Waiting for the last showing of Jesus Revolution.
John W.

I have not been to a movie theater in over four years. You know, with Covid and the quarantining of the non-sick, go figure, there was no need to go and it was against someone's unilateral "law" to do so. Then comes 'The Jesus Revolution' a sort of biopic about evangelical firebrand Greg Laurie and the providence of God moving through him and what is now the "ok, boomer" generation. I could relate to the movie as I was influence by those in the Jesus Revolution to make my own Faith decision many years ago. Going to the movies can be contactless if you desire as you can order assigned tickets online or onsite by using their handy kiosk and pay by credit or debit. Thank goodness the concession stand still accepts cash although the pricing is traditionally high. Overall a good experience. Good staff make you feel welcome. And with six people in the theater, I felt I had my own screening room.

0 stars manager could not remove persons sitting in my 4 pre purchased seats for the premier of Barbie. My family's evening was ruined. I'll never try "Regal" again most definitely not HUNT VALLEY. $77 loss and I hadn't been to the movies since 2019, barely get to see my family and actually rarely leave the house due to my PTSD but tried the movies tonight and look what happens. Also this theater is not up to date ... no recliners

This place is disgusting and I won't be returning until they renovate or at least start cleaning up. To charge almost the equivalent of what the new theaters are is a shame to start. But while the theatre may be old, there is no excuse for the filth. These pictures are the the theatre before the film and on a slow Sunday night. Every seat is stick and stained.

We decided to go outside of our AMC box and try this place out. Let me tell you, if you appreciate great human contact type service vs overpaying for self service, this is the place to go. There was a lovely gentleman checking tickets, tons of help at consessions, and a wonderful manager who helped my husband resolve an online issue he had. You will NOT get that at AMC. This venue was very well kept and clean. To the point that I dropped some popcorn on the floor and made my son pick it up to respect the establishment. My only complaint would be the old school seating. We have grown accustomed to the big reclining loungers. But you know what, I'd rather give my money to a well managed establishment that respects and appreciates their guests. Well done Regal.

It's always been a pleasant experience when I visit this theater. It starts with the people at the Box Office. They are always pleasant & my most recent visit (Jan 26th @11:53am) was no different. Gone are the ropes that create order when a line is formed & I wonder how that might work out in the case of a big turn out but my experience was good. Additionally, it's ALWAYS clean and today's visit followed that norm. And immediately after my film, the staff came in ready to clean up any mess for the next showing. Parking is plentiful although shared with multiple restaurants. This theater is #MallyMalApproved

Regal Hunt valley has the advantage of easy-ish parking and a mall to waste time at if you are early for a show. It lacks comfy seating and curved screens seen at newer venues.

Love the movies and the renovations they have done have made the experience even more enjoyable. One of my favorite places to go!

This truly reminds me of a Alamo Drafthouse type theatre. There isn't waitstaff that brings your…read morefood or actual tables, but it is super close. The theatre we were in held only 79 people, which is definitely an intimate experience. The food types and pricing was very good. We just got a large popcorn and large drink, but we could have gotten alcohol by the ounce, sandwiches, platters, desserts, and not just the standard fare at a regular movie theatre. In addition, the seats were super comfortable, they were heated, you could lay flat if you wanted to and there was a moveable, large tray table in front and to the side of you. I can't wait to come back. I'm relatively new to the area and this will be my choice move theatre now and in the future. Highly recommend seeing a film here.

Parking is super easy because there is a garage with 8 levels and parking is free up to 4 hrs. They have a kitchen as well as a concession stand and a bar. I ordered some Wicked-themed treats: Defying Funnel Cake Fries and a Wicked Witch cocktail. The funnel cake fries were ok. I felt like the strawberry icing made them overly sweet. I also felt they were overpriced at $11. The cocktail was very refreshing and delicious and created a nice mellow buzz. The theater lobby, bathroom, and auditorium were very clean. The reclining chairs are very comfortable and I accidentally discovered they were heated seats. My only gripe with the chairs is the trays were adjustable so you food would be closer to you while recliner. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the movies and will definitely be back.

This is such a cool, and historic theatre and I highly recommend supporting them since locally-owned theatres are such a dying breed. The perfect evening to me consists of ordering a sangria at Tapas Teatro to enjoy inside the theatre alongside some popcorn from the concession stand. Speaking of the concession stand, I ordered two popcorns and two drinks and it was just under $25. Not bad! I will be back for sure.

It has deep warm vibes from the lobby to the theaters, and friendly likable staff. We got there a little early, so, after we chose our seats and bought our tickets, we got some coffee at the wide refreshment stand, and sat a while in comfortable chairs in the lobby, below some sort of balcony, soaking in the quiet calm, looking out the windows at the mural and wall-sculpture across Charles Street. We eventually handed our tix to the attendant and sauntered down one long, clean, postered hallway, and then another offset to the right, all the way back to theater 5. The seats were old and clean, not too-worn, not too-soft, not the modern seats of modern theaters. It's like watching movies in the rec-room of friends you've known all your life,if your friend had a huge screen :-). We had center seats near the mid-front, with a bright screen that filled our vision, and a good sound system with balanced acoustics. Perfect ambiance for the new film we saw, or for one of the retro classics they often feature. There's plenty of paid on-street parking, and well as a lot and a parking building directly across one-way northbound Charles Street. There's several restaurants within easy walking distance, including one opening from the theater lobby, open after 5pm. Come back to Charles Theater for the old-school film experience you didnt know you were missing! Now that we've re-discovered it, we know we'll be regulars again!
