I graduated today from PT for my total knee replacement. Up until a few years ago I had never been to PT and hadn't known what to expect, so I had accepted what I got as what I could get. Going to CORE PT was a revelation. Pam was my therapist and I highly recommend her and CORE. Pam (and all the therapists I watched during my 8 weeks of appointments there) were professional, knowledgeable, flexible and adaptive to each patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were also very personable--treating each of us as a person, creating a relationship that motivates and makes us comfortable doing the hard work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was impressed with Pam's ability to almost instantly assess where I was each time, by observation and discussion. Therapists here are awesome, I left every appointment full-body sweating, but it was worth it! Everyone I've worked with here is great. They helped me recover my leg after a break and full acl tear, now I'm headed back to them for post-surgery pt. Today I graduated from my Physical Therapy treatment at Core Physical Therapy in Encinitas. After four successful joint replacement surgeries in the last two years I feel very lucky that my surgeons referred me for follow up treatment at Core PT. CORE PT was highly recommended to me for rehabbing my knee after meniscus surgery. Over the 6 months of treatment, Pam, Lori and Chris all listened and tailored my exercises to get me back to surfing and skiing. They have extensive experience and made each session impactful. I had my left knee replaced in February of 2024. I started physical therapy approximately a week after surgery. Even though I live in the back side of Oceanside the drive has completely been worth the mileage, traffic, and time. I believe my ability to get back to activities is a result of the expert care and advice my therapist has provided. Lori, my therapist, has been a tremendous resource for me when looking for answers and directions with recovery. Lori is very forthright and doesn't cut corners when providing oversight and care. What an amazing place! I started going to CORE PT to strengthen my knee and legs before getting a knee replacement. (A knee replacement I didn't want to have)! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The therapists at Core, specifically, Lori were instrumental in helping me make the decision to have the surgery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The knee surgery was very successful thanks mostly to my very attentive therapists and techs. Lori then turned her attention to my back pain and sciatica, which also has gotten better! I've been to other physical therapy places but always quit after going 2 or 3 times because I wasn't getting anything out of it. All of the therapists at CORE are excellent! I've been there long enough to watch them do their magic on other people. They teach you to understand how your body works and what's going on so you can make yourself stronger. I have been going to CORE Physical Therapy in Encinitas since early April when I began my recovery from a fractured patella (kneecap). In the beginning, I thought they were great. But, as my recovery progressed, I knew I'd want to switch somewhere closer to where I live in Oceanside, especially since I wasn't able to drive myself at that time. I visited Scripps PT in Vista, and the people were so nice, but their services were night and day from CORE. I went twice, and when my 2nd visit was only 20 minutes, I knew that driving to CORE was well-worth the time and trouble! Three months later and I am still super impressed with CORE. I am there an hour to an hour and half every time. My PT, Susie, spends at least 30 minutes manipulating and working with my knee. She is very creative and tries lots of new things and techniques. Then I spend at least 30 minutes doing exercises supervised by their amazing techs...Blanca is wonderful!!! These exercises have also been varied and are things I couldn't easily do at home. At the end of each visit, e-stim and ice therapy before leaving. I have also seen Pam and Lori and they are both super knowledgeable and skilled therapists; and I've had plenty of time to watch Winston and Chris in action and can see they are also awesome! These therapists really care about helping with whatever they can to help you get back to a better life. They explain underlying reasons for things and really listen to what you say. They are truly tuned in to each patient's situation and seek to do all they can to help. I had no idea how much variation there could be between PT centers. The front office has been super helpful in scheduling too! Trust me, CORE is the place to go, no matter what you need!!! The physical therapy I received 2 1/2 years ago for a back injury was great. What wasn't great was getting a letter from a collection agency saying that I owe CORE $80, 2 1/2 years after the fact. As far as I know, I was paid up on everything. I made all co-payments at the time of the services. I had the collection agency provide proof of the debt. Of the $80 I allegedly owe, there are two outstanding $20 co-payments for physical therapy services. I know I always paid $20 for each visit, and I usually did so by giving the receptionist $20 in cash. I've long ago thrown away any receipts. And I'm under the uneasy feeling that some of my cash payments didn't end up where they were supposed to. I also don't know why CORE never contacted me regarding any unpaid amounts, and waited 2 1/2 years to try to collect this. I like what CORE did to my back, but I don't like what they did to my credit report. In the future, I'll always be paying medical bills with a credit card and saving receipts indefinitely. Needed rehab after ACL surgery (Performed at Core Ortho.) The knee has a poor blood supply so complete recovery takes around 10 months. Hour long walks every day starting about 2 months in, and climbing stairs a bit later both really helped. Progressive stretching and exercises meeting my current physical ability from PT improved my confidence & recovery, and is greatly appreciated. Thanks! read more

I've been going to CORE for about a month and a half now for PT on my torn rotator cuff repair. The entire staff there has been great getting me back into action. I do want to make a special note though that Audra has been simply amazing getting results out of my shoulder. I had a pre-planned trip to the lake to wake board and jet ski 2 1/2 months after my surgery. I really didn't want to just be a bump on a log. With hard work and some incredible physical therapy, I was able to do a lot on this past trip (Wake Surf, Jet Ski and swim). Wake Boarding is in a couple more months. Thank you Audra and others at CORE! Highly recommend this place. Super friendly, super knowledgeable and they get the job done. The folks at CORE PT are fantastic and, in particular, Audra is a miracle worker! After months of suffering from achilles tendonitis that had all but curtailed my endurance sports training, she fixed me up. Using a variety of treatments, I'm almost back to full speed. I've been unfortunate enough to have needed PT services for far too many injuries or surgeries over the last 15 years or so. Because of that I've tried several different PT service providers while trying to find the right combination of trusted expertise, comfortable vibe and a staff that listens to my own comments, concerns, expectations and goals as well. Regaining your strength, dexterity and confidence after an injury is a delicate balance, so whom you select to guide you through all of those efforts is a really important, (perhaps life changing), choice. For the last 4 or 5 years (and 4 surgeries) I've had complete confidence and success with the expert staff at Core Physical Therapy.. With their friendly attitude the experienced and caring personnel also really knew how to help ease the pain along the way to recovery and that's just what I've needed.
