Food was ok but took a very long time to get. We have gone the past month for music trivia and the guy who hosts it is terrible. I've heard from people that he picks friends or certain women to win and I seen this for myself. A few weeks ago there was an older lady there who was all over the host then she did a dance off for chance to win(nothing to do with trivia at all) then it happened again last night, the same woman and she won $50, nothing to do with knowing songs. I don't know if it's the dudes mother or gf or wtf she's doing for him but this guys show is shady as hell. The owner might want to look into this because I heard from others last night to who weren't very happy. Went to watch the Flames on wing night with the girls, saw another table with 'blue drinks'. Asked the pink haired waitress what they were and ordered 2. Turns out the drinks were Doubles at $16 each. Is it Not the responsibility of the waitress to let customers know if the drinks are doubles?? People have to drive home!! read more

We had a great time last night at the Beagle listening to the live music of Kinjo &Young! We thought we had made a reservation online, but Dustin could not find it. He immediately shuffled the tables around and set us up with a table brought from the patio. Our server Katie was there promptly to explain the specials and take our drink order. She was friendly and courteous, and our food arrived hot. We ordered deep fried dill pickles and two flavours of ribs, all of which were delicious! The whole experience was fantastic. I'm impressed with its friendly atmosphere and cozy vibe. The decor is reminiscent of the old TV show "Pig n' Whistle " Great staff, food cooked to perfection. Great presentation and succulent food. Clean floors and bathrooms. Small stage for live gigs and sweet tunes on the PA. I'd recommend this place for sure. read more

Good service. Awful food. Scrambled eggs weren't actually scrambled. Sausages were deep fried. Hash browns were blanched, not browned. Don't know how the guy thought that was cooking. I wouldn't serve that to my worst enemy. read more

Went in for a lunch. Steak sandwich was delicious, and the Caesar salad had an absolutely delicious dressing, with a perfect amount of dressing, and distributed perfectly across each leaf. I know I'm going on about the salad ... But it was perfect. Drink prices were pretty good. The Server, Dawn, was friendly and accommodating. Very happy with her. In summation, a great pub experience. We've been here a few times and afterwards I never really want to go back, but my friends do and so we go. The food is not terrible, although some choices are really poor. My friend has gotten 2 caesars from here and they were both made completely incorrectly. They also randomly run out of things and the wait can be extremely long. I have had trouble with the service here as well. The waitresses take forever to come by, especially with bills. I've also had a server spill beer on me without apology. The ambiance is not that great either; the decor is interesting, but it's rather cold inside and the music is just too loud. I have been here several times before making this review. It is the closest pub to my home so I frequent(ed) this location quite a bit. Today's experience was the final straw and the reason for the final review... The food here is actually quite good. If you get to order. The service "received" over the past dozen or so visits this past 12 months is lackluster at best. At worst, is today's visit. We arrived at 3:50 looking for food and drink. Server showed up a few minutes later to provide us the opportunity to order drink and peruse food menu (which by now we pretty much know). Server comes back with jug of beer and promise to return. 30 minutes later, still no server... I really wanted food, but at this rate the menu will have to do... Oh. It is now shift change and we get a new server. This new server had attended two tables five times each since we got our jug o' beer; guess we sat in the wrong section. New server takes empty jug and asks if we are doing OK. "No, we'll just just get the bill and leave" I reply. New server seemed taken aback, but agreed. Bill arrives and after a few minutes we get to pay. I ALWAYS leave 20%. Always - unless you've earned less, which is usually 10-15%, which is rare. When new server came back, I told her the tip amount was not reflective of her, but that she was the first face we saw in 30 minutes. This was the worst experience of this location, but not the first bad experience. Usually, unless you are 1) a table of males, 2) a large table or 3) a table of regulars, you get next-to-no service. This place burned down not long ago and they rebuilt. We gave them a chance to redeem themselves, but they've gotten worse. We won't be back. Like ever. read more

Where is the guy(curtis)that used to work behind the bar...he was the real reason we used to go there a lot. There was a good waitress that isn't there anymore either (shay?). Different vibe all together the last time we went. The food is pretty darn good but try to find fresh pepper to go with the good food is a challenge. I went to this place on a Friday night(Apr 12/19), it was myself, my bf and 2 other couples and our waitress(a redhead) was wearing a top that literally had her tits hanging out. I get some women out there feel the "need" to dress a certain way to get tips(from drunk, desperate men) but this certain waitress made all us women feel awkward and also made our men feel awkward as they didn't want tits in their face as we were there. We stayed for one drink and during that 20 minutes there, I talked to 2 other women in the washroom and THEY brought up the same waitress and how inappropriate she was dressed and they too said their group was leaving after they ate. The 2 women said they frequent the place and have NEVER seen a waitress dress in such a trashy way. I don't know how they regularly dress but I have frequented many pubs/bars and apart from strip clubs, have never seen a waitress dress so sleazy. I highly suggest management take a closer look at how the staff dresses and make it a comfortable environment for ALL patrons, male and female. read more

This used to be one of our favourite pubs to feast on great wings and cold beer. You could always count on quick and friendly service. Unfortunately recent changes abd/or additions to the staff have left us seeking other establishments. On our last visit we were greeted with a "I'll be right with you" and decided to leave after 15 minutes of waiting for her to come back. The experience we had previous to this one a month or so ago was just as poor. Here's hoping they sort out the staffing issue so we can go back. read more

Compared to the Kensington location the wings are not as good here. I ordered extra saucy and asked four times if they were very saucy. When I opened them at home they were barely sauced. The pub it self is nice inside. It's smaller then the other location but seems very friendly and open. The bartender served me and he was kind, funny and had a inviting smile. I was unimpressed by the fact that it took almost five mins of standing directing in front of three servers before anyone asked if I need something. I finally stood right in front of one of them and told them I had an order to pick up. The food came out fast even though they were very busy and the wings were ok. I probably will go to the Kensington location next time but if I did go back it would be for the atmosphere. read more

We had such an amazing service on Saturday from our server Rebecca, who had some kind of European accent.
