    Elegant table setting for breakfast.

Warm hospitality and delicious breakfasts! This is our home base when we visit Hobart and William Smith Colleges - our SECOND STAY AT THE GRIDLEY! Our one week stay was very comfortable. We enjoyed meeting the other guests over delicious breakfasts that were meticulously prepared by Chef Maddy. These included fresh home made berry preserves, home made cherry crepes, French toast with home made raisin bread, sous vide eggs Benedict, and many others! We ended each day having great casual conversation with Stephanie in the beautiful living room. We look forward to our next visit! Here's my first review in April 2017: Gourmet breakfast! Quiet bed & breakfast in Geneva, close to Hobart William & Smith Colleges (15 minute drive). Owners, Stephani and Madison made us feel at home when my daughter and I came for a college visit. Madison prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast each day. This morning, she prepared delicious sous-vide eggs topped with a garlic herb cheese, salmon, and capers, along with thick slab bacon and tomato. The meal was preceded by a yogurt granola and pineapple starter, topped with cream, and a delicious pastry. So, if you're looking for someplace quiet and out of the ordinary, in a historic home, with excellent food, and friendly hostesses, this is it! Our bedroom was super quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We can see why this is so popular in the winter. It's just simply perfect. I could picture being snowed in like in the movies and loving it. This is located on a nice road very easy to get to. Not far from the bustling downtown of Geneva. But far enough to be nestled in the country. We even got pizza delivery here which was an awesome surprise that the local pizzeria offers. We enjoyed the clean and wonderful hot tub. The interior had everything we could have needed and more. Thank you for the eggs and the coffee creamer! The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. For being a historic home everything had such nice charm and style. The bathroom was fully updated and the downstairs bedroom had the perfect vibe I'd love in my own home. Beautiful flowers galore. The host Diane was friendly via the app and self check in was a breeze. We were left alone and felt totally safe and comfortable. I'd love to come back with my husband for a get away. This is a great place, highly recommend. Note though... when trying to locate it. Our gps took us up the hill along the backside of the owners house.. this was a dirt pathway - not the right way. The sign was deceiving. The cottage is directly next to the house, right off the paved road. Bonus points to the host for having the awesome array of dvds and games. This was so fun for us girls.

The owners are kind and nice. You may get a fun visit from a black cat named Salem (loves milk and pets). The fireplace was my favorite. I sat and drank beer in front if it and did some coding and was totally lovely. It has a little warming nook and a rack to hang a dutch oven over the fire if you really want to go old school and cook on it. Just as lively was multiple champagne drinking sessions in the hot-tub. Lots of dry wood to burn. Recommend that you bring a bit of your own firewood just to keep the supply up as well as a bit of spring water if you're gonna cook / drink a lot and stay in.

We purchased the wine and dine package - staying three nights and doing two days of wine tours with the man in the van. It was spectacular. Wine tours- were a great experience . We saw 6-7 vineyards each day and did the east side of the lake one day and the west the other! Dario, our driver, was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable about the wine and the region! You won't be dissapointed if you book your tours with him! Food- the breakfast at this B&B was out of this world - all made to order unique menu choices!! And then there is the 9 course tapas meal on Saturday night. Chef Andy really out did himself with an international culinary adventure ! In addition to the food at the inn Rossana will give you great recommendations for community restaurants. Inn- very clean and comfortable ! Wine and dine package - highly recommended! Rossana uses this package to spoil her guests with nice surprises through your stay. Owners- Rossana and Andy are such lovely people! We greatly enjoyed chatting with them and their wonderful family! Andrew is a bit bewildered why nobody orders his huevos rancheros (I wish I had), so give it a try when you are there. You can have it straight up or in an omelet. Andrew and Rossana offer an excellent tapas dinner on Saturday night, which is not only a great value but extraordinary in its depth and complexity. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. We will be back.
