It's a decent movie theater in the heart of a city but your paying too much. I have friends that will only come to the Regal because it has assigned seating and fully reclining chairs. Great features don't get me wrong. The bathrooms are in a weird middle level of the theater which are super inconvenient to get to, so don't buy the big soda. The first time I asked where the restrooms are and the attend told the long way, despite a faster way 10 ft from us. On my second visit the closest stairs to the bathroom from my theater were roped off, so long way again. The theaters are on the small size but most seats are a good seat. Skip the 4DX shows, the experience isn't worth the $27 ticket price. I saw Mission Impossible here just to get the full 4DX experience and I was quickly bored. Yes the seats move a little, shake, shoot air and make you feel a punch but the seat is uncomfortable to sit in and are the wrong size for anyone outside Average Height. Save your money. The food is ok. They have 2 concession stand go to your theater level. I haven't had their premium food but that's because it looks like boring food items. The food in the premium menu is stuff I would see on the regular menu at a Lowes I used to visit. read more

Parking was horrible, the escalator was broken so with my injured knee had to use the stairs which was pretty darn painful, on the first floor entrance area staff members were tearing apart boxes right smack in the middle of the area so you literally had to squeeze past them. Got to the concessions stand bought a large drink and popcorn only to realise after paying that they literally ran out of Pepsi flavouring( the sole reason why I freaking bought a large drink was for Pepsi). I would have really liked to know before had if they had drinks that ran out. I was told to wait for my pretzel which I did and got given my pretzel pretty quick which I'm thankful for. The food here is absolutely delicious, scrumptious, and outright amazing, they ought to turn this place into a restaurant. It's crazy how good the food is here at this movie theater, the kitchen crew has turned my entire idea about this place around. Whoever is working that fryer in the kitchen has obtained a level of mastery over the fryer that puts a lot actual restaurants to shame. I can't get over how perfectly cooked this food is, the person in the kitchen has got to be an absolute boss at their job. A group of friends and I came in here Saturday night to watch Blade Runner 2049. We swung in before dinner to get tickets and I am glad we did! The theater we ended up in was on the smaller side with limited seating. The only option to sit 5 people in a row, was the front row. So we opted a few rows back with 3 in front, 2 in back. Which worked out great. Parking: We parked in the same building as the theater for Saturday night/weekend rate, it was $8 flat. Buying tickets: We had Costco vouchers, so we had to wait in line. But if you were paying with credit card, you could use the electronic kiosk. There was only one cashier working the ticket register, so we had to wait a lil. Snack bar: we got the usual popcorn, drink, soft pretzel, candy, and DIBS. Typical theater prices. Cody did have a regal rewards account, and we got a free small popcorn because of it though! Butter is self serve. Wish I could get the butter towards the middle of the popcorn, and not just the top! Seating/theater: We had big comfy reclining seats with tables that hover over your lap. The chairs were awesome. They were electric and almost laid flat. Definitely easy to fall asleep in lol. My friend Paul was sitting behind me and said he saw a mouse scurrying around... yeah I am glad I didn't notice, I would've been super distracted from the movie. Good thing my feet were propped up on the reclining seat! This theater has an unnecessary amount of stairs and kinda confusing. The worst part is, when I asked for a refund they told me it was not possible but I was able to get a certificate to another movie. I spent over $300 on these tickets. This is my local neighborhood theater and I really enjoy it. My partner and I go here often. I have to say I have been really impressed! They recently remodeled a lot of the theaters so that they have new, reclining comfortable seating. The seating is assigned now as well, which is AWESOME! Before the renovation, it was a disaster. You can now pick out your seats and sit wherever is comfortable for you. I almost fall asleep in the chairs every time. The customer service is great and I hardly ever wait a long time for concessions. The sound and the view in the theaters are great as well. While the floor plan can be confusing, as the building is built up, not out, you will figure it out and the staff is very willing to help. The concessions are a little over priced, but they have fresh popcorn and some interesting menu items. If you are looking for a good movie night, this is a great place to go. I enjoy it every time and it is a nice theater! This place is MUCH better than Cinerama. I mean who the he'll shows one movie at a time? I'm surprised they are still in business! read more

