I have taken several vehicles to these guys. Mike is honest and fair and will let you know all the options to make an informed decision. They really take the time to lay it all out and let you know what needs to be done now and what can wait. Their shop rate is less than most in town and they do great work. They are very responsive in person, via text, and over the phone. I love that they send me a detailed explanation of the estimate and I can review it all before approving repairs. My Expedition was making a terrible noise from the engine and I really feared the worst. I took it to the dealership, who said it would be at least 6 weeks before they would be able to look at it. They said I could leave it and they would "try to work it in". I left it there for a week after which I called and they said "yeah....still will be at least five weeks". So, I took it out and took it to Reformed Automotive. They told me as well that they were completely booked up and may not be able to get to it for a few weeks; but, they would try to work it in so I left it with them. They called me the very next afternoon and told me they got it in and these were the issues with it. I was thinking I would need my engine rebuilt (that's how bad the noises were) and it turned out to be relatively minor repairs. They even told me I didn't need to do all the repairs, as they all were not safety issues, and I could bring it in at next service or whatever so it would be less cost now if I wanted. Since I was there, I told them to go ahead and fix it. When I picked it up, the next working day, they told me there was one other repair (about $200) that they forgot to get approved by me and since it was their mistake, they were not charging me for it. This place was amazing. Mike and Tank (the only two I talked to) were super informative and friendly and helpful and professional. It has been about three weeks now and my truck is running great. Here are the photos of pure laziness. Took my toyota tacoma in a couple weeks ago and just the other day while driving a heard a banging around my engine. Its was bracket that was completely free floating until it hit my radiator and cracked it. There were also multiple missing bolts and loose brackets in area of the spark plugs they changed. After replacing the radiator I called to let them know of the mistake. Not only did the owner not take accountability, he berated me and bragged about being a master mechanic. At the end of the discussion he told me the conversation was being recorded which I wasn't aware of so it's illegal and I will be talking to my lawyer. I was in the military and I believe in integrity which isn't something reformed automotive in anchorage has. They might do good service most of the time but when they make a mistake they don't take accountability. 5 thumbs down read more

Definitely highly recommended. I had issues with my truck and they were able to diagnose it quickly and explain to me in detail what those issues were and what they were going to do to fix it, once approval was given. These guys are AMAZING!! Not only did they perform what I had requested, but they went above and beyond what any other mechanic shop would do. I am out of state and was getting my car shipped via the Anchorage port. My gas gauge didn't work and in order to place the vehicle on the barge, it had to have less than 1/4 tank of gas. I had a friend scheduled to take it to the port, but because of the gas gauge issue, she took it to Reformed Automotive. They were the only shop that was willing to verify that I had less than 1/4 tank of gas and if I didn't, they made it happen, along with documentation required by the shipping company. But that is not all! My friend could not hang out in Anchorage to wait for the car to be serviced and had to go home (3 hours out of Anchorage) Needless to say, I was extremely stressed because I had no one to drop it off to the port for me the following day. I asked Colton if they could and after discussing it with the owner, they said yes! So the following day, two of the mechanics dropped my vehicle off at the port. (which is a pretty tedious deal, almost like going on a military base) THEY SAVED ME!! Shout out to Colton, Jeremiah, and Timothy. I Love these guys!! The absolute best customer service ever!
