    Flight delayed LAX....CHEERS
    Kimberly C.

Ever catch the last flight out of any airport? Well if you do at LAX, literally EVERYTHING closes at like 7 or 730pm. So Reilly's WAS open with a friendly staff serving drinks! I will say its ridiculous pricing. One margarita was 30 bucks...so for that price I expected a stronger kick BUT the cool 80s music and friendly Bartender made it ok. Glad they were open, no food items available BUT drinks were available!

Got the Chicken Sliders like I was recommended by the bar tender. I paired it with spicy mayo which makes it superb! Enough food to fuel me for my layover while not feeling too heavy. Love that it is open till 9p, one of the few in that area open that late. Service was great and food came out quick.

I had stupendously low expectations for an airport Irish pub that serves tacos and quesadillas... was pleasantly better than expected. Arrived a little too early to the airport after a long work trip- just wanted to sit alone with a drink and some food and not be bothered. Reilly's is located at the end of terminal 1, away from the other bars and grub, so I figured it would be the most peaceful stop available. The bar chairs are surprisingly comfy- cushioned and huge. The ambiance and decor isn't reminiscent of an airport bar. The music was mildly painful and didn't fit the vibe, but the bartender mentioned that it's a new playlist so hopefully they smooth that out. Ordered a large glass of wine and sipped it in peace. I overheard a nearby patron say the chicken sliders were surprisingly good, so I ordered them as well. Chicken sliders: 7/10... not bad at all for an airport bar. Very small (only 3 Hawaiian rolls worth for $19), but good flavor and fast turn around. Service was attentive and quiet, but his personality brightened up when he recognized that you were open to talk. He read the room well, which overall to me is solid service. If you're in need of a peaceful stop in terminal 1, head to Reilly's.

    Breakfast Burrito - $19
    Kiana D.

The perfect little airport bar for a drink before takeoff. Reilly's has very limited seating at the bar, but a decent amount of tables on either side of it. It's nestled at the far end of the Southwest Airlines terminal, which doesn't have too many food options in it. Reilly's serves a limited menu, and my breakfast burrito came with an Urth Caffe sticker on the box. It's unclear to me if it was made there (just down the terminal), but it was actually quite good. I was skeptical to order a breakfast burrito in an airport, so this was a pleasant surprise, especially given the $19 price tag. If you're not sitting at the bar (and there really aren't many seats there) you have to go up to the counter to order, so keep that in mind, but service was great. The bartender even offered me a cup of ice to go with my bottle of Diet Coke. I don't find myself in LAX too often, but this is a good stop when you need it!

Stopped by at around 830 in the morning for food and drink. We were told we would have to wait for 15 minutes or so as the cook was taking a break. When the cook arrived back we ordered a cheese burger and the breakfast burrito. The server came back shortly afterwards and said that they had sold out of breakfast burritos so we settled for two cheese burgers. The cheese burgers were $20 each and not that great. LAX must have better to offer than Reilly's?

Airport food....over priced and average to below. First of all ordering street tacos from an Irish pub at an airport, what did I expect. There was a lot of meat however pretty dry and tasteless The hamburger was fine, tater tots heated up in microwave. Service was fine and decor, people watching in the LAX airport.

Only place in terminal 1 still open and has food after 9 pm.
    Bacong F.

It is the only place to eat and drink after 9 pm in Terminal 1. It closed at 10 pm and the line was long for food order. They stopped taking orders at 9:15 because they were so backed up. Plenty of bar seats and tables. Other establishments ran out of food and closes at 8/9 pm. I ordered a small size beer for about $16+. Food order over $75 will automatically include a 20% tip.

Brining some Irish flair to LAX !! Nice place to chill prior to departure. Plenty of libations and nibbles. Stop by. I'll hold a pint for you! Slainte!

$18 for microwave tacos. The tortilla was stiff and chicken was super dry & flavorless. It was basically shredded boiled chicken. This restaurant was convenient because it was directly in front of the terminal. I don't expect for airport food to be amazing, but this was by far the worst I've ever had. Oh, and the glass of wine was $30

Well I saw the name, Reilly's Irish Pub. I walked up to the bar. A guy attended me right away. Asked what I wanted. So I said I want a BlackSmith. He asked what I said. So I repeated BlackSmith. He was lost. He had never heard of it. They only had Guinness which I love. But they didn't have Smithwicks. Which I also love. That they needed to make a BlackSmith. The only thing making this place Irish was the name. They have Dublin tacos. Irish quesadilla. And loads of Mexican beer.

    Beer & a shot

Thess the bartender is amazing! Quick service, good food & beverage, and our bartender brought an amazing vibe (the entire bar was singing Backstreet Boys with her)!

