A great spot by the lake for ice cream. I ordered the caramel praline turtle & it was definitely too sweet for me. My husband ordered the ice cream nachos but he felt he needed more ice cream to enjoy the rest of his waffle chips. If you have a sweet tooth & you're in the area, it's definitely a place to check out.

We love going to Bevs for ice cream, it is super close to home and we love passing time eating ice cream by the water, the service is super fast even when it's super busy! There are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your treat and you can also go for a walk around the area or skip rocks after your done eating, it's a great place to take kids.

It actually pains me to write this review. Years ago, Bev's was the place to go...if you were a local or a student. I have many memories here and I was excited to bring my boyfriend here today for his first time. Disappointment instantly set in. Bev's isn't homemade ice cream anymore as it once was. Now they serve "Perry's Ice Cream." It just wasn't good and took away that small town feel this place once had. The ice cream now tastes very commercialized. The nostalgic feeling is gone.

Soft serve twist is def my fav every single summer ! I always bring my pup for a small bit too! The service is also sweet with teens as far back as I can (ahhhemn) recall. I had a bestie who worked there! The lake is right there with picnic tables or sit in your car and look over as you enjoy the best Bev offers!

One of my favorite stops! You cannot beat the view! And the ice cream is of course so delicious! My go to order is the sour apple flavor burst with sprinkles! Their prices are great, just remember they only take cash! The employees are great and super fast!

Delicious soft serve and an amazing view of Lake Ontario. I'd return here all the time in the summer if I lived closer!

Very good soft serve ice cream. Inexpensive and conveniently located near campus! Wish they were open year round and had more space.

The lake views are beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect backdrop for a casual meal. One unique touch I loved was that they provide paper bags to cover your food when you're eating outside, a clever way to keep the seagulls from swooping down and stealing your meal! Inside, it's exactly what you'd expect from a traditional drive-in. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept the line moving quickly. Plenty of parking with some space across the street too. Cleanish restrooms. One thing to know if you have food allergies, specifically a shellfish allergy, and they use shared fryers, so I couldn't safely order anything fried. I really appreciated their honesty and transparency. Between the friendly service, gorgeous waterfront location, and nostalgic atmosphere, Rudy's is a classic place that's easy to recommend.

"Great" is always relative to the palate using the word. After 80 years on the shore of Lake…read moreOntario, Rudy's carries a lot of lore opened by Rudy Gadziala and his wife Marie in 1946, now run by third-generation owner Jason Livesey, famous for its Texas hot sauce and the founder's old line about owning a "million dollar hot dog stand." Online reviews are all over the map, so we wanted to see for ourselves. We visited recently with our 7- and 8-year-old nephews, hoping to soak up the tradition. The reality was more transactional. The hostess took our order while sipping her own beverage likely why we were shorted an order of fries. Nice enough, but not especially professional or welcoming. The whole operation moves fast; the staff is determined and task-focused rather than friendly. You get a buzzer and wait. The interior was renovated in 2025, and it shows but not in a good way. The bright white walls and green banquettes feel sterile, more fast-casual chain than 80-year-old lakeside institution. In modernizing, they stripped out whatever nostalgia the old space had and put nothing back. Some local artwork, vintage photos, or lake history on those fresh white walls would go a long way. The food: the boys enjoyed their cheeseburgers, and the fries are genuinely good. The fish sandwich was generously sized but bland the batter had little flavor, and the tartar sauce didn't rescue it. For a place with an 80-year reputation built on fish, I expected more. The lobster mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. The tab: four drinks, two cheeseburgers with fries, lobster mac, and a fish sandwich with fries came to nearly $70 steep for a lakeside stand where fries alone run $5.25. The setting is lovely and the legacy is real. But sometimes generational ownership slips down a slick slope and making money starts to matter more than making memories.

You all have made this Stewart's feel like home away from home and it's amazing. There is a Dollar General right down the road that is closer to my home and I drive right by, why do I drive by? After waiting at counter 5-7 minutes before anyone even took our order (it was just us there, they didnt take our order until a line started to form), we ordered 4 milkshakes and 1 scoop of icecream. The milkshakes were so thin, we couldn't even drink them. It was literally like drinking milk with a flavor, disgusting. And for the almost $40 spent on all of the icecream plus donuts, I am so disgruntled over this. My kids wouldn't even drink them. What a waste. I saw on the menu that thick milkshakes cost extra. How about just make us actual milkshakes? Why should I have to pay extra for my "milkshake" to not be the consistency of milk???
