Select in Upland is a billing mill. I saw 3 separate therapists including the intake and diagnostic…read moreDoctor. At no point was my injury taken seriously. Each time I arrived for a therapy session it was clear that the therapist had no understanding of my injury or my congenital skeletal condition. So either they did not read or remember my case history or the intake history was very poorly done. The last visit, after I was told a diagnosis that was inaccurate regarding the reason for my PT prescription, I tried to inform the doctor of my condition and to correct their understanding of my diagnosis. They were not interested at all. Definitely do not recommend this location for any painful injury that is not a clear result of a car accident or some other accident or surgery. They just seem unequipped or uninterested or both.

I would not recommend this place at all. Then they will give you a paper to do the exercise at home. Second visit , as a start the therapist then makes us start to use the stationary bike then leaves you . why? so they can work on the other patients they see there. then after you complete the first exercise they then make you move and use another machine then leaves you. this then continues from the time you start till the end. Not even showing you or explaining to you the purpose of the exercise and why that particular move is helpful. At the same time as well they are treating other patients in the room and moves around from one to another. Waste of time! And to think I was even paying out of pocket. After 3 visits, I just stopped. The worst place!

If you want to reach goals and become stronger, this is the gym for you. I started coming to RP…read moreOctober 2022. I had a goal of running a half marathon and a friend of mine told me to check them out. So glad I did! I messaged them on instagram and I was surprised how promptly I had a reply; I met with Calvin later that day and we went over what my goals were. He actually even encouraged me to start the training later that afternoon... safe to say this is the one type of training that stuck with me. I've had other gym memberships before but this type of training really is different, (in the best way possible). You're met with real people, with real goals in an encouraging and engaging environment. Calvin and his wife Trinh are such down to earth folks. This gym is just an extension of who they are and what they've built. No matter the starting point, they meet you where you're at and go from there. It's definitely not your commercial gym, it's a space where you're allowed to go your pace but also pushed to limits you didn't think possible. I also love the option of coming in the mornings or afternoons... Coach Marco is another trainer (in the morning) that knows what he's talking about and celebrates you hitting your goals! So if that's what you're looking for, RP is definitely the place for you!

I've started training at Recalibrated in 2021. At first I was just there for open gym. Eventually I…read morejoined team training around February 2022. The community is super encouraging especially at the end of the training block when everyone is testing their 1 rep max. It gets rowdy and it's a lot of fun. Coach Calvin is super friendly along with his wife Trinh. They recently moved to their new location in downtown Upland which is super spacious. The team training focuses on the big 3 powerlifting movement: squat, bench, and deadlift. Do not be intimidated. I have seen first hand people start with the barbell and grown into strong individuals. It's a matter of consistency. There is a morning session and an afternoon session (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) Morning sessions are run by Coach Marco. He's super accommodating and fun to train with. It doesn't matter if you're just starting, jumping back on the saddle, or looking for a group to train with, come check this place out. I said I'd give team training a try for a few month in Feb 2022. Two plus years later and it's wild home much more stronger and fit I've become! Consistency Consistency! One thing to note about the gym. This isn't a commercial gym. You get a space to train where you don't have to deal with inconsiderate people taking up machines, checking themselves out in the mirror, and leaving equipment all over the place.
