I spent $20,000 on a security system that never functioned properly. I should have known what to…read moreexpect when they came to do the install and I found out it wasn't even them and that they hired a subcontractor to do the whole job. The DVR failed multiple times. They even took it back with them on one occasion and I was without it for a month while they tried to repair it. When they brought it back it worked temporarily but eventually stopped working altogether. When I called again they told me they'd come back but I'd be charged for a service call. Eventually they just stopped returning phone calls and emails. I never write reviews because I truly believe that in many cases the reviewer is unreasonable but I finally decided to write of my experience. I would never use them again and would not recommend them. UPDATE 6/4/2019 So how did Triad address my review? Well apparently it took them 7 months to notice it. When they did, not only did they not call to express their concerns, but their salesperson Gary Fall left a negative review for my business as revenge. I think that speaks for itself.

2 of the 3 buttons broke down on my 20+ years old intercom system so I called the manufacturer who…read morereferred me to Canal Alarm. I called Canal Alarm to make sure they had the parts before physically making a trip down. While at the shop, I asked the shopkeeper if they sold the wires connecting the buttons behind the panel, in case I broke the wires while replacing the buttons. The shopkeeper was very nice: although they did not normally sell wires, he cut me some for free. I think he was sympatric toward me because I told him I was teaching myself how to repair the intercom for the very first time - he explained to me the buttons were usually the first culprit and the speaker the second but both were easy to replace. On my way leaving the shop, I double-checked with the shopkeeper that I didn't need to shut down any power to perform the replacement . . . it was reassuring to know the repair should be an easy/fairly safe job that I would not be on a high risk to electrify myself (just kidding). As for the repair, it was indeed fairly straightforward; I did break one of the wires so the free wire from the shopkeeper came handy. While replacing the buttons, I also realized that I did not hear the speaker making any sound - perhaps it was time to visit Canal Alarm again to buy the new speaker.
