Yummilicious place. Its a diary ice cream place filled with delicacies of great choice.. even a plain vanilla ice cream was so great tasting and so affordable pricing for the quantity served. I will go back for more whenever I am in the area near Reids diary farm .

So I've had Reed's dairy in the tub before but when I arrive to Belleville and saw that the manufacturer was here I got so excited. during my stay I've already stopped by three times. The ice cream tastes absolutely delicious, I'm not down playing this, it literally taste like it was handcrafted with love. There always seems to be a lengthy lineup but it passes pretty quickly, and it honestly gives you an opportunity to figure out what flavour you want to put together since there are a million options. I ordered a tornado, which is kind of like a blizzard if we're comparing it, but so much more delicious. For the tornado you have the option of getting soft serve ice cream, there are so many flavours to choose from, and then a ton of toppings to choose from to put inside and then they will blend that up for you. if you decide to get hard ice cream from the tub, they will also add pretty much any flavour to that as well. My lactose intolerant husband ended up getting a slushy which he also said was delicious.

You can't miss the castle... look!

Before coming to Belleville, I had bookmarked Reid's Dairy Company. I love ice cream and wanted to give it a try. After having checked in to my hotel, I was off to fetch some dinner and saw a castle. I knew that it was Reid's and had to return. It was pouring rain. It didn't stop me from visiting it. I parked in the lot, took out my umbrella, and stood in front of the store, taking photos. I realized at that moment that I will do anything to get a photo. Everyone else dashed out of their cars and minivans to seek shelter inside and I looked like a crazy woman who is obviously not a local. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit down. It was the first thing that I saw walking into the store. There were perhaps three people ahead of me in the lineup. I looked at the drinks that I could purchase, as well as the hard and soft ice creams on the menu. As soon as a saw the soft-serve twist cones on the menu, I knew that I wanted one. I got a medium. The young woman at the counter was nice. I placed my order and used a credit card to pay $3.14 (pi!). A minute later, she handed me my twist cone. I walked back to my car, carefully holding it under my umbrella as the rain came down hard. I decided to kill two birds with one stone by eating my twist cone in my car while waiting for the rain to subside. The medium size is huge! The twist looked picture-perfect. It was beautiful. The ice cream is super creamy and thick. My favourite ice cream is Kawartha. I need to add Reid's to the list. Yum! Reid's is known for its $1 milkshakes. I need to return and try one. It's fun coming to this store. You can press a button under a fun cool cow with sunglasses and hear it moo. There are lots of dairy products that you can buy, including milk and cream. You can get Reid's ice cream and take it home. I was happy to see butter tarts in the store, too. I was in heaven. It was a moo-ving ice cream experience. It is udderly worthwhile to stop by this Belleville ice cream institution. (336)

The best ice cream place around, the only place in Belleville to get good quality ice cream. The ice cream is made right on location, you can see the production line right from the parlour as there is a glass screen to view inside. Options include: soft serve, 12 "hard" serve flavours, milkshakes, tornadoes, sundaes,... all for a great price. Always a line up during nice summer days. They also have a retail section that has all the other dairy products they make for sale to take home. That also includes the ice cream if you didn't get enough the first round.

Reid's Dairy is a must when coming to Belleville. Since it was such a beautiful day out we couldn't pass up an opportunity to eat ice cream. The Tornado's, ice cream and milkshakes are so cheap and you get a lot for what you pay for. I ordered a small cookie dough Tornado and I couldn't even finish it, that small at Reid's Dairy would've been considered a large at Dairy Queen. The only complaint I had about my experience was that there was a hair in my tornado (yuck?) but seeing as all the workers did wear their hair nets, I decided to ignore it. Besides, accidents do happen and it won't stop me from coming back here again next time I'm in Belleville !

Just maybe I had find my DREAM soft serve ice cream in a Fairy Tale Castle?! Reid's Soft Serve ice cream is the best I ever had and for less than $1.50?! I just could not believe my eyes when the cashier gave me my order. It just looked surreal! So perfect.. all like a dream or it is really edible? I can assure that it was so good. The texture so creamy and smooth and dense. Made with real cream and I really don't care about the fat content. But it suppose to be good for me with all the goodness from the fresh milk/cream. You can eat in and watch Bug Bunny/Tom and Jerry on TV or getting it from the drive thru and have it to go. And even have a Birthday Party serving ice cream only :). There is also custom milkshakes, ice cream by the scoops, sundaes and more. I think I am getting a double cone and a milkshake next time!

Reid's makes THE best icecream around. It is our summertime treat and guilty pleasure whenever we are in the area. Almost as good as their icecream though, is their eggnog. It seems even in the winter months they have a way to lure into their delightfully scrumptious clutches. Our waistlines may not love you Reid's but the rest of us do.. especially our tastebuds.

Terrible experience. Walked in w/family and immediately upon setting foot in store a young girl yells at us that if we're not on same bill only one can stay in. I understand there are protocols in place but even while working at a major hospital in Toronto I have never encountered such restrictions or even meat-market-style yelling. We were at Slickers the day before and the kids were allowed to actually SEE the ice cream before choosing it. I'll just go there next time and avoid the hassle. Oh and btw - Tom's Dairy in Toronto kicks the daylights out of this place's soft serve!

Wonderful ice cream. Just wish they had more lactose free options. Lot parking. Can be busy during the summer months with long line ups.

Best ice cream in town. Try their other selections also. You can't beat their dollar shakes at the castle!

The outside displays are always enticing; everything from fresh herb plants to produce can be seen as a backdrop to a small outdoor seating area, which is a great place to chill once you've grabbed a quick ready-to-go item for a snack or lunch. Typical items are sandwiches, fresh pizza, baked goods. Also, coffee is pretty decent. I'm a big fan of their move to support gluten free products. They currently carry Purest, a brand that's based in ON, and every Wednesday is gluten-free day; they have pizza and sandwiches that are really yummy. And, today I even scored a GF brownie - delicious. Prices definitely reflect the quality, which I won't complain about - it just makes it a more occasional stop for me.

Delicious soup, spinakopita and other goodies. They sell almost all local produce, with some flux during the winter months. Lots of meat, cheese options as well as veggies and a growing section of other staples like flour and beans. CSA drop-offs also abound here and it sort of turns into a cool little hub of activity in the summer. Not really much by way of seating area except during the summer time when the outside area turns into a patio area. Also probably some of the best coffee in Kingston. Bueno bean is the bomb.