Purchased tix for new James Bond movie for me and my son (4:30pm, 10-8-21). Watched about 45 minutes of the movie when I got a text from a family member. It was a family emergency and me and my son had to leave about halfway through the movie. I called back today (10-9) to talk to the manager about possibly allowing me and my son to come back and finish watching the movie. It's not like I was trying to scam anyone, I had the email confirmation from Fandango from the day before, for the 4:30 show, and was willing to show it upon request. When I finally talked to the manager of the theater, she said "it's against our policy to do that" ...I mean, I guess that's cool and all, but I would think it wouldn't hurt anyone to allow me and my son in a theater to finish watching a movie we paid over $35 in tix for (+ 25 in snacks). Gonna chalk this one up as an opportunity to demonstrate good customer service gone bad. Definitely not going to this theater again. I would advise y'all do the same. ‍ read more

I don't write reviews often but this one is worth it! I should note I am disabled because it pertains to this review....But to begin, I arrived at the theater for the first time today to see a showing of the Little Mermaid. I bought my ticket online with no issue. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who directed me to the elevators and made sure I knew where everything was located before I left. When I arrived upstairs I received 5 star service! Mauricio greeted me and got me everything I needed and was very friendly. Afterwards I could not carry my snacks and wheel myself to my seat! He offered to help me to my seat and said "everybody needs a little held sometimes" plus the seats were clean comfortable and the screen was crisp and clear. read more

This theater is for sure really nice, but there are some issues that brings it down to a 3 star rating in my opinion. They recently renovated this theater early last year, and it has been a huge upgrade. New reclining seats, wood floors, a bar area, and hot food at the concession stand. Before they remodeled, they had wooden arm rests, hard seats, carpet, and the typical movie theater concession options. After they renovated, I started going to this theater more frequently. There's only one line for assistance at the box office. Other than that, there are roughly 5-6 self serve kiosks lined up. Overall, it's a 3 story building and half of the theaters are spilt into 2 floors. The main concession stand with a bar is located on the 2nd floor, and the bathrooms are tucked away in this awkward middle area between the 2nd and 3rd floor. What's unique about this theater, is that they have 4DX. I believe that there are less than 100 theaters in the United States that have 4DX. Depending on what time you go, it can range up from $22-$25 per adult ticket. It's really pricey, and I don't believe that the price is worth it. It's fun to experience it once, but I wouldn't watch every movie in 4DX. I was lucky that T-Mobile would randomly offer $4 movie tickets as part of their T-Mobile Tuesday deals, so I was able to experience 4DX for only $4. Unfortunately since Regal came out with their own subscription service, they're no longer on Atom (a ticket purchasing platform). Reason for the 3 star rating: There's no free parking at all, you have to pay to park in a parking garage that's located all around the theater. The garage located next to Gameworks, literally had a sign saying that car break-ins happen frequently there. They even had screenshots from camera footage of the regular known culprits. Lol. I never had my car broken into at that garage, but beware! There's free street parking after 8, so I usually park on 6th Avenue next to Nike. There are tons of panhandlers and guys trying to sell you their mixtape loitering around outside of the theater. One time, I had just gotten out of the last showing for a movie. I was waiting in the lobby for my Uber, when an employee forced me out. I had asked him if I could wait inside, due to me feeling unsafe with it being late at night. He responded with "Nope. We're closed. You gotta go." My Uber was only 3 minutes away, and he wouldn't even let me wait inside. As soon as I stepped outside of the building, a panhandler approached me. The employee just stared at us, ensured that the door was locked, and walked away. Clearly customer service isn't their first priority here. One time, I had ordered a sandwich that came with fries. I ordered waffle fries, but was given crinkle cut instead. I went back to the concession stand to inform them about their mistake, and the employee informed me that the crinkle cut fries are their new waffle fries. Uhh, okay? I just accepted it and moved on. The next time I went there to watch a movie, I ordered the same thing. When I looked at my fries, they were actually waffle fries this time. I don't know if the employee lied to me the last time, but I'm glad that they brought back their waffle fries. Overall, it's the nicest theater in the area. The AMC at Pacific Place sucks compared to this Regal. Tickets here are pricer compared to other theaters since it's newly remodeled. A nighttime ticket costs $16 for an adult and $13 for a child. read more

