They have an amazing variety of vinegars (white balsamic and regular balsamic) and olive oils. The staff are very knowledgeable and can help you pair different flavours if you're feeling overwhelmed. Love that you can taste test the different products (vinegars and oils). They also run a bottle recycling program so if you bring back your washed bottles you can get 10% off a new bottle! They occasionally come out with new flavours so make sure to stop by every so often to check it out! Fun fact: this is also a stop on the Kingston food tours!

After deciding to cross over to Wolfe Island when leaving Kingston, ON early morning it never…read moreoccurred to us that the breakfast options on the island would be extremely limited so while enjoying the crossing I found this little bakery on YELP and thought what better way to experience some of the local culture than this. To find this tiny bakery take a left after exiting the ferry and Wolfe Island Bakery is located immediately on the right. There's a few parking spots in front and a few additional spaces on the side, there is also a special lane for ferry boarding for those heading back to Kingston allowing you plenty of time to grab a treat while waiting in line. The inside of the bakery is rather small but there's plenty of seats on the front porch to enjoy your sweet choices. The owner was very friendly even though she was quite busy baking and putting out the fresh baked goodies. There are plenty of things to choose from making it quite difficult - I wanted to taste a little of it all but settled on a raspberry danish and sticky bun (even though I ordered a giant cinnamon roller) and an ice cold carton of milk. I'm sure it was just some confusion being I couldn't make up my mind. Our selections were still warm making these fresh baked goods soooooo delicious. The only negative making this a four star review instead of a five is the flies inside the store, the display cases are open to the atmosphere so although I didn't see them land on our choices I'm sure they enjoy the sweets as much as we do so the odds are they try a little bit of everything...

I personally go there whenever I want to find a sweet gift for someone. You never know what you'll find. What makes the store really special is the antique feel, especially the floors that are creaky old wood (that's a good thing!) Also, the aromas when you first walk in of coffee and chocolate are amazing.

The items we bought were all reasonably good, though not of highest quality. They have a nice area outside to sit to enjoy a coffee and baked good. Also, perhaps a little cleaning of the dust and spider webs out front would make it more enjoyable too.

Still, some of the baked goods are gluten-free (woohoo!) and the menu offers some great daily options that are good for eating in. I count this spot as a favourite local stop-in for weekend brunch. The best news, though, was that when I was in for brunch a couple weeks ago, the staff told me that they are developing more gluten-free offerings, including fresh bread! Should appear around May in the shop. I am eagerly awaiting a taste!

We didn't stay in so we wandered the store side a bit. There were a lot of ready-made meals like pies and sausage rolls and ice creams. You could pick up a tasty sweet treat, some freshly baked breads, and a lot of lovely dessert options. They also had some local goodies like County Bounty sodas, jams, teas, and others. I picked up a few local goodies and then a cinnamon bun (which was massive!) and a ginger cookie. The ginger cookies were delicious. Soft, molassas cookies with that chewy texture. The cinnamon bun was huge and more bread-y than sweet, which I really liked. It had such a great flavour. We wanted to grab some pies too but we couldn't bring them on the road with us. Definitely gotta bring a cooler next time we're heading into Kingston. The staff are also so friendly here and do their best to get through the crowd in an organized and fast way. In fact, what…read moreconstantly amazes me is the frequency and duration of the market as a whole; running as long as possible over the calendar year (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays (antiques and crafts), and holiday mondays). What I love is the selection of fresh, local produce at great prices. The vendors are mostly very cheerful and friendly folks, and I enjoy making my weekly trips to pick up whatever is in season. I don't pay much attention to the craft/baked goods or jams and jellies - although they all look fantastic. They are not really up my alley, but if you're interested, come check them out. This market will never be the biggest, nor the most varietal, but what it does offer is great local food from local people. In fact, I'll go as far as to say I prefer the simplicity that some of the other reviewers seemed to be disappointed by. There are no frills here, and that's just the way I like it.
