain. I came to ReKinected after injuring my ankle with a high ankle sprain while backing and I am glad I found this facility. My initial appointments with the front desk administrator, Melissa Powell, were easy and she did a great job with any follow up questions, insurance, and scheduling changes. I love going to ReKinected physical therapy. Working with one physical therapist during your entire appointment has been very beneficial. First, there is a hands on session with your therapist which is usually in a private room. Then, depending on your situation you work with the same therapist on exercises that help to improve your diagnosis. The main space is smaller than some and it's more quiet which makes for a better experience. Each time you have an appointment, you review your symptoms with your therapist. At that time the goals of your appointment are decided. I always look forward to going to my appointments, especially because of Jana. She is extremely knowledgeable and a very good listener. She works closely with me to give me the best exercises for my symptoms. When I'm doing the exercises she is very attentive and ensures that I'm doing them correctly. First off, I'm so sorry you are in need of PT...I had a complex patella fracture which required surgery and I was told by my surgeon that regular physical therapy would be an essential part of my recovery. Because I was looking at a 6-12 month recovery period, I really wanted to use my insurance and did a lot of research. I am SO happy I chose Rekinected and feel like I hit the jackpot with Jana. I walked in using a walker 6 months ago and today I am jogging, bike riding, and walking my dog 4 miles without pain. My prior experiences with PT at some of the larger PT places in Encinitas had felt a bit like a factory with 10-15 min with the PT and then an assistant going through the exercises with me. I would go a few times, learn the at-home exercises, and not return. I just thought that was how PT places worked. At Rekicted, Jana stays with me the whole time (about 45 min) and then they have a great reclining chair for ice and relaxing at the end. It's such a thorough treatment and I know my time working with Jana has 100% contributed to my being back to the activities I love. I saw her twice weekly for 2 1/2 months and then once weekly for 2 1/2 months. Now I am going once every 2 weeks. She is so knowledgable, kind and supportive and always knows the exercises which will push me a little bit further but not set me back or increase pain. She has utilized many modalities - deep massage, cupping, electronic stimulation, and often introduces some fun balance exercises which feel like you are playing a game. I've truly loved my time with her and always leave feeling like the PT hour was very worthwhile. All the PT's seem so nice and you can tell they all get along well and are friends. The front desk help is extremely efficient, warm, and professional so scheduling and rescheduling is easy and smooth. Having had three lower back surgeries over the past 14 years I have worked with numerous other physical therapy groups and Rekinected is truly outstanding. I tore my rotator cuff in the shoulder with an additional muscle tear! I REALLY did not want to go through surgery, and selected to try PT as an alternative to get me back to golf. Christian was my therapist and did just wonders for me! I am back at playing 18 holes of golf without pain!! And best of all I do not have to have surgery! The muscled that were built up with PT has stabilized my shoulder, and I will continue to do exercises at home , which Christian printed out for me. I've seen a number of PTs over the last ten years for my hip issues. This summer, my PCP referred me to ReKinected for the first time. Jana, at ReKinected, has by FAR been the most successful at reducing/eliminating my pain and strengthening the minor muscles that stabilize my joint so that I can now do more weight bearing exercise on my bad hip. There are two factors that set ReKinected apart: the PT works with the patients during their entire appointment, and Jana (who is AMAZING) provides progressively more challenging exercises so I continue to improve. I feel like previous PT offices were honestly a waste of time; I'd be turned over to an assistant for my exercises and I don't recall being so physically challenged. As a result, with previous PT work, my pain reduction was typically temporary. Now, if I keep up with my exercises, I feel amazing. I never thought my hip would feel this great! I highly recommend ReKinected, and particularly Jana. She's also a lot of fun to work with, which makes me look forward to my appointments even more. read more

I've seen many physical therapists in the area. Without question, my best experience has been with the Rekinected team. They are thoughtful, kind and efficient. I've been to several physical therapy offices the past 5 years. I honestly can say that none of these offices could hold a candle to Brittany and her fellow therapists.