The bar drinks are horrible. If you ask for a mix drink please be careful. I had a really bad experience with a drink that I requested, the lady bartender looked new and she didn't know what she was doing. I was like no big deal I'll try anyway. What in the world is 4D? Well, I found tonight while watching the new movie Alita. In this theater, 4D film or 4-D film is a marketing term for an entertainment presentation system combining a 3D film with physical effects that occur in the theatre in synchronization with the film. Effects simulated in a 4D film may include rain, wind, temperature changes, strobe lights, and vibration. (Definition required from the internet) I would not been able to explain to you otherwise. Okay...my hubby and I were discussing it and we decided we are just too old for this kind of theater. We were both over simulated by all the movement, wind, lights on the walls. The cost: $25/pp. This is too much. But we were the crazies that paid it. Was it worth it? Probably. Would I pay it again? No. I almost dropped my popcorn twice. Now that's unacceptable. My recommendation is...go, it's a great experience but if you get car sickness...prepare yourself. read more

Alright I can't imagine a better experience at a movie theater after tonight. Reclining seats, upgraded food, and a FULL BAR that you can bring to your seat. The tickets are a bit expensive compared to other theaters but I have the Regal Unlimited so this place is perfect. Parking is a nightmare but the light rail and multiple buses are super close and if you are taking a ride share it's right off I-5. I did the 4DX ocne and wow I HATE IT. Definitely learn about what it is before you buy an expensive ticket for it, otherwise stick to a traditional showing. read more

We decided to see Zootopia here with our kids to waste some time before hopping on the plane to go home. This place was on the way to the airport so we decided to watch the movie here. The movie theatre is a bit small compared to many others we've been to. There were tons of stairs which was hard for my little ones to walk up. The escalator didn't work for one of the sections of the floors and bathrooms required you taking backway stairs downstairs. Which made it really hard for my little one to hold it in when she's only 2 years old and has to go down a flight of stairs just to use the restroom. Restroom wasn't that clean. The movie theatre got pretty packed and since it wasn't stadium seating, my kids had a harder time watching the movie since taller people were sitting in front of them. They need to do some updates to this place. read more

Its not a bad theatre, I come here once in a while to check out a movie that may not be at other theatres. Location is great for me, up the street from my bus line, and the times I've been here, it hasnt been super busy. It's definitely an older theatre, no stadium seating( in the theatres I've been in) seats are a litte uncomfortable, not always the cleanest but whatever just brush it off with your hand. Tri-Level set up where you buy tickets on the ground floor, go up a set of escalators to 2nd or 3rd floor where your theatre is at. Both 2nd & 3rd floors have a concession area too. Food options aren't bad as they have a bit more of a selection than just candy, popcorn & soda. For $18 bucks or so, you can get a combo deal with 2 gigantic sodas and a large popcorn bucket. It was so ridiculous in size but absolutely hilarious! Bathrooms are a bit odd where you have to go down some stairs etc, just follow the signs. They are now checking bags before you enter the theatre so dont be bringing anything illegal in there. They are doing more walk throughs as well so just accept it as its for everyone's well being. Overall, its a pretty decent theatre, staff has always been friendly, so Ill just keep coming back whenever. read more