One of those evenings we ended up at Hennessey's Tavern as a glance at the menu showed that there would be something for everyone, and indeed that was definitely the case! First up was that they had some good drink choices I never expected from an Irish pub alongside classic choices and all at very reasonable prices, especially for being right near the beach, only two or three blocks. Just like usual I opted for soup, going with their French onion, and then a corned beef sandwich, and I am VERY critical of corned beef anything due to my family deli background. But this sandwich was damn good. Not the best, but really good. High quality corned beef and more on the lean kosher side and the rye bread was also on point. Absolutely delicious! Another highlight was the hand cut and fried potato chips, presumably russets, cooked until they were nice and dark brown for all those wonderful robust and earthy flavors that you don't often get from potato chips unless they're handmade. Everything at Hennessey's was really good and in a fun Irish pub atmosphere. The Guinness also took the meal up a notch as it should. This was definitely a nice stop on our trip and had we more time to spend, we likely would have returned here again simply because of the good selection and the quality to price. If you are in and around Manhattan Beach and you want something that is a little heartier and is centered around that traditional pub vibe, this is definitely the way. Give them a shot and stop on in!

I believe that Holiday's matter, not as days that drive chocolate and flower sales, but as…read morereminders that whimsy should be celebrated to make life a bit more colorful and joyous. Scrooge might say "Bah! Humbug!" to festivities but, in other hand, say "hab gubmuh" to the days and seasons that bring mirth, hanging streamers and disco balls into our life, lest these be left in grayscale. That is why I was attracted to this bar because I wanted to know be drenched in red and pink glamour while all the way celebrating that very special feeling of love. As, soon I entered the door and saw the exaggerated decorations on the roof and on the walls, my immediate thought was "fun," not corny, or please with these hanging hearts and neon lights. Thus this place owns the trip to love land without apology, and I for one, say that this means that the festive goal hoped for hit heart center. I also went relatively early, in terms of bar crowd hours, and was surprised that the place was full to its arteries. Truth be told, that is why, I ticked one star of my overall rating because this place is cute and a vibe, and a worthy scene, but it is also small and packed to the point where folks are proverbial sardines in a tin can. But more on that later, right now, we start with what gave me anchor in place: their pool table. There is no place to sit, amidst the crowd, I automatically assessed. Where can I be to find my place? So I went to the table and played pool. I appreciated that the place had clearly articulated rules and procedures for play, which removed ambiguity and created a climate of respect toward the game, which allows for pool games where appropriate and competitive game play reigns. I managed to order a drink on theme for the night: a Misty Kiss. It was the bartender's suggestion, after I asked for their sweetest cocktail. When she first suggested it, I thought she said minty kiss, and thus when she delivered the drink, I was expecting some kind of shamrock shade. But then I heard the appropriate pronunciation- misty, not minty. I wondered when a literal misty kiss would be appropriate and beautiful? Then I remember scanning a picture book of love pictures, and one was of a woman saying goodbye to her sailor as he shipped of to fight in a world war, and I realized that the sadness in her eyes as she said goodbye was a form of a misty kiss. I took my Misty Kiss and played a game of pool with a guy named Matt. He revealed that he played every day, which explained why I did not stand a chance against a daily player, balance in talent simply did not exist. It was hard to find a spot to place my drink, which tasted swell, and was on brand for the evening, and quite stiff! It was hard to find a seat or a spot for me to call my own. And it was for others as well. I saw people going to the bathroom and needing to allocate themselves in near hunches to avoid the sticks of pool. And out in the crowd, people were huddled on the floor, not sure where to be so they could feel like they had a space of their own and did not bump with others. But there was no way to avoid bumping into others, and it was a mission to find a spot. That is why when I saw a table for two open up, I did a mad dash to an empty chair, like a fool in love who rushes in. It is at the chair where I could not only see but stop and admire the paper roses of the place. As my pictures show, the place truly did not limit itself from embracing the spirit of Valentine's day. For instance, they had this wall of decorations, with hearts, orbs (white, red, pink) teddy bears, and so much more; it was a tapestry hung just right for the occasion. Of course, people wanted to use the wall as the backdrop but with so many people, this too, required a wait and navigate plan. I did help some folks out by taking their pictures. I was not Cupid but in these moments I did hope that my aim was true. In the final analysis, I immensely appreciated the decorations, and all of the folks who dressed for the occasion, because it gave texture and meaning to the decor. But the tight quarters limited the love I can give to this place. However, I do know now where to go, where I want a themed drink, and environment to boot.

But Sandra told me they don't have Harp, and suggested I do a Snake Bite instead which is half Guinness & Hard Cider. I opted for just Guinness since I wasn't in an experimental mood. Later, she was kind enough to let me sample a shot of the Strong Bow Hard Cider which was smooth, sweet, acidic with actual sour apple flavour. Next time I'll have to order the Snake Bite. Don't know how exactly Irish Sly Fox is with its grunge-garage rock music. But it's a good, unpretentious, local hang out. The amount served was completely disproportionate to what we were charged and it ultimately felt like a scam. To make it worse, the shots were served in plastic cups that were smaller than a NyQuil dose cup, which made the whole thing feel even more ridiculous given the price. If you are charging premium bar prices, at least pour a proper amount and serve it in real glassware. On top of that, the attitude from the bartenders and much of the staff was rude and dismissive. This was not just my opinion. Our entire group felt the same way, and we even heard similar complaints from other patrons while we were there. What is most frustrating is that this still has not been made right. There has been no meaningful resolution and no accountability.
