I have been trying to get into yoga for years and have never found a space I enjoy. The Mat is the first studio where I want to go back. The floors are great for me because they are covered in a firm mat. This way the floors a firm enough to support you through poses, but give a little to help my knees and other sensitive areas like my tail bone. The studio has accessories like blocks and straps available so that you don't need to bring them. The cleaning solution smells wonderful, like eucalyptus, so the studio smells more like a spa and less like a gym. They have multiple classes including restorative, power, and intro to yoga. The studio offers "hot yoga", but not Bikhram hot. This is great because it keeps my muscles warm without making me sick with heat. It is a small studio, so the instructors are able to give each student personal attention. The instructors watch your form, and help motivate you to move on to the next level when you are ready. They also support beginners and those of us with strength or flexibility limitations with the modified poses and remind the class that yoga is a personal practice, not a competition. This studio is great for all levels, and the different classes allow you to relax or get a butt kicking workout. The students are all very friendly as well, and I don't not feel judged. It is a welcoming environment and I actually enjoy yoga finally.

She used to have a studio prior to Covid and the women I met there are still some of my closest friends. Sometimes group workouts can be intimidating, but the atmosphere at Barre Length and Strength is so supportive and welcoming, I actually look forward to working out! The results are incredible. I'm on week 2 and my entire body is sore, but also looking more toned! Try it out! You won't be disappointed!

We moved from Portland and I belonged to a Bar studio there, which I loved. Haven't done anything since, except try to do yoga videos on Amazon (it's not the same as going to a class, mostly because I have a hard time keeping myself focused and motivated). I attended my second class at YogaJoy today (PiYo with Kimmie) and it rocked. Kimmie is such a fantastic, enthusiastic, and helpful instructor (I also took her Buti Yoga class last week - such a fun class!). The other students in the class were super nice, too, as well as everyone else working at the studio (I like nice people - I am immediately turned off by anyone snobbish, which has not been the case here). The location of this studio works for me (there's literally nothing else closer except maybe a gym in Deer Park). Also - they offer childcare. What?! That's amazing. (I have a 2 and a 4 year old.) I will be back, as often as I can!! Thanks for being awesome, YogaJoy! ~ Kelly

While other pieces of my life fell into place here, I still felt out of place when it came to exercising. I tried Pure Barre and the Barre Method, but it wasn't the same. And then I found Spokane Barre through Instagram and after taking a free week of classes - $25, amazing offer - I knew this was my tribe. In the words of Ozzy, "Mama, I'm Coming Home." Katie, the owner, has created an incredible barre studio. Each 60-min class is a combination of yoga, Pilates, cardio, barre, sweat, and fun. Yes, your hips will hurt! And your butt and obliques will be sore, but I always have a smile on my face. And I'm a guy in a predominately female space! I honestly don't know why men avoid barre; it's an incredible workout. Each instructor is a little different and the classes are unpredictable. Every fitness welcome is welcome and encouraged and the location is perfect. I'm so excited that SB has become part of my daily life here.

I started in college where our teacher pushed us to try new things to get me at a level that I can't find anymore. That changed when I went to The Union. The instructor, Jacque, was very energetic, but not to the point where it overpowered the meditation of the yoga. The class was a very fast paced class, but it pushed you to the limit. The small class made it easier to follow the instructor without too many distractions. The class was under a black light, which I haven't seen before. I'm not sure how good it is for your eyes looking at the lights when laying on the mat, but I just closed my eyes. Helped with meditating! Overall, this yoga spot is my new go-to. It's the only one that compares to the yoga I had in college and keeps it challenging so I don't feel like I'm in a class just stretching for an hour. Thanks Jacque and The Union for a great experience!

Scammers Be wary of…read morethis establishment. Make sure you take a photo when you cancel and get the names of who is working at the time. It's unbelievable that is what's required nowadays and how easily it is for people to get taken advantage of. 2 years ago I became pregnant and needed to cancel our membership. Have not stepped foot in hotworx since, 2 years later they are claiming we never canceled and started charging on March to my moms debit account for what is shown as the first time according to her bank so she was finally able to notice. We are not sure what other payments were involved previous to this. She was continuously charged Months of due payments for me and my husbands supposedly canceled account, also in her confusion as an also many years cancelled connected account to ours. she called and was told we did not "confirm" our cancelation. We were under one account, and they said we were individuals. Regardless we all went in and cancelled, I don't know how their end looks. if you have a similar situation, get every proof you can of cancellation for every member under the paid account. Take photos and names. We enjoyed going to this establishment, and it's sad to even have to put up this review because the way they handled the situation I have never experienced anywhere in my life. They claim that there was no written agreement of the cancelation. Even though during that time my husband and I went in to the location together knowing the need to confirm cancelation, we signed, and yet that wasn't enough. Because somehow even after signing, being told of confirmed cancelation 2 years ago, there would still be a chance that they would charge us for years of service. Here is a photo of no communication until 2 years later about some payment not coming through. I have screenshotted this round of cancellation and taken note of the name of the General Manager Sara Mentel. Hope this is enough confirmation for them, as due to their policy it is our fault for their mistake.