Whenever a new movie opens up that I want to see downtown, my preference is that it is playing at Pacific Place or the Cinerama instead of at the Meridian. There are more screens at the Meridian, but the layout and condition of the Pacific Place and Cinerama is better. Not to mention that they have better seating and concession stands. This is not to say Meridian is worth avoiding. Since there are so many screens, if you missed out on the opening of a movie, this would be the best place to catch films that have been in release for a while. Otherwise, wait a few weeks and head south or north to the discount movie theatres in the area. The movie complex is three levels. Ticketing on the first floor and movie theatres on the second and third floors. The floor you need to head up depends on the auditorium number that your film is playing in. Having watched a number of movies in this complex over the years, your experience will vary depending on the screen. Though for the smaller screens, expect the experience to be a bit less pleasant due to the lack of stadium seating and there being less seats, which means more difficulty in getting your ideal seat. The facility is functional, but feels a little old. The restrooms are not in a very convenient location. If you are on the second floor, you have to walk up a staircase to get to them. Noticed some minor graffiti in the men's bathroom too. Meridian is not a bad theatre, but I feel it sacrificed comfort in the name of dollars. More screens means more films, but I think 16 is a bit too many given that there are the Cinerama and Pacific Place theatres nearby. read more

I got stuck two deep in line at concessions behind an elderly woman who couldn't manage the rewards app (happens to the best of us). I'll admit I lost my patience when she left the line to find her son, only to return to cut me in line..and then start an argument with said son about whether she'd told him why she needed his help instead of ordering her dang popcorn. Who I assume was a manager kindly opened a second register so I could make it to my movie just in time for the last preview to end, and the regular counter person was doing a remarkable job of keeping cool with helping the elderly woman. Awful theater. I usually go to the AMC but I came here because I had a free ticket that I forgot to use. Free ticket or pay, I will not come back. The most uncomfortable, complicated experience I've had in awhile watching a movie. Yes, my ticket was free, but I had such a tough time that I was wishing that I had paid to see the movie at another theater, and glad that I didn't pay a thing to go there. I guess they are in the middle of renovations which is understandable, but they could have put up a sign or something to warn people. If you are into saving a buck and sneaking less expensive treats in, you can't do that here. They check your bags before they let you in. The seating is also assigned. When you pay, they give you seat unless you request a different one. This place is like a freaking maze. I honestly felt like I was on a tour of the Winchester Mystery House while trying to find the bathroom. There are several sets of stairs going every, which way. I and everyone else was confused about which flight to take to get anywhere. The bathrooms are in the mezzanine which is at the top of some set of stairs, if I can remember correctly. I was exhausted by the time I got to the toilet. The seats recline and they are all placed on the floor, meaning no stadium seating. I was somewhat still uncomfortable in the chairs and was annoyed cause some kids kept playing with them, going back n fourth. I really hope the audio is apart of the renovation because it was horrible. You can get better sound at home. The movie sounded the way movies do when you go to the 2 dollar movie. Throughout the renovation, there are all kinds of things laying around. It just looks so trashy. I might return after the renovation to see what improvements they have made, but until then, its a hell no for me. read more

Updated review based on their remodel. This is now my go to theater! The seats are incredibly comfortable. They are like sitting in a lazy boy with reclining functionality. They seats even have a swivel tray that you can put your snacks on. I love that this theater only has like 25 or less seats per screen. That makes it much more enjoyable, less packed, and less ghetto people to ruin your movie. It's reserved seating so make sure you plan ahead so your not sitting in the front row breaking your neck. read more

