We opened the box once we got to the car and immediately knew, because of how gooey they appeared, we would have to wait until we got home to eat them instead of attacking them right away. They are in the NoDa (North Davidson) Arts district, which is a chilled pedestrian-friendly area with several cute shops and street vendors. Parking is on the street or in monitored lots. It's Reigning Doughnuts! Hallelujah! Glorious little outdoor donut shack located in the Charlotte area, on one of the main night nightlife spots on East Davidson. Super friendly girls and credit card only so if you have cash don't even bother. They serve hot delicious donuts from a window and it's basically everything Duck Donuts wants to be but isn't. It's local and it helps you keep your money in the community. The doughnuts are delicious, not the cheapest things in the world but the Honey Dip is really yummy and the cinnamon sugar is yummy as well. But when I compare them with the standout donut in Charlotte which is OMG, it honestly isn't even half as good. However these are hot and they're available late at night and the people serving them are cute and friendly so you can't go wrong with that. And I met nice people standing around waiting for doughnuts as well. It's open super late, and the donuts are pretty good hot donuts, which remind me a little bit of Duck Donuts but way better. They're not great, but they're cheap and add a nice little bit of flavour and deliciousness to the area, so I would definitely recommend giving them a try.
