I'm from NC in town with my job and maybe the mall location is not the best but I was almost afraid to eat my slice! Have always loved Regina and Polcari's. I've gotten from the one at the Burlington Mall for years and never had an issue. My wife and I ordered 2 pizzas last night - Meatball Pomodoro Fresco and Spinaci, Broccoli E Pomodoro and both were terrible. They were covered in excess flower and the crust was extremely doughy and severely undercooked. While there were a lot of toppings on each they were flavorless and seemed to be lacking in sauce and cheese. The cheese that was there congealed almost immediately. We never post negative reviews but couldn't find a single redeeming quality especially when each pizza cost $25+, so factoring in delivery we spent over $60 and threw the rest away. With so many other pizza options nearby we'll likely think twice before ordering Regina again which is a shame. read more

As far as mid-mall snacking goes, this pizza's okay. Just okay. It's also really apparent from the first bite that this stuff screams "food court pizza". I'm sure the local elementary school kids must be thrilled this place exists. Sometimes you'll hear folks around here complain about other chain franchises charging too much for a whole pie. But the thing is...that's all pretty subjective when you consider the source of such complaints. For example, it costs approximately 15ish dollars to purchase a large cheese pizza from Papa Gino's. At Regina, you spend anywhere between 7 to 9 dollars for a two slice combo, depending on whether you get a fountain drink or "upsize it" (whatever that means) for a bottled drink which....suspiciously has the same quantity of liquid, give or take a few ounces. So, the question to ask yourself is, "Self, is this worth it? Would you work it? Put your thing down, flip it and rev-" ...okay, I'mma stop with the dad jokes now. Bottom line is this: the pizza's alright, but the crust doesn't quite remind me of brick oven. I mean, it probably is (or was). Except this pizza is very obviously reheated upon order. That's how you get all those lovely display pizzas behind the glass case to entice would-be customers. It's kind of like taking a large cheese from your favorite pizza parlor, holding onto it for a day, then reheating it inside your toaster oven for consumption. Not to mention the crust resembled something of floury cardboard. I give it a 6 out of 10. It may seem a bit harsh. But, c'mon, fellas! This is pizza. It should be a slam dunk to get right. Had not been there for at least a year and we used to love it. Went today, ordered cheese pizza. Cook seemed new. The pizza was different than int the past. Sauce not the same, a rather different. taste that lingered badly in our mouth for at least an hour after finishing. They either changed outfit making their sauce or cheapened it to save money . Not going back after going there occasionally for years. Not the same pizza we loved. Sauce a bit more acid and not quite as sweet. read more

This place kind of blends in with Burlington Mall in the food court but it has a secret recipe that makes my flavor buds jump with excitement. Ok then... didn't everyone go here because their slice of pizza was 1/4 a pizza. Yes! BUT not anymore! The wife and I got 2 slices of pizza and they were 1/8 of a pizza each; normal sized slices. Best pizza in the area! I love the pizza here but getting in and out of the mall area can get cumbersome with construction and business traffic. On the bright side, there are designated parking spots for Pizzera Regina for pick up. Once you arrive, the employees can see you through the camera and bring your order down. How they know it's you , I'm not sure. All the pizzas area great. I like to stay basic and do less toppings. I find the more toppings that are added, the heavier and soggier the pizza gets. My favorite is ricotta, chicken, spinach, garlic and prosciutto. Prices is higher than your average local mom and pops or other chain restaurants but i'ts worth it. read more

Once upon a time I was a mallrat. Yeah, as irony would have it, I was at the height of my mallrating around the time the K. Smith dropped "Mallrats". However, I wasn't quite cool enough to know that the movie with the magic eye poster was right up my alley (and would become one of my favorites a few years later). This all makes sense when you consider that I was a mallrat in the first place....I digress. Mallrats, like any animal, need sustenance. Pizza is a preferred food for mallrats because it is cheap, quick, and delectable. As others have said (because you can't ignore it), this particular location of Reginas is stuck in the food court. While this isn't normally a beacon of fine dining, one cannot be so prejudiced to say that food courts must serve crap. This Reginas, like the location in the mecca of Italian food, the North End, serves top notch pizza. Period. My parent's house is only an eight minute drive from here, so we often brought it back to the casa just like you would pick up any quality pie (however the addition of "The Upper Crust" in Lexington Center has given them some much needed competition). I used to come here back in the day when it occupied its own store-space on the first floor of the Burlington Mall. When I think of Boston pizza, I still think of this place...not just for sentimental reasons though, for the pizza itself is very good. While its now moved up to the food court (can't say I've ever equated a food court with quality), the quality and taste have not changed. We had the kids meal. I guess it tasted ok because my son didn't complain. The kids meal comes with 2 slices, milk or apple juice and applesauce. We wanted to have a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese with the kids meal. The server said that I'd have to pay for another kids meal or had to have one or the other. That seemed silly so we just settled for the cheese. It was so hot, too hot for a kids meal. The pizza was steaming and cheese looked liquified. After we let it cool he ate most of it with no complaints. Most kids love pizza no matter what. I'm generally not a big pizza fan so not the best judge, but I've seen and smelled better pizza. Slices at the mall were good. Takeout whole pizzas brought to your vehicle (according to my wife) were good. I was reluctant to get takeout after reading another review, but instead am left with a good impression. The crust, sauce and cheese are excellent in the right proportions. Toppings are generous and flavorful. The only problem for me is how to get them closer to my home. Regina and Ernesto (Assembly Sq and North End) are my top pizza picks in the Boston area. This place either has great pizza or terrible pizza. Out of my past 5 visits. 1 terrible 3 okay and 1 great. The terrible one was cold and just tasted like it had been out for a while. If you want good pizza from the mall, go during lunch! The people working are usually very nice and will promptly get you out of there. Also I find this place a bit expensive. 7/8 dollars for 2 pieces of pizza and a drink. Other smaller and local pizza shops do that for a buck or two less. Good stuff here if you cant wait. I have gone several more times because they are the closest place to me that has some thickness to their pizza. It is really good stuff. IF YOU DO GO, MAKE SURE ITS NEAR LUNCH HOUR OR DINNER TIME. otherwise it tastes weird. They will heat it up, sometimes only for a minute which isnt enough or other times for a few minutes and its okay.