The Meridian 16 theater was once of my least favorite in the area because it hadn't aged all that well. That is no longer the case now since they have been doing a phased remodel of the theater. They have replaced the old standard seats with leather recliners and a 4DX theater! Currently they are working on the hallways and, I assume, carpeting. Along with the remodel, they went with assigned seating which I really like. So it takes a little planning if you want a good seat! Since I have MoviePass, I have to watch standard definition movies. EVEN STEVEN PRICING RETURNS!? On January 19, 2020, I came here with a friend to see the movie "Ford v Ferrari". Tickets were an "even Steven" $12.50 with one dollar discounted for senior discount(reg. $13.50 adult matinee price). Are they at long last starting to abandon this greedy policy of charging "odd pennies"(tax not included) price, which slows down the theater lines for those of us who still pay in cash. Apparently most people pay with credit cards, gift cards, or buy tickets online in advance(Fandango.com, etc.). For them, odd penny pricing would not matter. ABANDON ODD PENNIES ABOMINATION! According to the ticket seller, not all of the Regal Cinemas have abandoned that abominable policy yet. It was one major reason why I all but quit attending theaters. Years ago, they foisted that odd pennies crap on us, but abandoned it. And then a few years ago, they went back to it. That just simply frosted me! ASS-IGNED SEATING ASS-ININE! Another reason I quit going is assigned seating, in which EVERYBODY in the theater lines have to spend extra time looking at the computer screen to figure out what seats they want. Maybe most people nowadays buy their tickets online with their seat assignments printed on the tickets. These people can just walk in the theater without having to wait in line. And they don't have to worry about showing up at the box office only to be told that their show was sold out. By the same token, it might be harder for the ticket sellers to know whether or not the auditorium is sold out or not, without assigned seating, as opposed to festival seating. But apparently there is a lag between fandango.com and other online bookers and the cinema mongers, as far as informing them which seats are already sold and assigned, as the "nearly sold out auditorium"(as per what the ticket seller told us) was actually nearly empty! Apparently there were a lot of online ticket holder no-shows! But on the other hand, on a crowded Friday or Saturday night, assigned seating might be better to prevent "overbooking". At least the cinemas try to avoid having to "bump" overbooked passen-theatergoers (airlines take the hint!) REVERSING CRITICAL POLARITY OK, now that I got all that goldang negativity out of the way, I can now say something good. First of all, that THIS theater, at least for now, is charging "even Steven"(tax incl. rounded off to the nearest .25). Secondly, the seating was luxurious, that even has slide away tables that you can put your treats on, rather than on the floor or on your lap. So, I love that they've overhauled several theaters and the seats are now recliners. What I don't like is that the staff still seems not to give a flying ficus whether you are there or not. "You know you can buy your tickets at the kiosk, right?" Yes. Yes, I do. But, you're just standing here and there's a *line* at the kiosk. Earn your keep, Skippy! The concessions are, as they are in every theater, overpriced. The difference here is that the selection is crap and the service is ridiculous. "Fine. I'll make it again for you. Would you prefer this uncooked one to the concrete one." No. I want a pretzel, not a dental bill. Also, the bathroom situation is ridiculous. You need a map and a strong constitution to piss here. Almost universally hated across Seattle, and beyond. Here are some of the grievances I have, a lot of which can be found in other reviews: -Staff is particularly unfriendly, they feel more like security guards at a nightclub than greeting staff at a family-friendly movie theater -Escalators are always broken, 5/10 times I'm at this regal and one of the escalators, usually (inconveniently) the "up" escalator, is just fenced off -Upper floor snacks are ABANDONED. Yup, I don't know how else to better describe it, the second and third floor of the theater have concession stands, except the upper one hasn't seen any use since I was a child. If I ever need mid-movie snacks while I'm watching a movie on the third floor, I know I have to plan my route around having to run out of the theater, down the stairs (escalators are broken :/) wait an hour and 45 minutes for a small bowl of popcorn before RUNNING back up the stairs only to finally enjoy my overpriced food with my overpriced movie. Speaking of which: -Food seems to be specifically engineered to be ready right before your movie starts, I.e any and all food takes a very, VERY long time. This wait would be fine at a restaurant, but this is a MOVIE THEATER, and the pizza I get after my long wait is just BAD. Please, for God's sake PREMAKE THE FOOD There's a lot more I haven't covered, but at this time of day I feel like I could be doing something better than beating a dead horse by giving this terrible theater another bad review read more

