Kathe and Doug have created a very hospitable environment in their wonderful 18th-century house. Everything was fine - the room, the food, the hospitality, the location, the dogs. I will definitely try to stay here again when I'm back in the area. Each of the small towns within a 15-20 minute drive has restaurants and sights to see. Both Syracuse and Rochester airports are nearby (about 1 hour by car). read more

What an excellent stay!!! I booked The Lodge suite and was expecting something nice with some rustic furnishings and have to say my expectations were exceeded ten fold. This room screamed elegance but with rustic charm. I have stayed in several bed and breakfasts and the Yorkshire Inn has got to be one of the best. I have to be honest and say the location left a bit to be desired but once inside it didn't matter. The bed was very comfortable, the hostess/owner couldn't have been friendlier. Did I mention the breakfast???? In a word....AMAZING!!! An egg casserole was prepared with all of the fixin's. As well as a variety of juices. I unfortunately am on a diet and couldn't enjoy the glazed fruit or the homemade pumpkin cinnamon rolls which looked incredible and I'm kinda sorry I didn't cheat on my diet and have one but I have no doubt I will be returning. read more

The guy on the phone seemed nice enough, and this is a review not on the stay but why we would never stay there because of a "policy". Charging $30 per dog for one night, I can understand, still pricey but understandable even though there is a dog that lives here. Charging $30 for our 2 year old is ridiculous. We simply wanted a nice night to stay traveling from Maine to Minnesota in a minivan pulling a pop up with 2 dogs, a toddler and a 2 month old. I wouldn't stay here if it were just my wife and I on the simple fact they charge for a 2 year old. That may be "your policy". This is my review of that policy. read more

We found this place on Hotels.Com and decided to give it a shot for 2-night stay on July 4th weekend with 3 adults + our 2 yr old daughter. The owner Kathy called me right away to discuss our needs and dietary restrictions and was very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Rose room which has 1 queen size bed and 2 twin beds plus 2 pull-outs fits 6 people total. The room rate is for 2 people, for each additional person there's $30/night charge. The inn is very welcoming and spacious with open deck and fire pit outside for the guests. Inside, all the rooms are on the 1st floor plus TV room and game room, dinning room and kitchen. There are complimentary coffee, water, & soda for the guests and the breakfast menu changes daily. While we were there, we had waffles & fruit one day and fratatas and yogurt with fruit the other. absolutely delicious. We've not stayed in B&B in the States, but this is the way to go. I recommend this place & will definitely go back. The owners have 2 dogs that are very well behaved. Don't have to worry about noise, super quiet. read more

This B&B is very charming. We stayed in the Blue Room and it was perfect for the two of us. Doug is an excellent cook and did not disappoint with breakfast. Their two dogs are very friendly, so if you don't like dogs, this is not your place. I would stay here again. read more
