After thorough comparisons, we selected them due to their excellent reputation, dedicated in-house team, and significantly competitive pricing--$8,000 below other bids. Our installation was handled by Peter and Chris. They were exceptionally professional, friendly, and meticulous, ensuring our home remained clean throughout the process. What was projected as a two-day project was completed in just a day and a half. We are absolutely delighted with the superb quality and the windows and door. We wholeheartedly recommend Peter, Chris, and the entire Fisher Windows team.

Following the tearing of our shower door vinyl sweep, the quest for a replacement took us to Home…read moreDepot and Lowe's which proved unsuccessful, as no suitable vinyl sweep was to be found. It seemed relatively simple, as our existing sweep wasn't tailored for a shower door. After watching numerous YouTube tutorials, we decided to replace the entire rail. However, our subsequent visits to Home Depot and Lowe's revealed that the rail was typically sold with the custom shower door, not separately. Turning to YouTube once more, we discovered that an online glass company could provide a replacement rail. Yelp led us to the many positive reviews for Country Glass who has a showroom in Hudson. I called and spoke with Becky who listened our issue and invited me meet with one of her technicians. While at the showroom waiting to meet the technician, I noticed a display showcasing replacing glass with broken seals vs. the entire windows, prompting me to inquire about obtaining a quote. The showroom also displayed doors, glass, screen and storm doors. I left my contact information to schedule a day for a quote for new front door and replacement glass. I was introduced to Sean, who listened to the issue with our rail, viewing my photos and discussing how we should install this new rail. Sean cut the new rail slightly larger than necessary, given our lack of precise measurements. Additionally, he suggested using silicone for the end cap, a practical solution. Meanwhile, my husband's attempt to reattach the rail using some sort of waterproof glue proved futile. I unexpectedly ran into Sean at our local grocery store where he generously offered his assistance. Despite the mishap with saving his number, my husband managed to secure the rail using waterproof silicone. Although the shower no longer leaked, the vinyl sweep remained a persistent issue, shifting with each door movement. This required me to adjust the vinyl sweep every few days. On March 26, Tim arrived to provide the quote. Tim shared he was the previous owner who sold the business and is now an employee. He spoke so highly of the employees and how much he enjoyed working with customers. Tim was very personable. I shared my assumption of needing a new front door due to the cold air that could be felt in entry way. Tim explained this was attributed to the architecture of our entryway where the heat rises rather than any fault with the door itself. His honesty was commendable as he could have sold us a door that was not needed. Upon examining the windows with failed seals, Tim showed me where each warranty sticker was located. He explained the warranty claim process and offered to come back to install once we received the replacement windows. I appreciated his genuineness. I did ask him to take a peek at our shower door. He said he would happily look at it. He said he knew was was needed and went to his car to get some tools. He trimmed the excess vinyl, securing it with screws on both ends, and fitted a new end cap. WOW!!! What amazing customer service and I only purchased a rail from them :). I want to thank Becky, Sean and Tim for being amazing and going above and beyond when we didn't make a major purchase. You have a customer for life. I would and will highly recommend Country Glass to all my friends and family.

Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

The good: our design consultant (sales person) was personable and friendly. Our assigned concierge…read morewas able to assist in most matters. The workmen sent out were hard workers and had our windows installed in a bit less than two full days. The windows look alright. The bad: our sales person went through the windows that were available to be installed in all the places we needed them. He painted a great picture of the modern styling of those windows that would make a positive change from what we had. He took measurements and took a 33% deposit from us. We told him it was our intent to pay the balance when due from a different source, our line of credit that was to be used for repairs and improvements on our home. He acknowledged that. We were then told that payment would be due after the inspector came out. He said the next person to come out would be a man who would take final measurements before the windows were ordered and built. When that next man came to our home, after taking measurements, he changed quite a few of the types, styles and consequently sizes of the windows we had spent time picking out with salesman. Nothing looked or promised to function the way we thought it would. We were told this was to keep the integrity of both windows and the home. We didn't know what to do but with the weather starting to get cooler and wanting to finish the installation before winter, we decided to move forward. Workmen came and as stated previously, work was completed on day 2. I asked the lead workman before they left if I was supposed to give him a check/pay him and he said, "No." He told me someone from the office would be in touch, probably the next day. I sent an email that evening asking our Concierge to let me know how I was to get a check for final payment to them and when the inspector would be coming out. The next morning, checking my email, I found that without paying any attention to the fact that we had told both the sales person and Concierge that our final payment would be in the form of a check from our line of credit account, they had taken an ACH payment from my checking account. I couldn't believe it! I called and got unsatisfactory reasoning as to why this happened and finally, a promise to try to correct it and a promise of a call back. Before any of that could happen, my husband transferred the payment amount into our checking account and I called back to let them know how we had handled it. I was then also informed that my town does not require an inspector to come out. That might have been good to know a bit earlier. Too much miscommunication throughout the entire project.