I love going to the theater and I try to do it once a week. Having a good theater is imperative to my personal happiness and can say with certainty that this Regal passes with flying colors. When I first moved to Seattle I tried about 5 different theaters in the general vicinity of my home before picking the Regal as my regular viewing spot. What made it so special? Mainly just that the fully reclining chairs are so damn comfortable. They are giant pillowy monstrosities with fantastic amounts of leg room and I can curl up into a little ball and pretend like I have a big screen to view movies on in my very own home. I have never been more comfortable in a theater. I have a lot of food allergies so I do not eat most of what they have to offer for snacks but I appreciate that their butter is made without butter so I tend to grab a large tub of that and call it a night. The staff is always super helpful and pleasant to interact with, the theater itself is clean and tidy, the restrooms are always well stocked, and the location is superb. All of this is made better with the Regal unlimited pass as I can see as many movies as I want in a month for less than I would otherwise pay for two tickets. When you go to the theater often enough this really becomes a bargain. Thank you Regal for making every movie a worthwhile evening! read more

I wouldnt say this is the best theater in town but it is definitely decent. I come here every once awhile. They dont have student discounts (or do they offer any discounts?) like some other theaters do, otherwise I would definitely come back more often because I love movies!! I like its big screen and nice seating area. Its bathroom is clean, too! read more

If you want to pretend that you are a human in WALL-E, you should come watch a movie here. You can sit in a reclining seat, eating a giant tub of popcorn, drinking a gallon-sized drink (disclaimer: they do not actually sell gallon-sized drinks) while watching your choice of mind-numbing entertainment to distract you from our current political climate. We happened across this cinema only because the AMC theater at Pacific Place wasn't showing the movie we wanted to see. It was Sunday around 2:30 and the place was relatively empty. Each worker we encountered was friendly and helpful (except for the chick that was irritated when we asked where the bathroom was. I'm sure she gets that question a million times a day but hey, the signs point in a certain direction and it's all confusing until you figure out that the bathrooms exist in this weird Upside Down space between the second and third floors). The food is definitely not cheap but it's not cheap in any movie theater. A big downer was the popcorn. It was stale and cold. The common space has seen better days. Lots of peeling and thrice-stapled wainscoting, and carpets that need a good cleaning in the common areas - but we found the bathrooms (once we actually found them) to be clean and quiet. Apparently, at one point in time only two theaters had reclining seats. Now all of the theaters seem to have reclining, pre-assigned seats and attractive hardwood floors for easy clean-up. I loved the trays with cup holders. They made me flashback to college - and want to order a full meal. As we were leaving our theater, we saw that this cinema has a 4D experience which promises rain, fog, smells, and movement as you watch a show. The current 4DX show as of this review was "Atomic Blonde." Adults pay around 23.00 and children about 5.00 less. We were very happy with our reclining seats. Not so happy about the cold popcorn, but we could live with it. The biggest problem, just as others have said, is the bathrooms. They are not easily or logically accessible. However, we love watching movies as if we are at home, so we will definitely be back. read more

This theater now has recliner seats! I love theaters with recliner seats and I've been to several. However, I found that the seats here are the most comfortable. In addition, each seat is equipped with a tray table that can swivel over your lap to hold your snack. Nice! One criticism is that the theater we were in did not have stadium seating. All of the chairs were on the same level, which can make it challenging when a tall individual sits in front of you if they decide not to recline their seat. On this visit, the people in front of us did recline their seats so it worked out just fine. From a snacks perspective, the theater has all of the usual. The popcorn was good and they have that fake butter oil stuff that you can add in yourself. The wait was a bit long on this visit because they only had one register open despite multiple people being behind the counter. Also, I'm not sure what's up with only having one restroom upstairs. We had to take stairs to get to the restroom instead of having one on our floor. A bit inconvenient. When buying tickets, you can purchase online via Fandango and reserve specific seats (a great option for those who don't want to miss their favorite seats when arriving late). Other options include using their onsite self-serve ticket kiosks or going the old fashioned route to queue for the ticket counter. read more

Being new to the area I picked Regal as "my" new theater based on their reviews. After attending 4 movies over the past few weeks, I will start to look elsewhere. Their concessions area always seems to be dirty, there never appears to be enough staff that are willing and able to help customers out in a timely matter, and the encounters I have had with management have been so poor that tonight I asked for a refund and left out of frustration. When it comes to something like a movie theater there are countless options. My recommendation is to save your hard earned money and try another spot. read more
