    Cookie dough ice cream

I googled top restaurants in Picton and slickers came up. It was not a restaurant, just an ice cream parlour but definitely worth it. Some thing about small town ice cream parlours just hit different. The staff were really nice, seemed a little bit overwhelmed since there was a huge line up but it also seemed like some thing they were used to as well. They served other items, like cookies, but they were a couple of sold out items. The ice cream was delicious, I will definitely be going back when I'm in town.

Slickers gets it right - their ice creams are the perfect blend of high quality ingredients, interesting and nostalgic flavors, and a product made with so much love that one taste can make any ice cream skeptic into an instant fanatic. We ordered the chocolate raspberry and campfire - both were an absolute treat. As far as texture goes, no complaints here: the ice cream is thick and almost chewy, making for a satisfying and substantial scoop. As far as flavours go, this is where Slickers really shines. Campfire is as tasty as it is nostalgic, bringing you back to childhood campfires with its smoky, charred flavors and chunks of marshmallow. Chocolate raspberry was bright and vibrant, and a great contrast the smoky richness of campfire. This combination worked together really well but there are a ton of other delicious flavors that look great individually or as part of larger dynamic duos/trios. You can't sing high enough praise for this gem in PEC and with two locations, you have to make a stop if you're around Picton or Bloomfield. Or even stop at both! You won't regret it.

Campfire was great. Though maybe not for kids

Amazing and creative flavours. The first time we were there I tried the rhubarb ginger, and the caramel turtle one. Both were good, but I was super into the rhubarb ginger and I would get it again. My wife had kid's breakfast and campfire. She thought it was great as well. After I had been my sister recommended the Apple Pie flavour to me, so I felt I had to go back again the next day to try it. I also wanted to try some of the campfire for myself. The campfire is great. A little bit of bitterness... the best I could compare it to would be an espresso ice cream. Possibly not a great kids flavour, but I was super into it.

Great ice cream. Great flavours. I go every time I visit PEC! They make seasonal flavours from scratch. Apparently their most popular flavour is their s'mores but you pretty much can't go wrong with whatever you pick.

Okay to me food and in this case ice cream is a simple concept that is poorly executed by most places. All you really need are fresh, simple and real ingredients. Start adding all the artificial colouring and flavours and you start to screw things up. However Slickers has done ice cream on point here in the lovely town of Picton in Prince Edward County. Offering ice cream made from scratch in house using fresh ingredients, this is one of the best ice creams that we've had in a while now. Some of the stand outs include the Rhubard Ginger with the hint of tang and spice, the Apple Pie with actual chunks of homemade apple pie and the Camp Fire which has burnt marshmallow in the ice cream itself! You can tell this place is popular as there was a line of people ordering despite the cool fall weather outside. I can't imagine how popular this place would be in the summer. We will definitely make Slickers a must stop from now on in the area. 4.5/5 for some outstanding home made ice cream!

You cannot go to PEC without making a visit at Slickers. It is one of the most satisfying, authentic, flavourful, and delicious ice creams I've had, and I really do love my ice cream. We visited only for two days, but after the first ice cream on day 1, we had to make a second visit before heading back to Toronto. The campfire marshmallow tastes genuinely like what it is, with bits of crunchy burnt marshmallow spread throughout the ice cream. I can still taste the memory of it! The second day, we were in Bloomfield, but we had to pull over for a scoop. I opted for a fruity flavour, and had the raspberry dark chocolate. I love nuggets in my ice cream, and this one had satisfying chunks of real raspberries and flakes of dark chocolate spread throughout. The raspberry flavour was strong and authentic, and I totally wish I had a scoop with me as I'm writing this. They only take cash, and they can't guarantee any cross contamination with nuts. Make sure to stop by the ATM or have some cash on hand and make sure to make a stop to try their delicious ice cream (and bring some back for me if you can)!!

After walking the strip, we came to Slickers for some dessert. What I loved about this place most were the interesting flavours. Most notable ones were campfire, apple pie, chocolate orange and Jack Daniels and chocolate. I ordered the campfire and it literally charmed all of my senses as if I were actually standing in front of a campfire. The secret is burnt marshmallows...I loved it! I also sampled apple pie, which was completely identical in the ice cream's flavour. During the 20 minutes I sat there, the lineups were long and consistent which is always a great sign! The only thing is that they don't take VISA/credit, which is why I gave this place 4 stars out of 5. Highly recommend it after lunch or dinner!

I'd read about this place and how delicious the ice cream was but I didn't realize I'd be having the best ice cream I've ever tasted. The burnt marshmallow really tastes like a marshmallow fresh out of the fire. Their mango and raspberry was also delicious and refreshing. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!

I discovered Slickers last year while visiting Prince Edward County and it's easily one of my favourite places for ice cream even though I don't live close by. My favourite flavours are Campfire (think smokey marshmallows) and Apple Pie which has pieces of apple and pie crust in it. You also can't go wrong with cookies & cream or lemon chiffon if you're looking for something fruity. I think Slickers does a good job of getting the texture of the ice cream just right as well as balancing the sweetness and flavours. They have cups and cones available as well as sundaes and ice cream tacos and ice cream paninis. Things you should know... it's cash only... the flavours rotate and can sell out quickly. I arrived just as they were closing and they were out of Campfire and Apple Pie. The staff said to try back tomorrow. The next day, we arrived just as they had sold out of Campfire but were lucky as it was just being restocked. Definitely check out Slickers if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!
