The day we were to arrive we were told not all beds were made up, linens were supposed to be provided as per the contract. We also found out the beach area we enjoyed last year was off limits, the beach access was actually on the other side that they owned and to access it you have to duck under a low hanging willow tree and it's muddy. I text them when I found this out and asked them to call me and got ignored. The week was fine and after we left we got an email about 3 days later completely nit picking everything about our stay. They ended up charging us $300 for going over the number of renters allowed. Contract states north cottage 6, south cottage 8. We had 5 in north and 7 in south, 12 TOTAL, 4 of which were small children. They claim he made me a deal because of the number of renters. I rented both cottages for the purpose of having extended family. Tried calling and texting and again got ignored. His wife emailed but wanted to talk to him because I set this rental up with him not her. We were also charged for a board on the dock because the boat I rented pulled out a screw on the mooring whip. There was a charge to clean the grill down below because there was grease and they claimed it took a half hour to clean. Cleaning charge for south cottage. I feel like we went over both cottages pretty well and the place was ready to rent. We cleaned, wiped everything down and are pretty fussy ourselves. Would not go back.

We found this place through an…read moreonline deal, and, having never visited the wineries on Keuka Lake before, we thought we'd give it a try. I am so glad we did. The first thing I noticed when we arrived and Brenda showed us our room is how clean everything was. The amber walls and Americana decor were bright and inviting, the bathroom was absolutely spotless, and the shelves were stocked with little toiletries you could have easily forgotten to pack (e.g. Q-Tips!). Everywhere you looked were thoughtful little touches that told you this wasn't just a hotel; this was someone's home. The breakfasts amazed me. I've stayed at inns and B&Bs where you might get an apple or a pre-packaged muffin, but not here. The first day started with a fresh fruit cup, homemade chocolate chip banana muffins and cheese danish, coffee, OJ, and white grape peach juice. I thought that might be the extent of it, but then Brenda presented us with French toast (with homemade bread), sausage, and maple syrup that she and Gary made from the trees on their property. The second day was even better with light and crispy Belgian waffles and Brenda's homemade strawberry syrup. Honestly, this whole entry could be about the food, but I'd just encourage you to see for yourself. As for the location, I was worried it was a bit remote, but that was silly. You're literally minutes from so many great attractions. Drive down their road and turn right, and you'll be in Penn Yan (or one of the great breweries or wineries along the way) in no time; turn left and you'll be on the Keuka Wine trail headed to Hammondsport. There's so much to do, see, and taste, you're going to want more than a single weekend. And, if you're as lucky as we were, you'll have some great fellow travelers to chat with at breakfast as you compare notes about which places to stop at. In short, Brenda and Gary run a first rate establishment, and you should really find a way to treat yourself by staying there. Enjoy!

We can see why this is so popular in the winter. It's just simply perfect. I could picture being snowed in like in the movies and loving it. This is located on a nice road very easy to get to. Not far from the bustling downtown of Geneva. But far enough to be nestled in the country. We even got pizza delivery here which was an awesome surprise that the local pizzeria offers. We enjoyed the clean and wonderful hot tub. The interior had everything we could have needed and more. Thank you for the eggs and the coffee creamer! The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. For being a historic home everything had such nice charm and style. The bathroom was fully updated and the downstairs bedroom had the perfect vibe I'd love in my own home. Beautiful flowers galore. The host Diane was friendly via the app and self check in was a breeze. We were left alone and felt totally safe and comfortable. I'd love to come back with my husband for a get away. This is a great place, highly recommend. Note though... when trying to locate it. Our gps took us up the hill along the backside of the owners house.. this was a dirt pathway - not the right way. The sign was deceiving. The cottage is directly next to the house, right off the paved road. Bonus points to the host for having the awesome array of dvds and games. This was so fun for us girls.

Lots of dry wood to burn. Recommend that you bring a bit of your own firewood just to keep the supply up as well as a bit of spring water if you're gonna cook / drink a lot and stay in.

A loft style bedroom and suspended rope net to relax on made up the top floor. A cozy master and highly appointed bathroom are located on the main floor with a steam shower. Two of the breakfasts I had called for Syrup and we got to have some fresh Maple Syrup that was produced from trees on the grounds. Delicious! The rooms feel like they're taken out of the 19th century (in a good way). The decor is nice. The bed was comfortable. There is electricity and air conditioning/heat. No TVs in the room, but I was told they have a recreation room in the barn that has a TV and games. I didn't get a chance to check it out. WiFi is available, but I didn't use it (it was a getaway!). I also had Verizon service in the BnB and in most of the surrounding area. The surrounding area is wide and spread out. Its quiet, peaceful, and scenic. You may have to drive a few minutes to get to places, but I never minded. Rolling mountains with trees as far as the eye can see.

They were so pleasant and easy to work with and they helped us out tremendously! The rooms were clean and well stocked. It was a comfortable space and close to everywhere we needed to be yet secluded and private and quiet! The quiet was amazing! Jacuzzi tub was clean. I cleaned it myself before use and was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The bed wasn't the best for my back but it was clean and I really can't complain about that. Would definitely book here again!!!
