They are one of the few wineries that also serve food, so its a great place to grab lunch. The sandwiches we got were amazing (the Brooklyn and the Cuban). I would give the deli and bakery a 5/5. The attached winery was okay. They only do tastings at the bar, not at the table (at least when we were there). It was pretty empty.

We were fortunate to have Keith as our…read moreserver, and he may have been one of the most remarkable people I've met in quite some time. His deep knowledge and passion shone through as he shared the rich history of the winery. The owners originally purchased land in Bucks County for farming but later moved to the Finger Lakes region, where they expanded into winemaking, a bakery, and a deli--a true craft-driven endeavor. Tabora was offering a special deal: buy one tasting flight, get the second free. Normally, I gravitate toward the drier the better, but the Winemaker's Jam caught my eye. My flight included: 1. 2021 Pinot Noir 2. 2021 Cabernet Franc 3. N.V. Heritage Noir 4. 2021 Maréchal Foch I started with the Pinot Noir, a light-bodied wine with aromas of cherry blossoms, strawberries, and dried fruit--absolutely sensational. Keith explained that all of Tabora's wines age in used French oak barrels but never for more than 18 months. Instead of prolonged oak aging, they transition the wine to stainless steel, preserving freshness while imparting just a touch of oak influence. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had soft tannins, a light body, and notes of raspberry and green bell pepper, with a slight oak finish--and wow, it was good. Then came my hands-down favorite: the Heritage Noir, a blend of different wines that was dry yet bursting with layered fruit flavors. It was truly an incredible experience on the palate. Finally, I sampled the Maréchal Foch, a sensational, jammy wine with hints of blackberry and pomegranate and a beautifully smooth finish. But Keith wasn't done yet--he had me try a few more, including an unoaked Cabernet Franc, which became another favorite. Aged 100% in stainless steel, it was bright with red fruit, hints of cherry, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Beyond the wines, Keith himself was a standout. As we sipped, he shared his life journey--from New York to Hawaii, a path shaped by his mother and sister. His stories were captivating, and if he ever writes a book, I'd be the first in line to read it. Cheers to Keith and Tabora for an unforgettable experience! #fingerlakes

The indoor seating area was closed, but we were able to be seated outdoors right away. The view was mostly an open field looking out to the lake with the vines closer to the seating area. My friends and I ordered the Riesling Flight because it was highly recommended. I found it interesting that our wines were presented in science beakers. Definitely unique! The wines in the flight were pretty good, but there wasn't very much difference in flavor between each wine. We got to keep our wine glasses and I still use mine when I have a glass of wine at home! Our server was a bit overwhelmed and did take a bit of time to circle back to our table when we needed something, but we still enjoyed our experience.

I got "The Road Less Travelled" flight and enjoyed every single tasting which almost never happens. JoEllen was so kind and helpful during our entire tasting. I appreciated that she brought all six samples out at once. She made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time! The patio seating was also beautiful. I wouldn't have minded sitting indoors either--such a clean, comfortable, and elegant atmosphere! I ended up purchasing four bottles. I highly recommend the 2015 Reserve Chardonnay, 2017 Gewurztraminer (limited production release), and 2018 Seyval Blanc. I'm so glad they ship because I'll be ordering from them soon!

That's what the feel is from this cafe... it's somewhere my grandparents would like. It's convenient and inexpensive. I appreciate the casual nature of being able to seat myself, and the initially prompt attention. I'm not going to complain about having a coffee at my table within 2 minutes of sitting down... ... but was it a great overall experience? No. The food is fine. When I originally ordered my 'garbage omelet' (it includes ham, peppers, onions, sausage, cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms inside it) and rye toast, I was ALSO going to order a side of bacon... but the server decided my order was done after I said "rye" for the toast on the side of my plate. She left the table before I could even get "and could I get a side of bacon?" out. Next thing you know, I have a receipt on my table for breakfast. (As far as the omelet goes, it was "meh"... a plain 'ol middle of the road omelet.) The one time she came to check on me after already leaving the receipt, I actually said "Could I also please get a side of bacon?" ... and guess what? Never got my bacon. The server completely forgot... and never checked on me again. The only thing I can think is that the server didn't want to interrupt me because I was also reading a book at the table (again, waiting for someone to get out of an appointment - and I didn't want to completely drain the battery on my phone), but I have no idea. Either way, she forgot my bacon... and I would have loved a coffee refill at some point too. :-/ TL;DR Looking for cheap food? This is your place. I paid $15.15 for a coffee, sizeable omelet w. rye toast, and tip. If you're looking for anything especially interesting or memorable though? Not so much. I said it above and I'll say it again: it's convenient if you're around Dundee for something (as opposed to driving to Watkins Glen, Geneva, or other surrounding areas) and inexpensive.

This a quaint restaurant and fills up for weekend evenings fast due to the amazing quality of the food being served. Our party of 4 dined on a night they had Jazz on the patio and enjoyed an amazing view of the sun setting over the lake.   We started our meal with a sampling of three of their spreads accompanied by their home made basket of bread! On this visit we tried the following meals; Farmers plate (smoked pork chop topped with pork belly, knackwurst, sauerkraut and knodel), the Wiener Schnitzel with red cabbage and spatzle, and the roasted pork! Everything was absolutely delicious!   Even though we were full from dinner, we had to try their desserts and sampled the strudel and torte.   One thing we all commented on was we were never rushed during our visit. We were made to feel like we could take our time, relax, and just enjoy our visit.   I highly recommend Dano's if you are in the Finger Lake region.

Seemed like they are understaffed or not use to being full on a Saturday night.
