I was really hoping for a good cup of coffee, but something just tasted very watered down with the Americano that I got. I did love the ambiance of the cafe and enjoyed hanging out for a couple of hours to get some work done, and this is nice space amongst the gazillion starbucks surrounding them. read more

Tried them for the first time. They have really unique and interesting coffee drinks here. I was glad I looked online because unfortunately they dont have them listed at the cafe. Came in today and ordered a white chocolate mocha and wanted whip cream with it. Barista takes it out to me and it has no whipped cream in it and coffee was super bitter unlike any coffee I had before. I wanted to try something again to see if there was a better option than their coffee so i got an Italian soda and brought back my drink and told the barista I didn't like the coffee and it was completely full still and wanted an Italian soda she said just place it in the gray dish caddy. Barista brings out the drink and there is almost no syrup in it and just tastes like club soda and cream in there. Gross. There was almost no syrup. Was really disappointed that both drinks were just not made right at all and baristas did not care to offer a replacement. Would not recommend this place, should've just gone to Starbucks! read more

My favorite coffee spot in the Renton highlands! The owner is awesome, friendly, and caring. She's very personable and her staff as well. They like to support local bakeries and small businesses. They have great selection of pastries and sandwiches to snack on. My go to food items are usually the dilletante, the bomb, quiche, or the ham and cheese crossaint. They make amazing London fogs and crafty lattes. It's worth checking out. read more

It's hard it find a spot that has good food, coffee, and ambiance. This place nails all three. Best breakfast wrap I've ever had.

My daughter loves their honey lavender oat milk latte and will visit them weekly. We both agree their coffee is good when certain barista makes them. The coffee shop is cute, clean and with good upfront parking right off Renton highland. read more

Soo disappointed after all these great reviews. Starting positive! Ambiance is perfect and it a a beautiful cafe. But the espresso tastes burnt and bland, I got a latte and I love bitter but it just tastes like a old coffee pot. I also got the turkey pesto on focaccia, the bread is fantastic; unfortunately the sandwich was bland and dry overall. When I saw it I couldn't help but thing how plain it looked compared to the photos online. Not worth the 17$ read more

In an era where most coffee shops have consistency issues with their coffee, Refuel Cafe has none and thats one of the many reasons I come back. Found this place using restaurant roulette and it is awesome. My wife and I loved everything about this place. It is so cozy and has something for everyone. There is wine, coffee, tea and delicious sandwiches! When we got some things that were prepackaged, the owner offered to put them on plates for us so it could feel more like a date night. There are also some games to play and tables outside. Although it's set up like a traditional coffee house, she brought our stuff outside and served it to us and you could really see the passion she has for her business. 10/10 would definitely come here again and I hope she is always busy and thriving. read more

Finally made it to Refuel Cafe after driving by for over 6 months. There is an off street parking lot with 3 dedicated parking spots of cafe patrons. This morning I got a cappuccino and a winter mocha. Both drinks were made great. The menu has quiches and pastries. They also have a cold case with various drinks including bottled kombucha. No wait this morning. The staff are following COVID guidelines, wearing masks, providing hand sanitizer, and wiping down the tablet for tipping. For DoorDash and Uber orders, you cannot add what TYPE of syrups for coffee drinks, but you can add the amount of "Syrup" which makes no sense at all. If I cannot have whip cream on a 12oz coffee maybe don't make it an option on these apps instead of writing a weird passive aggressive notes on my receipt. I woke up craving a breakfast wrap or a quiche, so I popped onto Yelp. Refuel Cafe had both -- just what I needed -- and it had well-deserved high ratings. The cafe was clean, the seating area was inviting and the staff was friendly, so I decided to stay awhile. As I waited for my food (I ordered the crispy, cheesy, delicious wrap to eat there and took the quiche to go), I decided to read the reviews. What impressed me the most was the owner took the time to reply to the reviews regardless of them being favorable or less than stellar. Laura, the business manager, would reply to the negative reviews and offer an opportunity to change their experience into a positive one. That speaks volumes! One review mentioned the Chagaccino, and I had been meaning to try mushroom coffee, so I decided to give it a shot (pun intended). My family is Colombian, so I am especially selective with my coffee. I sipped the Chagacinno in my car, turned on some music as it drizzled rain on the way home. That coffee was a warm hug on a chilly spring morning. The coffee: milk: sugar ratio was perfect! Great lavender honey latte. Breakfast sandwiches had great flavor but parts of the croissants were unusually hard (probably too long toasting). The breakfast burrito had great flavor although I got it to go and thought the salsa and sour cream would be on the side (I don't like sour cream). Luckily, the sour cream was only put on one side of the burrito and I never saw anything that resembled salsa. There were extremely hard spots on the tortilla where it was inedible, but overall, a solid breakfast burrito. If you order oatmeal to go, make sure you have your own spoon and access to hot water to add because I got to my destination and it was literally a round container of dried oatmeal ingredients without water and without a spoon even if I had water. If you get items to go, you will need to review the order and make sure you ask for everything you think you may need. Lots of oversight needed. read more
