Pretty decent, however the acoustics in any area but in the primary standing or second floor against the railing are pretty poor.

My girlfriend and I decided to check out the brunch here. Our server was Montez who informed us…read morethat he was the only server and asked us to bear with him which we really appreciated. Our order was taken once Montez was able to make his way back. We also were told that the bartender called out which left a deficit in their coverage but I loved how everyone shared in making sure they helped in anyway they could. Our food came out in a reasonable time. I got scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, and glazed apples. My girlfriend got scrambled egg whites, regular bacon, and pancakes. We also got a bottle of Prosecco for the table. The food was came out hot and prepared to our liking. It was several people celebrating birthdays so the energy was nice and the DJ was definitely on point! There was also an option to purchase hookah if that's your thing. The GM came over and introduced himself and we were checked on often between our server and the young lady that was hosting. We really appreciated the transparency on the staff coverage which makes all the difference. There is parking lot right behind the establishment that requires payment. They also have street parking it just depends on your preference. We definitely plan to return for a drag brunch which they also host:)

Even during busy times I've been where she was the only server working, she's always really pleasant and never made me feel rushed. This review is about tonight's experience. After picking up my order (by foot), I get home and see that someone named Maurice called to let me know only half my order was given to me (I believe he's the manager). I asked if he could just credit that portion of my order, and he said I'd have to do it through the app (there's not an option to do so). There was no offer to have the order delivered to me so I just walked back to pick it up. He did apologize for the inconvenience when he handed me the bag, and said he put a $10 card in the bag. When I got home and open up the food (dinner-sized scallops entree), they gave me the smallest scallops I'd ever seen, they were not pan-seared (or under-seared), were rubbery and had NO flavor. This was not worth the price, the inconvenience of walking a half-mile back to the restaurant for, and def not worth the $10 card that I'd have to spend $30 to unlock on an order that automatically includes gratuity. I hope if this happens to a patron in the future, they will consider having the order delivered, and at least throw in a complimentary appetizer or dessert if it's too much of a hassle to credit them. As for the food quality...i just want them to do better. The place is beautiful and I want them to succeed.

We randomly stumbled upon this bar after the royal blue on a Saturday night. We were trying to go…read moreto Club Chuck, but I guess they take a week off during the summer, which is really great. It's super super divey and oddly really long. You can tell it's a good music scene and dance space because there was a DJ and he was trying out a lot of different things so we had the dance for all to ourselves. We also found some random Halloween decoration that we ended up dancing with. I guess there's food here because Yelp is offering it to me as an option to review, but I have never eaten here. The drinks are all well and you should not expect a drink anything faster than a beer or a well drink. I really liked how empty it was and the music was really made for us. I had a great time and I would definitely stop by again. It also feels like one of those places that's a fever dream.

I came once before for a show and I had a great time! But…read morerecently I had a bad experience that left me feeling dark and empty, like the cycle of the moon was causing everyone around me to radiate negative and hateful energy. The interaction forced me to go home and watch Mr. Bean's holiday to remind me that there is good in the world. I came in at 1:15 which is late but the door was open and there was a DJ in the back playing music and like 7 people at the bar. The bartender was chatting with two people at the bar so I walked up. And the bartender gave me the dirtiest look that made me question if I had known him as a child and did something wrong to him because he looked at me like I was his number one enemy. Then he said "yeahhh we're like ..... getting ready to be done....." and I said "okay is there time for one drink? Or did you already do last call" Then he just kept looking off and said yeah no. We're done. And I said okay! No problem. I was curious what was happening in the back like if it was a DJ or karaoke or what because I hadn't seen the set up before and like I said I like this place for shows. I was just genuinely curious and I was preparing to leave no matter what but like F SAKE can a girl not ask a bartender a question about the establishment??? Again he looked at me like we had ancestral beef, like he had been hating me and my families bloodline for years. And he just kind of ignored me. And said something like "you can't just go back there and hangout" and I said "I know, I was just asking. I thought it might have been karaoke or open mic I didn't know you guys did that here" Then he ignored me. Like I was not trying to hangout and get a drink after he already told me no I was just curious because if there was karaoke I'd like to come back for it!!!! Then the woman he was talking to at the bar turned to me and said "have you ever been to Royal blue? You could go there" And idk how to explain but it was in the most condescending way ever, like you don't belong here or like she was talking to me like I was 5 years old?? Anyway I said okay thanks, I was just curious have a good night. And I left. And I left feeling the anxiety and humiliation in my tummy like I had just been bullied out of the cool kids lunch table. So. Sorry for bothering that bartender by asking 2 questions about the bar that he works at and sorry for whatever crime I apparently committed against you in our first cycles of life that made you absolutely HATE MY GUYS even though I was literally wearing my "please be kind to me" shirt. Now im too humiliated to go back and it was just sinister vibes. Sad.

Would be good for a very casual meeting. Best thing here though is the biscuits. One of only a few places in Baltimore that has a biscuit worth a damn. It's huge, flaky and made into a sandwich with egg and sausage,...just awesome. Sausage is house made as well. I've never tried any other meal because it's my biscuit go to! Service is counter and very friendly.

The dance floor was full but enough space for all the dancing. The female caller was inclusive and direct, re-teaching steps when she saw some groups struggling, and she had great chemistry with her band. You really don't need to know anything about square dancing, she taught everything you needed to know. It was my first time square dancing, and although I was anxious about switching partners/dancing with strangers, it seemed like the caller took that into account: you start with just your partner, then find another couple, then you find two other couples, and all these formations ease you into switching partners. I was sweating by dance #2, but I stuck around until the band took a break after 1.5 hours. I had three complaints: her mic was not loud enough, the water machine was broken, and not enough chairs for folks taking a break. However, besides those concerns, square dancing made for a great, affordable date night.

Maryland Deathfest is the high point of my year. Four days of heavy metal (grind, death,…read morethrash..the heavier, the better), booze, friends, and loading up on awesome merch. Typically the first day starts around 5ish and goes til 2 am, the second starting a bit earlier and the weekend being an all day event. I love perusing the amazing merch tents and finding band shirts that I could only dream about (or, I suppose, find online). I've been going to MDF for five years now and it is THE metal fest in America. In fact, it is one of the few fests in the US to draw people from all over the world (both bands and spectators). They've had their bumps in the road as the fest has grown over the years including venue and security issues but I feel that for the most part that has been resolved. Sure, drink prices can be high (like this year water prices kept going up every day. Weird) but for a festival they have a nice diverse line up of drink and food choices (I recommend the bbq and the tacos). The frozen drink stand offered some delicious and refreshing daiquiris and margaritas that were worth the high price in order to cool down. So metal heads, unite. Eat, drink and get crazy. You won't find another metal festival like it in the states. I've seen some of my favorite bands here and have really developed a love for Baltimore in the process. This city doesn't get enough credit sometimes. They are more than gracious hosts. Oh, and don't forget your sunscreen. Most of your day will be spent at the Edison lot in the blazing sun which is a parking lot turned in to a venue. The other two venues included in fest are the Soundstage which is a nice smaller venue and Ramshead Live!. Ramshead is a very nice larger venue with a nice craft beer line up. You will learn to develop a nice way to balance water, caffeine and alcohol intake after a few years. Or end up being one of the swaggering drunk zombies or people sleeping on the asphalt. haha. So, if you are a metal head, I highly recommend you start making the yearly pilgrimage. It is well worth the money, exhaustion and sunburn to see some of the best metal acts in the world, stateside.
