Other dumpsters would have had to be placed where it would block my driveway, due to overhead wires, but when Chuck-It delivered my dumpster was delivered, they backed up my narrow, 150ft driveway into position with no issues at all. I took a 3 piece bathroom and walk-in closet down to studs (120sq ft total), and it was almost exactly the right size. I filled that thing -- I mean REALLY filled it, with cast iron pipe, plaster board, plywood, framing, tile, glass -- all manner of heavy stuff, and I was within the weight limit. I can't imagine what it'd take to be heavy enough to get charged extra. For my next renovation, I'll be using Chuck-It again.

The video would go out periodically, but the audio was still there. The picture would return if I knocked on the front of the unit, but it was happening more often. There's a $30 diagnostic fee up front, which I understand. Said he would call me this afternoon. They called around 4:00 PM the same day to tell me it was fixed. I guess I had expected an estimate, but I also knew it was probably a minor repair. The total was $63, minus the $30 diagnostic fee. The TV works just like new! I had been afraid I might have to buy a new TV, but they fixed mine in a matter of hours. I might have been frustrated if the repair price had been higher without my authorization, but in my case, I was pleased with the outcome. A new TV would probably be at LEAST three times that price, and mine fits on our bookshelf perfectly, and the new ones are shaped differently. I've had other TV's repaired here in the past, so this is usually my first stop before I buy a new TV. He also sells used/refurbished TV's, DVD players, stereos, etc...

So we called around to find a trash hauler, but most were commercial grade with a minimum size really more suited for a construction site, than for a residential property. We found this company after a long search, and made an appointment, but then they wanted to reschedule because of severe storms. They were worried about trampling mud in the house. (Odd when told them twice 90% was in the garage?) I guess they were trying to be considerate. Two days later, the truck arrived 17 minutes late, and they got to work. The large appliances went first, then the carpet and finally the boxes with junk. The truck looked too big when it first arrived, but our stuff nearly filled it! And best of all, it took less than 30 minutes to do. Then I got the bill... I anticipated $150-285 based on a verbal estimate, but it actually totaled $429 and change ...OMG! I shared with them that figure wasn't even remotely close to the one given over the phone, which the driver promptly deflected. (They even argued with me the different costs associated with each fill percentage.) I then tied to negotiate, but only succeeded in reducing it $29. (I was afraid if I pushed the issue, the load would be dumped, so I capitulated.) The bill amount, the dissension, and the reschedule (because my area didn't get much rainfall), plus being late are the reasons why they are receiving a two star rating. I guess I am old school where your word is your bond, but apparently this value no longer exists today. My wife and I are pleased the garage is now empty, but NOT pleased about the cost, especially when the recycling plant is just 10 minutes down the road and charges $25/ ton. We will not use them again.
